This property has all you need and more for a large family of any ages and stages! We had out of town family come stay at this home, and they were all very comfortable and at home here. The property alone is beautiful and there’s so much to do on it. The kitchen was very well stocked, beds and rooms were comfortable, and the host had great communication. We appreciate you opening your home to our family. They are planning on coming again in the summer and mentioned they would love to stay here again!

This was a fantastic property for our family trip to Colorado Springs. Zipline, trampoline, playground, plenty of outdoor seating and privacy. The bedrooms, kitchen spaces, living/family rooms, were spacious and comfortable. Some aspects of the home show its age and require some minor fixes (sticky windows, some mold on the outdoor cushions, leaky shower) but nothing that kept us from having an awesome stay.

Great house with lots of space for our group of 6. Suzanne was a great host and responsive to our request or questions. Beautiful setting but a car is definately required to access sites, restaurants and shopping.

We had a lovely time at this home. The location was perfect—close to everything we wanted to explore, yet tucked away enough to enjoy some peace and quiet. The house has a lot of character and clearly holds many memories. We enjoyed the outdoor spaces and walks in the neighborhood.Even though the air conditioning was appreciated during the warmer afternoons — they were a bit tricky to navigate with multiple units and instructions. A few small touches around the home could use a bit of freshening up, but it didn’t take away from the experience. With a little extra attention, this place could really shine even brighter!We’d consider coming back!

Family Trip

This was a great family vacation! The home was perfect for all of the family to be together and yet had enough room for privacy! The location was perfect, close to all of the attractions we went to! The kids absolutely loved the Zip Line and the ground floor trampoline! The decks were great for our gatherings for morning coffee & evening relaxation! Communications with Susanne was great! we would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful house that needs some TLC

House worked well for our extended family vacation. Grandkids enjoyed the zipline and the hot tub. Some of the windows wouldn’t shut/lock which bothered us at night. Some appliances and the grill were in need of a deep clean, and a maintenance person showed up unannounced late on our last night. Susanne was easy to reach and responded quickly to our concerns.

Absolutely Beautiful!

This home was perfect for our large family with five children under the age of four. The indoor play room and outside play areas kept them happily occupied for hours. We enjoyed the outdoor areas especially in the evenings as we sat around the nice fire pit. The home is older and is showing some wear but we’d stay here again in the future for sure! It feels like a true home and is decorated beautifully. It was very clean and had all sorts of extras in case we forgot anything. Thank you for the use of this amazing property!

Family and friends graduation celebration

We gathered to celebrate our daughter’s graduation. The property is spacious and grand. It is an older farmhouse with lots of character and lots of privacy. The owner was friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed the amenities especially the outdoor space with the fire pit, volleyball court, and grill. I would highly recommend.

Perfect Family Vacation

This house was just perfect for our multi family vacation. We had children ages 5, 3, and 2 years old, and they had so much fun. The playroom inside was perfect and the kids loved the outdoor fun. The kitchen had everything we needed to make at home meals for 8 people. It exceeded our expectations and made it a very memorable trip.

Week in Paradise

We have been getting together once a year with our whole family who come from all over the US, both coasts and even overseas. The photographs do not do it justice. The home is so very comfortable with many different nooks and private places to enjoy the beautiful Colorado scenery and weather. The bedrooms were furnished so comfortably and designed in such a cozy fashion. There is enough space for the whole family to enjoy meals all together, gather around the fire to roast marshmallows or laugh together once the littles have gone to bed. We grilled on the grill, smoked some meats in the smoker, made fresh pasta in the beautiful kitchen. And all worked together to prepare our family meals. It was a magical week for us as we celebrated the anniversary of our grandfather‘s passing 2 1/2 years ago. We know he was with us in spirit and would have loved this gorgeous home! Susanne was such an easy person to work with. I hope to be able to come back again soon!

Fantastic place to stay near Colorado Springs!

We visited with a couple of our children and grandchildren. We decided to stay at this house and loved it! The house was beautifully situated on a partially wooded lot with so many fun outdoor activities including the zipline, in ground trampoline and great swing/slide structure. Our granddaughter had a blast! The outdoor seating area gave us the opportunity to eat outside and just relax. The house was well appointed and beautifully furnished. Our grandchildren used the playroom every day. The bedrooms were spacious as were the bathrooms. The first day we had difficulty with the lock and called Susanne. She came right over and explained how to use it. She was very helpful throughout our stay and had good recommendations for activities for our family during our stay. Another great part of the house is the location. Only a little over an hour from Denver airport and close to shopping and many attractions. We will definitely be back.

