Great location!

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The location couldn’t be better as your steps from the beach and short walk to the shops in Encinitas.

Fantastic Location!

Wow! We will be coming back to this property. My family loved staying here. We walked to Moonlight beach, the park, and all over the town of Encinitas. There are so many places in the house to sleep and relax. The owner was so responsive and easy to communicate with. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for the perfect beach getaway.

Great location and property inside and out

Rebecca was a great host and has a wonderful house. Our group of 9 were very comfortable and enjoyed the ocean views and breeze. Easy walk to do many places in a safe, friendly neighborhood.

Amazing property with incredibly thoughtful host

Our group absolutely loved staying at this property. The home is beautiful, clean, and very spacious, and is only a few minutes walk from the beach. The host is also incredibly attentive, responsive, and even dropped off donuts from a famous local pastry shop for our group. I can't speak highly enough of this rental!

Great Summer Vacation

Excellent location and overall property. Great for our large family vacation at the beach. Walking distance to great downtown area also. We had no concerns while at the house, but the one time I contacted property manager I received an immediate response. Thank you Rebecca.

Family gettaway

The place was perfect for our family get-together. Kitchen was nicely stocked with the essentials for cooking. Lovely big dining table for us all to have dinner together. Lots of spaces for hangouts without being on top of one another. The proximity to the beach, park and shops could not have been better. I would be thrilled to return one day. It was a really special vacation.

Family Beach days

It was exactly as it was advertised. Beautiful patio, a quick around the corner to walking on the beach. Rooms for our entire family. Inside and outside dining, garage access to alley. Always parking available. We walked to everything in Encinitas. We would book definitely.

Getaway by the Shore

The Modern Beach House was the perfect place for our extended family to enjoy a relaxed vacation. The kitchen/living room/dining room were all part of a large שרק so we could all be together when prepping meals. The house is very well equipped for fun at the beach. Any issues that came up were quickly dealt with by our host Rebecca.

This is an amazing location. Park, beach, restaurants and stores.

Walking distance to everything. Driving distance to even more. Padres game, meditation garden, the Herb & Sea, and Honeys + The Taco Stand. Perfect. House was great and prepared for your 11 adults and 7 children (10-2 yes) Highly recommend!

Amazing location, plenty of room, unlisted beach gear!

First and foremost, the location is stellar! Secondly house as of great quality and has a variety of bedroom options to meet any family/group plans! Lastly, the posting does not list but a property includes A variety of beach gear including a beach cart, sand toys, boogie boards, surfboards and beach chairs making the stay so easy!!! Highly recommend!

Great summer beach house

We had a blast in Encinitas this weekend and would love to stay again! It was awesome that there were so many beach items available for us to use and we barely needed to use any of our personal items. Rebecca is a great host and so jealous of her property. I guess the only bummer was that there wasn’t a jacuzzi anymore but that was minor with all the activities we had planned.

Spacious beach house close to beach

Very spacious beach house, multilevel. Everyone loved it ( 8 adults, 6 children from 11 mos. to 10 years). Large dining table for 12, sitting area outside of every bedroom. Good communication with the owner. Lots of beach toys, chairs and wagon.

Amazing Location & Great Home

We had an extra long weekend with our adult kids and their partners + two grand-babies. This house was perfect for us. It’s half block to the beach and a great playground. One block from the start of “downtown Encinitas”. Completely walkable to everything you could want. The 2Q room was perfect for the family of four; we used the other three Q bedrooms for couples; and the master-K for us. They built a twin-bunk into the walk-in closet of the 2Q room (great use of space!). There is a bathroom for each bedroom! We spent a lot of time on the deck and bbq’d twice. Relatively quiet neighborhood. The kitchen was fantastically large and we loved that the dining table could seat us all. The house was furnished as pictured and lacked for nothing. The home could us a little TLC here and there, but overall, we were very pleased and would definitely stay here again. This home had the old-school VRBO vibe with a pantry full of spices and random goodies left from previous renters. A++

A Week with a View

Very spacious with many amenities. We had a great time at the beach (easy walk), getting great ice cream and bakery treats (3 block walk), and enjoying family meals--either grilled on grill provided or brought in from several nearby restaurants. Also some wonderful memories of putting a jigsaw puzzle together and playing games. With an easy block of one stairway, our crawling baby enjoyed being here as well as giving all the family fun watching him. Stairs are plentiful, however, so not the best for someone with limited mobility.

