This property is even better than the pictures. Amber is an amazing host and very responsive. The location is great, and the views are amazing from both the front and the back. Our family spent most of the time at the property on the back patio, but we were mostly at the beaches. D’s next door is great for breakfast. This place was amazing!!!

Great Stay

When we arrived to check in we met Amber the owner of the home and she was very pleasant. The home was perfect for our 2 night stay. The home was very clean and outfitted with all the essentials. There were beach chairs and coolers free fir the use if needed. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Casa Azul was exactly as advertised and we stayed for 4 days. The house was clean and the setting is gorgeous. The views from both the front and back of the house are amazing! It is in a residential area that is only a few minute drive to the main restaurant area. The house has a full kitchen and the included snorkeling gear, cooler, umbrella, chairs, were so helpful to have. I would strongly suggest renting a jeep as the roads are rough and you need the space to transport all the necessary beach gear. For those planning on cooking, D’s Garden is the spot to hit for fresh veggies and fruit. It is located right behind Casa Azul and has amazing smoothies as well. The liquor store is also located in the same neighborhood so the location for Casa Azul is perfect for food/drink supplies.

I absolutely LOVED this place. I don’t have one bad thing to say about it. We got in pretty late and were worried that we wouldn’t have food and Amber went through her food and ran over and dropped some snacks off before we got there to make sure we didn’t starve! She was super quick to respond and had the best recommendations. The house was very very clean and the views were gorgeous! If I could give more stars I would! The snorkel and beach gear came in handy when we went to Flamenco beach Tamarindo beach to see the turtles! It is walking distance to a little coffee shop that had AMAZING coffee. Ok now I’m rambling. It was just the best! Thank you Amber!

Perfect getaway on Culebra!

Our family of 4 greatly enjoyed the stay. The location was convenient, with a very nice backdoor view of the bay. Room sizes were just right and the A/C worked well. Unfortunately, our bodies were torn apart by mosquitos in the main living room/kitchen areas (no A/C), but still worth it. The house had various water floats and beach chairs that we took advantage of. Our host, Amber was very easy to communicate with. Thank you, Amber!

Relaxing with a View

First, you will need a vehicle. The host recommended this to us, and it is true, you will have to have it. The Great things: Well stocked. There are basic household items in the unit that will make your stay better. There are items available for the beach (chairs/toys etc) which is great. There is a real nice view from the front and the rear. The host was helpful and quick to respond. Our children are little, so the fact that there are so many basic supplies on arrival made traveling easier for us. The Bad: Mosquitos and cockroaches. Lots of both. Just be prepared, bring bug spray. Overall: We really enjoyed the island, the stay, and the host.

Casa Azul- Our dream realized

Our family could not have been more pleased with our short stay at Casa Azul. The accommodations were clean, comfortable, and cozy. Woke up with sunrise on the back patio and finished the day watching the sunset from the front porch. It was such a treat to walk around the corner to D's Garden for fresh groceries and smoothies. Host Amber went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic experience. We're already considering dates for our next visit!

Humble but cozy

Very nice house. The mattresses are the best I’ve tried in any guesthouse. Beautiful location and have nothing bad to say. It was perfect for our family of 5.

Amazing first trip to Culebra!

We absolutely had the best vacation we have had in a long time while visiting Culebra for the first time! Amber is the very best host l! She was very good at communicating with me since the very beginning of our booking process. We booked the property months before we got there and I had a lot of questions about the process of getting to Culebra. Amber was so good at getting back to me very quickly and she was a wealth of great info! We will definitely go back to Casa Azul! Amber had everything we needed for a beach vacation, the only thing you needed was your bathing suit and to rent a Jeep or golf cart!😂👍🏻❤️☀️

Just a perfect terrace for a Culebra sunrise... and sunset!

This little, beautiful rustic house is perfectly set east-west on top a small hill off the central Ensenada bay of Culebra. Because of this, it gives both spectacular sunrises AND sunsets. I have been to Culebra many times and this is a particularly wonderful amenity... aside from the great, fully equipped kitchen, comfy bedrooms, and fully working internet. Our little three year old daughter was very safe and had lots of fun there, and for the price I think you be hard-pressed to find a better deal. The owner, Amber, is super nice and we hope to be back again!

It was great!

The stayed at the house was great! The house is at a great location in the island. The house has amazing views from the back and front! You can feel the air coming into the house. The house was clean and the people in the community are welcoming!

Wonderful stay!

Our family enjoyed our vacation at Casa Azul. The home was clean, comfortable and everything worked perfectly. The constant breeze throughout the house was refreshing. No need for air conditioning, even though there were units in each of the bedrooms. It was really nice to have a washing machine too. Thank you!

I was born and raised in Northern California wine country just north of San Francisco. I love traveling, which I've done a lot of, and had the great opportunity of living in Gijon, Spain for three years. My mom, and her family are from Utuado, and Arecibo Puerto Rico. After visiting Puerto Rico several times over the last 20 years, I decided that I would love to buy a house there. I always thought that it would be on the mainland of PR, but after spending time in Culebra, I feel in love with it, and now I have Casa Azul!!
