Graciously settled into more than an acre of mature gardens on the prestigious Centennial Road, historic Kerrisdale offers guests the ultimate Southern Highlands experience. The large, single story home is located easy walking distance to town, sits adjacent to the Bowral Country Club & is a short drive to Centennial Vineyards, Craigeburn, The Gibraltar & Bendooly Estate . The home accommodates twelve guests in style & comfort. Kerrisdale joins our existing portfolio of award winning homes.

Built more than a century ago, Kerrisdale is a grand old Federation Arts and Crafts style home that is part of the greater Kerrisdale estate. The home features a sweeping circular driveway, super high ceilings, original timber floors and large-scale windows that maximise views to the garden and Mount Gibraltar. Wake to the mist covering the mountains and to the Kookaburras that make their home in the trees that face the lounge.
The gardens at Kerrisdale are rambling and include a vast range of cold climate trees that accentuate the seasons. The expansive and private garden accommodates outdoor dining and includes a large grassed area that allows for a great game of cricket or croquet and a secret garden for those looking for a quiet and magical escape under the large oak tree.
Kerrisdale offers elegant accommodation for up to 12 people all on one level. The home has been furnished for absolute comfort with quality furnishings, bedding and appliances. The house is fitted with fully ducted air conditioning to allow heating in winter and cooling in summer. A Brunner wood fire adds further ambiance and exemplary warmth to winter dining and lounging.
There is an abundance of opportunities to enjoy the house inside and out and to take advantage of the beautiful surrounds. The home includes five/six bedrooms, two bathrooms and four separate living spaces. The formal lounge room sits adjacent to the dining room that seats up to 12 people. There is a large TV room and a salon/library that houses a collection of original paintings that date back from the 16th century through to the 20th century. You may dine outside under the magnolia tree or enjoy a coffee under the oak tree or on the verandah overlooking Mount Gibraltar.
The very large kitchen centres around a large central island and includes a five burner Falcon cooker, French door refrigerator and in kitchen dining for four. The kitchen is equipped with all you need to cook up a storm and for preparing for formal dining.
To ensure you have the opportunity to fully enjoy your stay at Kerrisdale and the Southern Highlands more broadly we have provided information and recommendations for dining and shopping experiences available in the area.
Kerrisdale is a new addition to our existing portfolio of vacation rental properties located in Australia and New Zealand.

We rent to responsible adults 26 years and older or multi-generational groups with mature adults as the primary renters. We do not rent to people without prior references through online rental platforms. Kerrisdale does no accommodate weddings or parties. The house is strictly to be used by the guests only (maximum 12 people). To ensure the continued comfort of our neighbours we request outdoor noise is kept to a minimum and none after 10pm. When requesting to book please provide information about your travel group.

Located on the outskirts of Bowral, the house is perfectly positioned to enjoy a weekend away with a group of friends. Comfy beds, lots of room to sit, and a beautiful outlook.

Perfect stay

We stayed for a a wedding in Berrima. The house was so spacious and well stocked and Anne was an excellent communicator. Some family members are booking the house for another stay in October! Would highly recommend and would stay again to enjoy the beautiful property

Girls weekend away

Was the perfect property for the ultimate girls weekend away. Property is stunning and perfect for cooking, enjoying the sunshine and relaxing. Super close to the Cherry Tree walk, Bendooley Estate and town. We didn't want to leave!

Our stay at Kerrisdale was perfect. It is a beautiful home within large grounds, spacious, perfectly styled and very comfortable. It provided all amenities and is walking distance to town and short drive to many local attractions. Communication with the host was fantastic and I would highly recommend a stay at this property.

Beautiful Accommodation

Our host Anne was so accommodating and generous. We had an early entry into the property with a couple of bottles of wine and a beautiful cheese plate on arrival. The home was magnificent, very clean with plenty of room. We were able to walk into town and it was very quiet. Thank you for allowing us to share your home, it was beautiful, would definately stay there again.

Beautiful home

Close to Bowral town The home had many seating areas for the amount of adults we had staying. Comfortable lounges. Many outdoor seating areas.. We fed the kookaburras with mince the host Anne left for us. Shower pressure was great and bath was nice and deep. Great sized kitchen. Absolutely loved it

Fantastic

The property was wonderful. I went with my daughter, 2 daughter-in-laws and 2 adult granddaughters. We loved our stay, we loved the house, we loved the garden. We cooked both nights (which was easy in the expansive kitchen) because we just wanted to enjoy the ambience of the home. A perfect weekend.

Fantastic house in heart of Bowral

This house is amazing. Anne was very accommodating. We were 11 adult ladies and the 2 bottles of champagne and cheese platter was a beautiful surprise in the fridge on a arrival. The beds were comfortable. Rooms spacious and the new air conditioning was perfect. The Kitchen had everything you needed! Different array of glasses, from champagne, normal drinking to cocktail glasses. With 11 ladies would have been nice to have had another toilet, although there were 2 large bathrooms with 2 toilets another would have been nice. Centre of Bowral and shops was an easy 15 minute walk, a 5 minute walk to the railway station. Would definitely stay here again.

Home away from home

Our daughter’s wedding was in the southern highlands and we wanted a home for our family to stay in, for her to get ready and then for us all to be together - as if it were our own family home. This beautiful home was absolutely everything we had hoped for. It provided fabulous bedrooms with extremely comfortable beds and beautiful linen, two wonderful bathrooms stocked with necessities, a fantastic kitchen with loads of crockery, cutlery etc and a few special treats as well. We were doing the flowers for the wedding and the space was wonderful for all the prep. Two huge comfortable sitting areas, plenty of parking and super quiet. Anne was a truly wonderful, communicative and accommodating host. We will definitely stay at Kerrisdale again whenever we visit the southern highlands and will definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a large family home. Thank you Anne for sharing your beautiful home. We loved every minute.

Asa the main house on the estate it has prime posiiton on Centennial Road. Whilst sensitive to its history the house has been updated to ensure contemporary comfort.