We rented this home for our staff to stay in for a recent retreat. Susanne and Craig exceeded all of our expectations, and were amazing hosts. This home is beyond beautiful and the outdoor space is incredible! This home would be the perfect place for any large gathering. We will be back!

Just Perfect

Wonderful. Wanted to give you any thing we found that you might want to address. • Gas fireplace in the living room off kitchen couldn’t start. Said key wouldn’t turn. • The gas tower heater out kitchen door could not get started. • When I tried to open door from “Toy Room” to front of house, the handle came off in my hand. • Didn’t realize until I re-read the instructions about broken items. We lost 2 champagne flutes in dishwasher – stem broke. Didn’t “save them” per your book instructions. • Door to Toy Room was wide open when we arrived. Already told you that on phone. • Though we were able to use garage for cars? Tried to open large door – ceiling motor ran but door did not rise – chain drive disconnected from door? • All signed waivers and put under mat in front as instructed for pickup next morning. Still there at checkout. Jim

This house is amazing!

Went to Colorado Springs for our son's wedding; we had family and friends stay with us. Two of the nights there were 14 people at the house. Susanne Hoffman, owner, is wonderful; even met her son Ben who was also wonderful. There are 8+ rooms with beds. House is fully stocked with everything you could require, other than food, of course. Very clean home. Very welcoming, we all felt so comfortable there. On the property (5 acres) there is a zip line for the kids, trampoline, playset, the hot tub/infinity pool. Beautiful experience,, we highly recomment this home.

Small Company Retreat

We had a wonderful stay at the farmhouse! We had a small company retreat and there were enough rooms for our team - each very comfortable. Beyond being a stunning home, there is so much to do, from the hot tub. pool table to the gorgeous outdoor space. It would be perfect for a large family gathering - I am noting that for future as there are lots of amenities for children.

Beautiful Location

The location was absolutely beautiful! The owners were extremely helpful and on-site a lot! They made sure that things were cleaned. The only problem was the spa jacuzzi it wasn’t working properly and wasn’t usable. We reported to owners and they tried to attend to it but I think maintenance was needed. Other than that there were no other issues. We were able to zip line on the property! We had a blast! Some cooking supplies were provided for us. Wonderful stay!

A Wonderful and White Christmas!

We just completed a week stay over Christmas break at this wonderful home in Black Forest. The house is as seen in the pictures and very nice. It is a renovated early 1900's Farmhouse so it has both modern and vintage elements - which made for a nice and cozy stay. We had snow and they had sleds and stuff so we could enjoy the back hill. There's so much to do that we couldn't use all the amenities in the time we were there but our family loved the zipline, outdoor activities, Jacuzzi (yes we ALL fit too) and ample room to play games or just relax. The greatest thing is that this is truly a house that can handle big families. We thought it might be tight like other VRBO's that say they can sleep lots of people but we actually had bedrooms we didn't use - and that's with 9 adults and 5 children! Christmas there was both wonderful and magical. Our family loved every bit of it. We were there with the crazy -15 arctic weather - which can sometimes cause problems in a home but the owners jumped all over things to make sure everything went well and took care of everything we needed and very fast! So - nice house, very attentive and kind owners, and great location only 10 minutes outside Colorado Springs yet feels like a world away! I would highly recommend this home to those with large families, those that like peace and quiet, those that love nature - deer everywhere, those that want to get outside to do things and those that want lots of house space so you can find your own quiet area as well. It was a great vacation :)

This property is special because it is so private and surrounded by beautiful nature. It sits back on the 5 acre lot, and there are 20 acres of ponderosa pines around it. There are trails in Black Forest park which you can access at Holmes and Vessey Road, and are beautiful but also very safe and easy to navigate because of signs and a neighborhood they wind through called Cathedral Pines. It is a 4 mile loop. If you want to experience a 5 star hotel feeling in the mountains, but close to shops and great restaurants, this is the place for you.
