Tinakori Village Retreat - Renovated apartment in a charming heritage building

Our beautifully renovated one-bedroom apartment is nestled in a charming heritage building in Wellington's historic Tinakori Village and is perfectly located whether you are in Wellington for business or pleasure.

The large living space seamlessly combines contemporary design with the character of the building's rich history. The open-plan layout allows natural light to flood the room with modern lighting lifting the open roof space.

The large comfy sofa is great to relax and put your feet up after a busy day at work or exploring the city. The Smart TV and fibre broadband will enable you to work, stream movies, or both!

The modern kitchen has everything you need for your stay including tea and coffee supplies, a microwave/oven and dishwasher.

The bedroom is sumptuously furnished to ensure you have a blissful sleep. The bedside unit has USB sockets to enable you to charge your phone overnight.

As you step outside the building you will find yourself on Tinakori Road in the heart of Tinakori Village with its historical buildings, antique shops and charming cafes and restaurants. A little further up the road you will find the Botanic Gardens with the iconic cable car that will take you down to Lambton Quay and from there to all that Wellington has to offer. For business travellers Parliament and the CBD are a 5-6 minute walk down Bowen or Hill Street.

Tinakori Village is a charming city fringe location approximately a 10-15 minute walk to the city and the waterfront

The apartment is on the first floor up a flight of stairs

On Street Parking – in the immediate village area street parking is free but time limited during the day and unrestricted overnight. Less than five minutes’ walk away are ‘coupon’ street parking zones which are free and unrestricted on weekends and cost $18/day on weekdays.

Excellent place to stay

Beautifully furnished and well equipped, with very comfortable bed, large fluffy towels, first rate shower, and all in an excellent location. We liked the door-code access (no keys to worry about). Our hosts were good communicstors and quick to respond to queries - they can be proud of their lovely apartment.

I had a lovely stay. The property is charming and very clean. There was even a delicious block of Whittaker’s chocolate waiting for me on arrival. There were a few clod days in Wellington during my stay but I was very cozy and warm inside the property with the heat-pump and heated floor tiles in the kitchen and the bathroom.The kitchen is well-appointed.The location is perfect, very close to the beautiful Wellington Botanic Gardens and close enough to walk into the CBD. Tinakori Village is delightful and has eateries - cafes and historic pub.Would definitely love to stay again.

This one-bedroom apartment was perfect for our needs. Cosy, modern, and beautifully presented, situated in a vintage building, we wnjoyed being in the heart of the village atmosphere on Tinakori Road with many attractions close by.

Lovely Stay

We really enjoyed our visit. Apartment was nicely done, well appointed and super clean. Had everything we needed. Great location - walkable to the botanic garden, restaurants and CBD. Easy check in and checkout. Owners were quick to reply to questions. Definitely recommend.

Beautiful apartment in historic neighborhood

We loved the multi day stay in Tanakori Village Apartment. It is conveniently located, had everything we needed, clean beautiful space, well organized and responsive hosts. Thank you for letting us stay at your place. I would recommend this stay and when we are back, hope to stay with these hosts again.

Perfect apartment and location

Everything was perfect. There is even a floor heating in the bathroom...Kitchen was staffed very well and the host was avaiable when ever we had a question.

Beautifully appointed upstairs apartment. Chocolate and good quality milk were both great touches... thank you. Easy access, close to great cafes and an easy walk to the city!! We loved it and would visit again.

Outstanding apartment and location

We loved this modern apartment in historic Tinakori Village. Shops and restaurants are steps away, the botanical garden is a short walk, and access to central Wellington is a less than 15 minute walk. The apartment is so well appointed, with modern furnishings and thoughtful details. Communication with the owners was terrific. Definitely recommend!

We loved staying in your property, which you have renovated to a high standard. It was ideally located for the Botanic Gardens, city, and Zealandia. The recommendations for restaurants was very helpful. We had fun negotiating the Tinoraki Village parking limits, but we succeeded every day! Thank you

Lovely apartment, great goodies left for us and very well appointed.

Excellent. We very much enjoyed our 2 night stay . Great location. Good communication and very well appointed. The only complication for us was trying to underatand the parking, im not sure the owners could have explained it any better but it was the first time we had come across parking restrictions in NZ and they are complicated !!
