Barefoot Beach House - Meredith Lodging

Follow the path and emerge on the sweeping Pacific City beach to the astonishing sight of Haystack Rock from Barefoot Beach House, a lovely single-level ensconced in shore pines and sand. This light, airy home with vaulted ceilings wraps around a spacious outdoor deck with a hot tub where you can relax in the sun by day and bask under sunsets and starry skies by night.

You’ll love this home’s quality appointments, including brand new LVP flooring, custom built-ins, a rustic gas fireplace, plush furnishings, and plenty of updates.
The skylit, fully-equipped kitchen has an ample breakfast bar and gas range for easy meals around the dining table, which is surrounded by windows for woodland views. A spacious King suite has vaulted ceilings and a heated bathroom floor; there’s also a queen bedroom with its own private deck and a bunk room for the kids.

Set up to be your home away from home with board games, ping pong, cornhole boards, bikes, smart TV with premium channels, BBQ, comfy beds, and all the kitchen appointments for any gathering. Take advantage of the foot washing station after a stroll on the beach for you and your dog. Extra refrigerator and freezer offer space for your “catch of the day”.

A dune ramp makes beach access easy, and it’s also a short walk to fine dining at Meridian Restaurant or less formal fare (and award-winning beer) at the Pelican Brew Pub. We searched for a beachfront property with direct access to the beach. Less than one week to our arrival, we were notified that the access to the beach was under construction so we would have to drive or walk to the public access. We paid the rate for beachfront and that amenity was removed. they refused to allow a refund or a reschedule. Very disappointed in the management. I asked and they came back with a 60 refund out of a 1200 charge. Poorly executed . Will never rent through them again, which I told them as well.

The temporary construction that impacted direct access was entirely out of our control, that is an HOA project and the dates were quickly decided to work around weather patterns. The property is in a wonderful location, quiet neighborhood, very easy walk to the beach or various eateries and sites. The back deck is secluded and quiet and a wonderful place to spend afternoons or evenings. The home is warm and inviting and the beds are extremely comfortable. This is a location we plan to return to in the future.

The perfect place for a girls getaway. Loved that we could pop over to the beach and watch the sunset, walk to yummy food, and come home to relax in the hot tub. The master bed was comfy and there was plenty of extra towels, pillows, blankets!

Home was overall beautiful, but when we reached out to management for this property one of the two people helping us over the phone was being very difficult. This person was not willing to help us resolve our issues until we literally were begging for help. The hot tub was ice cold when we arrived and the person on the phone disregarded our needs, and didn’t offer us any compensation or discount. The hot tub was not usable for the first night of our birthday stay which really was disappointing. Additionally, when we arrived we were not sent a code to get inside so we waited outside for an hour till we received help. There was a cleaning service van parked in the driveway and we ran the doorbell 6 times and they would not let us inside. There was no hand soap provided so we purchased some. The side door did not lock the whole trip, so we felt really nervous leaving our belongings behind when going out and sleeping at night. One of the people on the phone did help us out which we very much appreciated.

Thank you for staying with us and for the review. I’m sorry your stay didn’t earn five stars. We take any guest concerns about our team's service and communication extremely seriously. Our guest experience lead reviewed all communication between you and our team, and feels confident that our staff behaved in a professional and respectful manner toward you as you discussed your concerns. That being said, you certainly were owed a faster response from them regarding the door code, and I sincerely apologize you were left waiting. Our tech team investigated the reasoning for our system not generating a code for your stay and that has since been resolved. The hot tub was drained and filled the morning of your arrival, which meant the tub was heating still when you arrived. The drain and fill itself was in this case unavoidable, as we needed to clean it after the previous guest. But you deserved a notification about this ahead of time, and we discussed this at length with our hot tubs team to ensure that next time, we are made aware so we can make a guest aware ahead of arrival. I’m glad you found the home beautiful, but I apologize for the phone support you received, the cold hot tub on arrival, the delay getting a door code, and the unresponsive cleaning crew. I’m also sorry there was no hand soap and that the side door lock didn’t work — that should not have happened and I understand how it affected your comfort and security on a birthday stay. Our housekeeping team has also re-stocked all of our soaps since your stay. I sincerely apologize that no hand soap was provided during your stay, our soap supplier made a large order error that left us in short supply for 2 weeks. Our maintenance team is also investigating your concerns about the door lock, to ensure that is remedied promptly. Please message us through the Vrbo app with any additional details you’d like us to review so we can follow up. Thank you again for the feedback.

Relaxing atmosphere

We enjoyed our visit to the Barefoot Beach house . The home was clean and comfortable. The deck and hot tub were a great place to relax. We loved being able to walk to the beach and local restaurants.

Lovely beach stay

I stayed here with my husband and parents and it was perfect for us. It was quiet and a short walk to many things. We loved the paths around the neighborhood, the proximity to the beach, and the hot tub. Would def stay here again.

Excellent property and location. The pictures are understated; this house was fantastic! Super comfortable beds and sofa, great condition home, wonderful hot tub, quiet neighborhood, spotless property with great essentials provided. The location is literally a three minute walk to the beach, local surf shop, brew pub and market. One mile from the best coffee in Pacific City too!! Best coastal property we have stayed in this far!!

Perfect location and we absolutely loved the place! It was a great set up for us and the kids to have a fun getaway. Neighborhood was really quiet and located near shops and places to eat. The hot tub was our favorite part after a long day of exploring and hiking. It was super clean and well maintained. The house had everything we needed to enjoy cooking meals together and enjoying our time on vacation. Would 100% recommend!

Very clean! Very well stocked. Group of 6 and it was very comfy for all of us. We would definitely tent this house again. So close and easy to get to the beach.
