L'Art des amis (el arte de los amigos) es un hermoso ático de un dormitorio en el sexto piso (séptimo EE.UU.) con una gran terraza orientada al sur de un hermoso edificio de la Belle Époque en el Barrio Músicos en el centro de Niza, a 5 cuadras de la playa, justo detrás del Hotel Negresco. Entra en el antiguo ascensor jaula y ser arrastrado hasta una escapada romántica vacaciones que nunca olvidará! Orientada al sur, cálida luz del sol inunda el apartamento desde la mañana hasta la puesta del sol. Puertas francesas en la sala de estar, cocina y dormitorio se abren a balcones donde podrá disfrutar de la brisa y las vistas desde la azotea hacia el mar. (Eso bandera francesa que se ve revoloteando en la distancia encabeza la Negresco.) El arte de los amigos personales aparece en todas partes.


Remodelado para acercarla al sentir a la arquitectura de la Belle Époque, el apartamento cuenta con nuevos pisos de madera en la sala de estar y dormitorios y el período azulejo situado en la entrada y la cocina. Los gabinetes de la cocina ha sido completamente reemplazado y revestimientos de madera a juego instalado, junto con todos los electrodomésticos nuevos y encimeras de granito. Paso a través de la puerta francesa hacia al balcón y disfrutar de petit déjeuner en el sol en su mesa de café para dos. Vajilla, cristalería, cubiertos, máquina de café espresso y utensilios de cocina están incluidos si decide probar su suerte en Niçoise cocinar. El salón cuenta con un sofá negro inspirada en Nelson George de 3 y un cómodo sillón moderno 'lipstick'. TV de pantalla plana, DVD y acceso a Internet proporcionada. El diseño de la mesa de café de cristal es por Isamu Noguchi (1948), mesas de Eileen Gray (1927), y lámpara de mesa de guante por Wilhem Wagenfeld (1924) Si bien esto es en realidad una experiencia de apartamentos "adulto", los niños son bienvenidos!

Perfectly located with everything needed in this sweet apartment filled with fun art. Quiet neighborhood and lovely outside seating for dinners in the evening and morning coffee. Easy walk to beach and markets and Old Nice. Great communication for access and exiting.

Perfect stay in Nice

The location of L’Art Des Amis was perfect for our 5 night stay in Nice, everything was walkable. Communication with the owners was excellent from the time of booking to arrival. The apartment was spacious and very comfortable. The bottle of wine and fresh flowers was a wonderful touch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.Thanks Frankie and Don.

This is an absolutely superb apartment, super-clean, well laid out and and exactly as shown in the photos. Fantastic location to get around Nice and it's environs. The (many) recommendations from the hosts for restaurants and shops etc were really helpful. We would love to have the opportunity to stay here again whenever we return to Nice

Beyond expectations!

Yes the key pick up was a little stressful, but everything else about Frank and Don’s beautiful apartment was perfect! The Art work is so interesting and tasteful. Plus the surround area is so pleasant for exploring.

Wonderful Nice apartment and neighborhood

This was the second time we've stayed at this property and with good reason. It's provides a comfortable home base for exploring Nice and the Cote d'Azur. And a comfortable place to be if you're spending time indoors. A 10-minute walk to the sea and close to trains, trams and bus stops.

Comfortable, airy, clean, nice views and walkable to almost "everything."

Wonderfully sited top floor "penthouse" unit with all amenities. Easy walk from Gare Nice. Easy safe neighborhood to walk around. Easy access to buses and out of town destinations. Recommended!

Great pied-a-terre in Nice

My daughter and I spent a wonderful week in Nice and loved the apartment. It is in a beautiful neighborhood with shops and restaurants close by and most everything is within walking distance but the tram is also not far. The apartment is beautifully decorated, is very comfortable and has everything you could need in the kitchen. We went in January and were able to sit on the balcony for breakfast and in the afternoon. It was very hard to leave! I would definitely stay there again.

Comfortable bright and airy with spacious layout and two balconies

Quiet, convenient location with plenty of bakeries nearby and easy access to the seafront and to a good range of restaurants. Interesting artwork, decor and furniture in the apartment. Photos do not do it justice. Kind and friendly owners who have provided some useful information about places to eat, shop and explore. Great experience, good value and would book again.

Wonderful apartment in Central Nice

Our best experience of holiday rental in Nice having holidayed here many times. The apartment lived up to our expectations and more! Could not fault it in any way. Communication was first class, the position of the property was central to the city and yet it was away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Nice. The best! It's like being in heaven???

This apartment is extraordinary! It floats above the surroundings with 3 mini terraces to connect with the real world! Please stay here if you come to Nice! What more can I say! Okay a little more although it is a small it is really enormous because of the exposure via tall windows to the outside!

Ap5 days in Nice

Fantastic apartment clean and spacious. Close to Alsace Lorraine tram. Also just outside the door the 38 bus - a little electric number - will take you to to the port or old town. There are a number if grocery stores nearby and a large Casino left on Gambetta a few blocks towards Promenade Des Anglais. The closer Casino does not open Sundays.

Fabulous apartment!

We spent nine days in this apartment and it was fantastic! All of the rooms are very spacious, and there are lots of closets and shelf space for clothes. The balconies are wonderful and make the rooms seem even larger. The area has lots of great restaurants and boulangeries, and you are only a 15 minute walk to the old town and the Med. Sea. Frankie and Don were very kind and easy to work with. Highly recommended.

Idyllic Nice stay

The apartment was wonderful and even better than the pictures. The decor and artwork, every detail was wonderful. Having the terraces was also such a treat and relaxing in the sun reading my book was perfect. The surrounding streets were lovely and a perfect location which was so quiet and felt safe but few minutes walk to supermarkets, tram line, restaurants and fabulous patisseries. In 5-8 mins you were walking along the promenade to central Nice and lits of bars andcrestaurants. Any communication was responded to quickly and key pick up was so easy as well. We loved our stay and would def go back and stay here.

