This upstairs apartment is in a classic looking 1920's stone carriage house in a prime location in center of historic downtown Flagstaff. The property is entirely enclosed with a quaint lighted stone and cedar wall with free off-street parking, stone fire pit and sitting terrace, trees, seasonal flowers and vines, and grassy lawn (Please Note: they all lose their foliage during winter months. Yes, some guests have asked why the landscape color is gone in the winter time ... :). You'll be within just a few minutes walking distance to dozens of shops, restaurants, nightlife, and public transportation. It's warm, cozy, secluded, accessible - you’ll love my place because of the ambiance, the location, and the lighted enclosed exterior and fire-pit stone terrace. This is a perfect place for all types of travelers and activities.

This malapai stone house is a perfect mix of classic and modern, with warm wood interiors and modern updates, including hydronically heated wood floors and a freshly remodeled bathroom. The kitchen is original with a few aesthetic improvements, and the queen bed is new and comfortable. In addition, the entire house is on a charcoal filtration water system.

We love this property. This is the second time we’ve stayed at this property and plan to stay again. Very clean, well furnished and all the amenities as described. Walking distance to all downtown stores, shops and restaurants.

Charming historic property in the heart of downtown Flagstaff

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a historic carriage house in downtown Flagstaff, Arizona, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The location was perfect, within walking distance to all the attractions downtown, and just a short stroll to a local playhouse where we enjoyed a fantastic performance of Elf the Musical. The property itself was impeccably clean and beautifully furnished with super cute antiques that added a unique charm to the space. The hosts were incredibly nice and informative, providing us with valuable insights about the property and the surrounding areas. One of the highlights of our stay was the abundance of thoughtful extras provided. From coffee and condiments to sunscreen and hairspray, the hosts had thought of everything we could possibly need. It truly felt like a home away from home. Overall, I highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a cozy and convenient place to stay in Flagstaff. It exceeded all our expectations and made our trip truly memorable.

A Great Find!

Jac’s place is perfect. It’s one of our favorites. It’s charming, decor is beautiful, immaculate and the location is terrific. Walked downtown many times. Jac was always quick to respond to any questions we had. Highly recommend. Would stay here again if we ever return. Loved this place!

Quiet comfortable and close to everything

A quiet, comfortable place within easy walking distance of downtown, NAU, restaurants and activities. The space was immaculately clean, and Jac was a very attentive host.

Charming and delightful apartment with beautiful yard

This was our first visit to Flagstaff & we enjoyed it so much we've already made plans to return. When we parked & looked at the house we would stay in for five weeks we were taken in by loads of sunflowers, the lovely green space filled with shade, bright colored flowers of so many varieties, & the beautiful ivy covered carriage house. We couldn't help but smile. The apartment was delightful, charming furnishings, with plenty of storage for everything we brought for our 5 week stay. The bathroom was modern, the bed was comfortable, and there was always a cool breeze coming through the abundance of windows. Jan was a great host! He met us when we arrived & gave us the tour, pointing out everything we would need to know about the apartment. He checked in with us regularly to see if we needed anything in the apartment, were we comfortable, was there anything he could do to make things better. He was a wealth of information regarding places to go & things to do during our stay. The location was great! We could walk into downtown Flagstaff, so many shops, restaurants, Heritage Square, or stroll the neighborhood. We enjoyed many easy day trips to places like the Grand Canyon, Walnut Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, & so many fun towns in the surrounding area like Jerome, Cottonwood, Williams, & more, several of which were suggestions from Jac. Nothing but good things to say about the Carriage House & Jac! Thanks for 5 great weeks of adventure! Marsha & Kevin, Casa Grande, AZ

Fabulous Flagstaff Digs

A couple of nights in this historic building were just what we needed. It's comfortable, cozy, and close to everything (except the Valley heat, which we went to Flagstaff to escape from). The host was genial and accommodating, and had thought of everything we'd need before we knew we needed it. Thanks for a great stay.

Great place!

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment is just right for a couple. Very cozy and comfortable. Location was perfect for downtown stores/restaurants as well as traveling to Grand Canyon and Sedona. Loved the fact that a washer/dryer was available, so we didn't have to pack so much. The host was very friendly and easily accessible. Would highly recommend.

My name is John, but I go by Jac. I grew up in Upstate New York, but I've lived and worked in beautiful Flagstaff, Arizona for almost 40 years. My job is in Astrogeology for the U.S Geological Survey. It's great work in a great place. I have four grown children, all boys. They are the center of my world! I love outdoor sports, adventure, and travelling to meet new people and see new places. I hope my road takes me to you, or yours takes you to me! Cheers!

The neighborhood is the old residential west side part of Flagstaff. However, it's also right on the edge of the downtown district and in easy walking distance to everything the city has to offer. City Hall, Wheeler Park, and the public library are just one block away; Northern Arizona University is seven blocks to the south; Flagstaff High School is two blocks north; and Lowell Observatory, Thorpe Park, the local softball fields, and one of Flagstaff's famous disc golf courses are just six blocks to the west. In addition, Basha's grocery store is six blocks up Humphreys Street. This is a classic property in a classic location!
