Beautiful Lake Front Cottage on Winter Harbor

This cozy cottage sits on over 100 feet of lake front property in coveted Winter Harbor of Lake Winnipesaukee. Western exposure provides absolutely gorgeous sunsets. The screened porch allows for breathtaking views of the lake and includes a seating area and dining table.

This two bedroom, one bath cottage has wood floors throughout and a spacious living area with TV and fireplace. Another interior dining area is adjacent to the kitchen. One bedroom features a queen size bed and the other two twin beds. Each bedroom is equipped with a dresser, nightstands and ceiling fans.The updated bathroom includes a shower. Internet access is provided. This is a non-smoking property.

The lower level features another large living area with couch and chairs. Double sets of sliding glass doors lead out to the lake.

This home is part of an association with shared beach and boathouse privileges. HOA rules and regulations do apply and will be provided upon rental.

The picturesque town of Wolfeboro is a short 5 minute drive away and provides shopping, restaurants, lake access for boats, boat rentals and some of the best ice cream anywhere. There are many opportunities for hiking, sight-seeing, lake cruises and local concerts in the area.

Beautiful lake front home. Small kitchen but nice screened in porch. House could use canoes or kayaks for renters and additional small chairs for dock. Beautiful sandy shared beach as well as dock and beach for house. Nice to have all linens included.

Quant cottage

The view of the lake is absolutely beautiful. Lake access is very easy. The owner was very informative, responsive and respectful.The cottage is a very New England small camp. It has knotty pine walls. It has everything that you need for a weeks stay.

Perfect Lakeside Retreat

We really enjoyed our stay at Steve's cabin by the lake. It was so nice to wake up every day and be on the water to enjoy our coffee and breakfast! The location made it easy to access downtown Wolfeboro for activities or any of the day hikes we ventured on.

What a lake house should be

The location of this property was perfect. The views of the lake were so peaceful and calming. Favorite spot was the screened in porch. A dock with a sturdy ladder to get in to the water (or jump off the dock ) was great. We rented kayaks and that was perfect. All needs were met in the kitchen and we enjoyed the living room in the late evenings. Nice to have fans and an AC unit too for the hot days. Definitely would book again!

My family (2 adults, 7yo and 5yo children) absolutely LOVED our experience renting Steve’s wonderful, cozy cottage on the lake. Everything about the property exceeded our expectations. The cottage is appointed beautifully and the decor is delightful and nostalgic. The home is fully stocked with everything a family could need for a week at the lake (linens, towels, private dock, fire pit, and perfect marshmallow roasting sticks included!) The shared boathouse and sandy beach are very private and uncrowded (we felt like we had it all to ourselves!) and all of the neighbors that we ran into were friendly and kind. We hope to visit this magical gem again in the future. 10/10 recommend!

Beautiful lakefront

Thank you for another wonderful stay at your lovely cottage on winter harbor. Peak fall colors, morning mist, loons calling- perfect wknd getaway. Cozy fires each night, enjoyed making meals in the efficient little kitchen. Hiking Mount Major and perusing quaint Wolfeboro a total treat. Could see snow capped Mt Washington from summit of Major! We hope to be back again soon.

Keewaydin Point

Cozy cottage with beautiful sunsets . The place was very clean, comfy beds and plenty of kitchen amenities . The dock was perfect for sitting in the sun and I also appreciated the ladder off the dock to swim . Would definitely go back ! Thanks Steve

A Few Minor Things

The inside of the cottage was comfortable, clean and well stocked. The location is quiet with easy lake access. The reasons for a 3 star rating: no linens provided, no heat (both not noted on listing), downstairs room very musty.

Lake life (for a weekend)

Quaint cottage literally on the lake with amazing views. Overall quiet location with few other people around as we were visiting the first weekend after Labor Day. Lots of seating and a large screened in porch with lake view. This is a great place for adults or family with older kids but unless you have a way to cordon off a spiral staircase to a lower level I would be weary of bringing toddlers.

Perfect Lakeside Cottage

We were here the weekend after Labor Day when the masses had departed. It was the perfect quiet weekend of sleeping and reading and general relaxation, especially on that lovely porch, listening to the boats go by and the waves lap against the shore afterwards. Communication with the owner is great and clear. The cabin is the perfect rustic cabin on a lakeside. Exactly what we wanted. We hope to come back again in the future. Very much recommend.

We had a wonderful time at the cottage. First, the location. The cottage is right in front of the lake. Sitting on the chairs by the dock, you can see the mountain above the lake. The community beach is good for kids swimming and very close to the cottage. The water is very clean. Second, the cottage itself. It's very clean and has lots of windows. For a cottage, the living space is pretty spacious. While the kitchen is a bit small, it's well stocked and the cookware is in a good shape. The beds are comfortable. There are steep circular stairs to go to the lower level, but we didn't really go down much. The top railing is a bit wobbly. With that and all the cute but breakable decorations, we don't recommend families with young kids.

A Rare Find

Steve’s house on Lake Winnipesaukee is a truly special place. Views of the lake from the enclosed porch make morning coffee and dinners at home a great treat. When there’s a chill the fireplace makes for a relaxing evening. Unfortunately, I had some work to do but the stellar internet made it quick and the setting made it a pleasure. The location is also close to many great restaurants and activities. It’s a rare find. Steve is a spectacular host, readily available when we had questions and he made us feel completely welcome.

Lovely lake cottage

This charming cottage & surrounding property exceeded our expectations. The house itself is clean, cozy and spacious. It is perfectly situated close to the lake edge- surrounded by lawn, tall pines and oaks. Nice private dock with ladder to enter the water, which is calm and more protected being in a harbor. Views of Belknap and Ossipee mountains. Shared boathouse (really a game room!) such fun for ping pong and sitting on the deck area. Little beach perfect for playing and swimming. Proximity to Wolfeboro is ideal. It was a wonderful weekend getaway for our fam of 3 and we hope to be back again.

Rustic and charming!

This house is exactly what you would expect from the photos! It's a little rustic, but a perfect woodsy cottage with lots of character. We felt like we were at camp! The location couldn't be better with great views of the lake, walking distance to a shared beach, short 8min drive to Wolfeboro, etc.The only reason I gave this 4/5 is the lack of air conditioning. Unfortunately, we stayed during a heat wave. We are from out of town so I'm not sure how often it gets that hot in the area, but since this house does not have air conditioning it was pretty unbearable at night (a few of us opted to sleep on the floor downstairs to escape the heat). Obviously there's not much you can do about weather, but I think adding a few window units in the bedrooms during the summer months would go a long way!!

Relaxing long weekend

Took my 88 year old mother* for a few days and had a lovely time at this lakefront cottage. Check in was super easy and host answered any of my questions promptly. Beds were comfortable and it had everything we needed to prepare a few meals. We had fabulous weather and spent the bulk of our time on the dock or in the water! My mother spent 30-60 minutes just floating in a ring every day the water was so warm! Not far from the town center if you need anything or want to shop. It was very peaceful at night and we heard a few Loons. *My mother doesn't have any trouble walking but the steps are a bit steep going down to the grassy area in front of the lake but there is a railing. It may be a bit difficult for someone who has trouble walking or needs help.
