Location, location, location! First off my Wife and I live in the SF Bay Area, so we are very familiar with going to the coast. Her birthday is on December 29th and we usually go to the mountains (Sierras) and enjoy the snow and wine country. But being her “70th” she wanted to do a coastal trip that would include our 3 kids and their families. Being spread out between Sonoma, Portland and Seattle we settled on the Oregon coast and this lovely house on the beach in Arch Cape. Being December I was expecting stormy weather and a lot of game time inside. But we were unexpectedly blessed with sunny skies for our entire 4 night trip that ended on January 1st. We took walks on the beach, enjoyed the hot tub, saw gorgeous sunsets and our son even braved the cold ocean waters. We also celebrated the New Year’s by dressing up and playing games, eating delicious foods and drinking champagne! Yes, I’ll admit the rental seemed a bit pricey but as I said, “Location , location, location!” I would highly recommend this beach front house!

This stay was our top favorite at the coast. Big hot tub with ocean view. About 10 steps and you're on the beach. We built a fire pit with the nearby stones. The view in the upstairs bedroom is stunning. Love the Spanish style. Tons of board games. All around a 10/10!

Amazing stay! This house was perfect for our large family and had all the amenities we needed. Internet could be a bit stronger throughout the house, but no biggie. Beachfront access was sooo great! Can’t wait to come back.

The location couldn’t have been better. The wall of windows was perfect to sit and watch the angry storm all weekend. Beds were all comfortable. Everyone loved the tub. It’s of puzzles, BUT a cribbage board and cards would ave been great. Normally I wouldn’t say tat a place needs stuff like that, BUT based on the exorbitant fees that were as much as the rent it would have been nice. Over all loved, but won’t pay those fees again.

Perfect spot

We had a family reunion with a number of little ones. Having the ocean just out the door and then a lovely hot tub to warm up in was heavenly. And Itrips wa good to work with, quickly responding to any question I had.

This is a fabulous property and location. It is ideal for families, and the upstairs suite was wonderful for my son, daughter-in-law, 13 month old and 6 year old. We love the beautiful Arch Cape Beach with nearby tidepools to explore. The kitchen was very well stocked with equipment, and it was easy to bake or cook in the kitchen. I would love to stay at this property again with upgrades. I was only able to give a four star rating because of the following problems: The freezer and refrigerator doors kept popping open after being closed. We initially did not notice that the freezer door was popping open and had some food melt. The dryer is working OK,, but makes a funny sound, which I think indicates it will fail soon. All of the bedrooms downstairs had windows WITHOUT screens. I think it is very important to put screens on these windows, since shortly after sunset many bats fly in the area. One of the people in our group had to work in the mornings and had trouble with a weak Wi-Fi signal. The back bedrooms don’t get Wi-Fi at all. I think a Wi-Fi extender would be important to add to this property.I only gave a three star rating to the check-in process since we were there and ready to check in at 4 PM but did not get access to the property until 6 PM since it was still being cleaned. Additionally, very little toilet paper was left at the house. I was able to call and have toilet paper delivered the next morning after iTripNorthwest office opened at 9 AM.

The view was awesome. Had family from AR, MO, and OR all meet and there was plenty of room. The hot tub was definitely a plus.

Poor maintenance of the house

Booking the vacation home went smoothly. However, A couple days before checking in, I received a message from property management saying that one of the bathtubs is not usable and later they said the shower is not usable. The message was inconsistent and they are not sure about the problem. We asked them to repair the issue before checking in but they couldn’t and said sorry about the inconvenience. Well, we went ahead and went to the inside the vacation home on the check-in day and it smells filthy due to trash in the kitchen from the previous occupants. We asked the property management to send someone to remove the trash but they asked us to remove the trash. This is completely unacceptable. I never recommend anyone to book this vacation home. It looks great in the pics but it is completely different when you see in person. One positive thing about this property is location. It is in a great location and stunning ocean view.

Major problems

The view is incredible. The furnishings and beds are very nice. Nicely remodeled kitchen—BUT the dishwasher does not clean the dishes and we found many ugly little beetles in the upstairs carpet. House needs a thorough cleaning.

Perfect location

Beautiful location right on the beach. House is a good size for a large family. The house itself needs some TLC, showing its age a bit. However, you can’t beat the location and view.

Amazing location

Property location is actually to die for. Beautiful beach. Not touristy. Private and tranquil. Custom hot tub was actually the cherry on top. If you stay in this house you HAVE to use the hot tub. It’s a pretty unique house with some corky things about it to put into perspective it’s not brand new construction so if you like new new this place may not be it but that said the space was perfect, clean, and the stay was amazing.

Celebration on the Beach

This is a beautiful home, in a beautiful location with a beautiful view! It was comfortable whether it was with a few people or a full house. The house was very well equipped. We were impress with the owners inn the week before we arrived, during our stay and as we checked out. We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary in the very house where we were married in1975 and it was nice to be back there again.

Far exceeded my expectations

Fantastic water front view of the ocean. You could sit there for hours looking at the waves. Very nice kitchen. I would like to come back. Highly recommended.

Beautiful location - poor Amenities

Dishwasher was moldy, patio furniture poor quality, hot tub inoperable. Property Mgmt company was indifferent to our circumstances following a rain/wind storm event. Power outage for 24 hours and some property damage to home. Mgmt Co was notified but did not respond appropriately.

Great Spot, Well-Appointed!

As a family, we have been making annual trips to Arch Cape for years. This is our first time in this house and it was perfect for our group. Love the easy beach access and all aspects of the home. We’ll be back—thank you for a great spot to gather.

Dream home in Arch Cape!

Casa Pacifica is the perfect oceanfront vacation home for a family! My husband and I, our grown children and their partners, and our two grandchildren each had our own spaces as well as a large kitchen and family room to bring us together. Gorgeous wraparound views of the ocean, wood burning fireplace, hot tub, the sound of the surf lulling you to sleep, a private sandy path to the beach--what more could you ask for? The kitchen was well stocked, the beds extremely comfortable, and the BBQ just outside. iTrip texted us all the information we needed ahead of time and made check in and checkout a breeze. We can't wait to return!!!