Beautiful house at the beach

This was a perfect house with a great location for our family. Layout of the house is great. Great views. Patio was fantastic to watch the sunset. It is 2 blocks from shopping/dining in Encinitas and 1 block to beautiful Moonlight beach. Only complaint is close proximity of train which generally stopped running by 9 pm and did not start up until around 6 AM. The family staying in the downstairs bedrooms did not hear the train. Overall great house. Would definitely stay again in the future.

Location location location

The location was incredibly close to beautiful Moonlight Beach. Encinitas it’s self is a delightful and delicious place to visit. We were very comfortable in this property with 10 adults and 6 children. The beach wagon and abundance of beach towels was a pleasant and well used amenity. The property has several high end features, but is beach house comfortable. We had been concerned about parking for a large van, but street parking was always available when we needed it. We also parked a mini van in the garage. The property manager was very accessible.

Awesome Location

Wonderful location close to the beach and super convenient to shopping and dining. Very responsive owner who let us check in early and delay (slightly) our check-out to deal with all the travel problems that Southwest Airlines caused this holiday season! For families with different age groups, there is a master suite on the same level as the kitchen/living/dining, and the other bedrooms are all downstairs. The bunk bed room is pretty tiny but would work for kids. There are multiple levels outside as well. Ample seating at the dining table for a large group and lots of room in the kitchen for multiple cooks to work simultaneously. Huge fridge and great Wolf range!

This home was fantastic except...

We absolutely loved our stay here. We had 12 adult women and we rented this house and the house across the alley on 2nd street. We could not have asked for more perfect houses as well as the perfect location. However, the following downfalls need to be corrected: 1 bedroom (downstairs double queen bedroom) had sand in the sheets (made us think they weren't washed), there was a lack of soap in all the bathrooms and showers (every sink needs soap and every shower needs body wash), there was no kleenex available, there was only 1 roll of paper towel with no extras and there was only the trash bag that was left in the trash (no additional bags), there were only 2 wine glasses in the entire house, and there was a note that said any makeup on towels would result in a $30 fine (providing black towels would be a great way around this, but we were all extremely careful). With all that said, we would rent this house again in a heartbeat since all these issues can be taken care of easily and the house itself was fantastic. Thank you.

Ideal location but ...

We booked this home for 7 nights for a family vacation with our children and grandchildren. While the location was ideal and the owner was mostly responsive when we reached out to her, there were a lot of areas that fell short of our expectations, particularly with the price we paid for the week. While we don't fault the owner or cleaning crew for the previous guests who left later than expected, we were shocked to find sand and hair in almost all of the beds. We don't know why changing the sheets wasn't a priority. The floors were also very dirty. The owner said she would send a cleaning crew on Sunday but only one person came, and we ended up helping her clean because we didn't want her there all day. We washed all the sheets and made all the beds ourselves. When we changed the sheets, we noticed how old and gross the mattresses and mattress protectors were. There were no extra paper products anywhere; for example, none of the bathrooms had extra toilet paper so we quickly ran out. The kitchen was poorly stocked. The house is big enough for 16 people but there were not enough pots, dishes, cups, or silverware. The coffee table in the living room had a big chunk out of the corner making it very sharp. It made us really nervous since it was in the middle of the living space and we had young kids with us. In two of the downstairs bedrooms, the sliding closet doors were unstable and hanging dangerously off the track. The front porch lights were completely out and was not fixed

As pictured but could have been cleaner

Finding the place wasn't difficult, and not too far from the beach as described. It is a nice big house with plenty of space for large groups. Streets in the area are very hilly which is not mentioned, as well as neighborhood is extremely dark when sun goes down very limited street lighting and practically none on the beach. Other then that we did encounter issues during our stay. The host messaged stating the housekeeper informed her that there was no toilet paper for our stay, we hadn't noticed a shortage but she dropped by about 8pm'ish our first night which was nice of her. That night we also ran out of hot water and only 6 people out of our party of 16 and an infant were able to enjoy warm less than 20min showers between 6pm and 10pm. Many of us waited up until 2-3am and still no hot water for showers. Also night one we had trouble with blinds in downstairs master being stuck open and couldn't be closed once ready for bed. All blinds were already raised when we arrived so we didn't notice until the occupants of that room went to close them. Also in that same room Tv in that downstairs master wouldn't work. Host never specified if it had cable or not. That same night once ready for bed we noticed that the twin bunk room had a web/nest of little spiders all over top kids bunk from ceiling to pillows and kids were forced to sleep on couches. We couldn't use that room the entire 2 night stay. There was also a silverfish bug found in the pull out bed upstairs and a couple more found in the kitchen drawers once we were in the middle of making meals. My main complaint would be that with the amount charged for cleaning fees, I wouldn't have expected those issues. No hot water issues for day 2.