10 day break in Nice

The apartment is spacious for 2 people, laid out in a typically French style. Very clean, tidy and comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need to self cater if you need to, although there are plenty of restaurants available locally. The nesting seagulls on the roof were extremely noisy in the mornings, but it got us out of bed early! Sara Jane managed the hand over on our early arrival really well.

The best

We had been to Nice 5 times but this apartment is by far the best accommodation. The bedroom and the living is well decorate and very stylish while still keep the original charm. The kitchen have everything you need for self catering and so attention to details. I love the quality of crockery, plates very nice to use. Nice heatwaves was unbearable at night without the aircon when you going to sleep but I knew it before I booked so I have no complaints. I highly recommend you book this apartment with no doubt.

Beautiful apartment in a perfect location

We had an amazing 11 nights at L'art des Amis, the apartment was spotless and beautifully decorated with some lovely individual art pieces scattered around the rooms. There is no air con in the room, but you don't need it due to the sea breeze coming through. 10 minute walk to the train station and only 15 minutes to the promenade. Restaurants only 10 minute walk too. Would definitely recommend this apartment to our friends and family. Paul and Ellie

A Great Home Away from Home

The property is tastefully appointed and very well equipped for a long term stay. We stayed here 4 weeks and truly enjoyed the view, the neighborhood, the proximity to everything, and the space itself. It's a 7 minute walk to the beach, 4 minutes to the tram station, and there are plenty of bakeries, supermarkets, and cafes in the area. This was a great home base to explore all of Nice as well as the rest of the Côte d'Azur. We had a couple of small hiccups when we first got there, and although they were issues out of the property owners' control, they were very understanding and responsive. To put it in perspective, we would still not hesitate to give this place a 5/5 and joyfully stay there again!

Best VRBO Experience

Over many years renting this rental wins the top award. The information provided by the owners was all encompassing. The apartment is in a fantastic location. Every necessity is met within short walking distance, groceries, restaurants, coffee shops, Train, tram, busses, etc... The owner warns there is no air conditioning which may be a factor when temperatures rise above 80°F / 26°C. But, most often there is a breeze through the apartment which allows for a good night's rest. We found this rental to be perfect for our visit to Nice and would not hesitate to rent it again when we return.

Great vacation in Nice

We very much enjoyed our stay at L'art Des Amis. The apartment was very clean and exceptionally well decorated and appointed especially for a vacation rental. Many little extras were available such as tea, olive oil, soaps and detergent so not need to purchase and cart to the unit even though stores are nearby as are boulangeries for delectable morning croissants. The flat is in a quiet upscale residential area which we much preferred to the more touristy areas in town. The only reason why I was hesitant to give 5 stars was in regard to the check in service. It was a little complicated and unfortunately nothing was open in the area when we arrived with our luggage Saturday afternoon.

Top floor comfort

My wife and I recently enjoyed a five night stay at this lovely apartment. We chose it for the location, photos and excellent reviews. We were not disappointed. The location is a short walk to/from the railway station, beach promenade and shopping. The apartment itself is quiet, light and airy with lots of large patio doors and great rooftop views. All of the appliances and electronics functioned as they should and as a bonus, we had use of an actual telephone. I agreed with one review that made the rare comment that this apartment was even more attractive than the photos. Perhaps because of all the original artwork. The owners made the booking process simple and were eager to provide any assistance possible to make our stay better. I would highly recommend booking L'Art des Amis for a stay in Nice. Nice gem

Wonderful apartment in a great location in Nice. It was close to the train station (about 10 min) and also close to shops, restaurants, and beach, yet tucked in a nice, quiet part of town, a bit removed from the noisy and crowded tourist areas. Pictures of the unit were true and there was ample space for 3 of us. Bed was comfortable and bathroom/shower worked well. Terraces and large windows were lovely. We rented bikes at a bike shop just down the street(Rivoli), about a 5 min walk and cycled over to the next town, Ville Frenche, which was fantastic. We also rented a car (from the train station) for a day and one night and were able to park overnight in front of the unit for free (free parking 9pm - 9am) which was very convenient since we had an early morning flight. We had arranged to drop the car off at the airport. Wonderful stay in Nice, would definitely recommend to others.

We live in Seattle, Washington USA and when we are here, we are dreaming about our next visit to Nice. We are avid francophiles and do our French lessons everyday. Don is a retired pharmacist and Frankie is a retired accountant. This is our personal pied-à-terre and we enjoy being able to share it with renters and friends. We love art, culture, and travel. Don grew up in the Pacific Northwest and was introduced to Europe and world when he served in the US Air Force as a captain after finishing pharmacy school at the University of Washington. Frankie grew up mostly in Texas, being a "son of a gunner" of a B-52. His dad was originally from Texas and that is where his father decided to retire. He had a love for languages in high school, but thought studying accountancy had more practical career options-not sure if that was true. He studied accountancy at the University of Texas at Arlington. Frankie fell in love with Seattle on a 1989 visit there during a choral convention and eventually moved to Seattle in 1997. Frankie & Don met while singing in the Seattle Men's Chorus. Frankie finished his career up before retirement being the Director of Finance for the Seattle Choruses.

Angels brought us to our 'dream in the sky!' Our finder Rebecca Russell was one (www.coteabode.com) and the Niçois selling agent the other. His name was Ange (angel in French) and he flew up the 7 flights of stairs to meet us there while we went up in the caged elevator. He had wings, because he met us at the top when the elevator arrived. We were captivated by the apartment's charm and views. You just know when it's right!
