Private, secluded 100 + year old cottage located on the city fringe. Surrounded by mature trees just 27 mins drive to CHC Airport or 22 mins to CBD
Please note :
1. While we don`t have network cellular coverage, mobile calls can be made and received through our high speed internet with a technology called wifi calling. We will have easy instructions for you to enable this during your stay 2. There is a limited kitchen however there is a Restaurant within walking distance & also Uber Eats avail
This is a turn of the century built cottage with character features.
For kitchen cooking facilities, we have a single plate induction cooker and a microwave.

We live nearby and can be contacted through the app should you need assistance.
Walking distance to the Bicycle Thief Restaurant and Rossendale Winery.
Uber is available 1. The most important rule. Have fun!
2. Please note there is no cellphone coverage at the property. When you arrive, connect to the Wifi, and enable Wifi calling on your phone, from there you will be able to make and receive calls. In iOS this is in Settings / Phone / Wifi Calling.
3. You`ll be staying in someone`s home, so please treat it with care and respect
4. Checking in and out. Check-in at 4 pm unless arranged prior Check-out at 10 am unless arranged prior
Any deviation from this is by request only in advance and we will do our best to accommodate. Unapproved late check-outs and check-ins will be charged $100/hour.
5. During your stay, only the number of guests confirmed at the time of your booking are permitted to stay. If you bring more people than agreed upon in your reservation, you will be asked to leave without refund and / or charged an extra $70 per person per night.
6. The booker or primary guest must be 25+ .
7. Pets are NOT allowed. If you bring a pet, you will be asked to leave without a refund. If you bring a pet and any incident happens with your pet and any other person or animal, the homeowners are not liable. Any damage caused by your pets inside will result in a $200 extra cleaning fee plus all replacement costs for any further damages.
8. Quiet hours 10:00 pm - 8:00 am. No loud noise outside after 10:00 pm. Although we are in a lifestyle block, we still have neighbours close by.
9. Parking There is a carport for one car and enough parking spaces in the vicinity.
10. No parties or events and no commercial photography. Only pre-approved gatherings are permitted.
11. Smoking, Vaping and Drugs Smoking including vaping is NOT allowed inside and drugs of any kind are NOT permitted in the property. Any damage caused by these actions will result in a $200 extra cleaning fee plus all the replacement costs of any other further damages.
12. Please keep the property and all furnishings in good order, removing any items from the property, including linens, and living & kitchen furnishings, is not permitted and you will be charged accordingly if anything is removed.
13. Only use appliances for their intended uses. Should any damage occur, please notify the hosts immediately. Any damage to any items at the property, including couches, chairs, tables, wall arts, TVs, beds, sheets, towels, pillows, etc., are the responsibility of the renter. Every item will be looked at before arrival and after departure.
14. Maintenance is not available during your stay unless it`s urgent ( water leakage, blocked sewer, broken windows/doors ). If something is broken or not working ( microwave etc ), please let us know! We will repair/replace after your stay. Any minor issues e.g. TV is not working, please message us. We will be happy to assist you.
15. The owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or illness that occur while on the premises or its facilities, as well as loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.
16. Before you leave, we ask that the items below be completed to help our housekeeper prepare for the next guest: Please empty the fridge and put your rubbish / recycling in their designated bins which are located in the green shed along the driveway. Please leave sheets and comforters on the beds. Please lock all doors and all windows upon departure.
17. If you think you cannot honour these rules, we ask you not to book.

This was an exceptional place to stay nestled away from the business of the city but only a 20 minute drive to the center of christchurch. The cottage was clean and tidy with everything you need for a relaxing get away. The bed was very comfortable. I will highly recommend this beautiful accomodation to anyone staying in christchurch.

Everything about my stay was wonderful. The place was very easy to find and to get into from the clear instructions. There were snacks, drinks in the fridge and hot drinks. The TV had Netflix, Prime and Disney. Plenty of utensils and lots of spares ( batteries etc). All living arrangements comfy - bedroom, bathroom and lounge. Robes available. Hosts, Matt and Bev were in contact if needed. The property is very private. Overall my stay was perfect.

Cute private cottage in country setting
Stayed alone in the cottage - completely private and peaceful. Several kilometres away from town. Very rural peaceful. All amenities included.

Excellent solo stay location - but bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper
One of the cleanest holiday homes / rentals I have stayed in. Hosts were very clear with communication and made the self-check in and out easy. Kitchen well-stocked with pots and pans, cutlery, crockery etc. Netflix available via an account already set-up on the TV, which was great. Italian restaurant directly over the road that opens for dinner is lovely.The only issue I had was road and wind noise - the road is quiet but anything that does go past you definitely know about, alongside the large trees making a bit of sound when they sway in the wind. Easily fixed with a pair of earplugs when going to sleep.I would stay again!

Absolutely Perfect
The cottage was situated in a quiet rural area. Private, very pretty and quaint. Literally no neighbours close by.
The floors are a little uneven but this is part of the charm and history of a 100 year old cottage . It is full of character. It's a good base if you want to travel within Christchurch and beyond.
The hosts had thought of everything. All sorts of beverages and snacks welcomed us. Thankyou so much.
It had a definite french feel with the furnishings and tastefully presented.. It was immaculate and clean with fresh daffodils in a jug at the door. So many beautiful little touches.
I particularly loved the set of portmerion china that was there to use everyday.
I can recommend this stay without hesitation. The communication was brilliant and the whole experience was faultless.
It is definitely excellent value.
