This original Mission Beach cottage is located just 1 block to the main strip of Old Mission Beach. Lots of shops, restaurants, bars & pubs within a 5 minute walking distance.

Property comes fully furnished with plenty of linen & towels, Full kitchen with pots, pans, plates, utensils, microwave, coffee maker, stove, oven, a BBQ for every unit, flatscreen TV in living room and bedroom with 2 Amazon firesticks and digital AT&T cable and, free high speed WIFI Internet with a new Mesh Wifi 6 Netgear ORBI with 2 satellites and 1 GBPS rewired Fiber Internet. A front dutch door in every unit in case you would like fresh warm moist air. A large patio overlooking the ocean with shower to rinse off after a refreshing surf session or swim. Plus lots of seating inside and outside.

Lots of beach toys and games for the children:
sand castle building items, Frisbee, smash ball, beach chairs, footballs, boogie boards etc.

Airport and Downtown is just 10 minutes away. La Jolla is just 1.5 miles away, an easy bike ride up the coast! Pacific Beach is just 1/2 mile north and Ocean Beach is about 2 miles south.

Public bus stop is 1 block away on the main street- Mission Blvd.

Extremely close to all restaurants, shops, bike rentals, surfboard rentals, pair sailing, jet skis, etc.

Nice cottage near the beach. Location in Mission beach really can’t be beat- within a 10 minute walk of everything. Parking is right in front of the property - which is convenient. Bedroom is fairly small with a queen sized bed. Kitchen and bathroom modern. Perfect place for a couple.

Perfect Loacation

I have stayed at this property twice and both times it did not disappoint. Proximity to the beach is fantastic. Place is clean and onsite parking a huge bonus.

This was a very good property. Location and property was perfect for what we were looking for. It is a bit small, but overall it was perfect for what we were needing.

Cute little cottage.

This was a nice place to stay. It was a cute little 1 bedroom cottage. The couch pulls out to a bed so you can sleep more. House was clean and came with all amenities. We would stay here again.

Great beach weekend

Loved this minimalist property that was just steps away from the beach! We walked to great restaurants and loved our time here. The place was clean and had plenty of extra blankets to stay cozy in the chilly evenings. And as a huge bonus this place has onsite parking! We hope to return soon!

Great location. Checked all the boxes for what we require. Close to the beach… you can hear the waves crashing at night. Easy to clean when time to leave! We will definitely be returning!!

Quick visit to see my Sailor

This property was perfect for our short trip to San Diego, plenty within walking distance for food and fun. The only negative was the shower curtain was not long enough and floor got wet after showers. This was easily fixed with the towels that were provided. We also had two vehicles so while the Peking spot was perfect, street parking was a little challenging..

Can’t Beat This!

I lived in San Diego for many years, so when I came back to visit this time, I decided to stay smack dab in the middle of PB and Mission Beaches. This quaint, decorative, relatively quiet, convenient cottage is perfect! Onsite parking, steps from the boardwalk/beach, spacious and clean! Everything one receives in a hotel, but with WAY more flexibility and opportunity to enjoy the local area. Friends came to visit me every day. It was a wonderful trip. I will always look to rent this spot for future visits when I don’t stay with friends. It was the perfect combo of vacation and home.

Owner/operator wasn't super pleasant to deal with. Charged for mixup with laundry room key due to completely absent communication on the matter. No trash can, some missing curtains, etc.

Erin, You lost your key after hours on 2 nights of your 4 night stay where we had to come in the middle of the night to unlock your door for you because you misplaced your key (it is disclosed to you in the house rules and in the contract you signed there is a charge if you misplace/lost a key) There are 3 trash cans inside of the property (1 in the bedroom, 1 in the bathroom, and 1 inside of a trash cabinet in the kitchen). There are faux blinds in the bedroom and bathroom and blackout curtains in the rest of the unit. We are sorry you were not satisfied with your stay. Perhaps with the amount of issues you experienced when resources are easy to find if you were to look around in this cozy cottage a hotel may be more suitable for your needs. We do not appreciate the 1 star review out of retaliation because we had to charge you for losing your key twice in your short stay. It does not truly reflect the experience of this place as a reliable review to people who are looking for a comfortable place to stay at the beach. We are easy to work with and are responsive but the experience you caused us is not ideal and was a bump in the road.

3850 strand way roaches!!!

The unit seemed okay at first minus the parking was so tight that we had to get out before my husband parked and then he would barely squeeze out. Then the roaches came out. There were two huge ones in my kids room and then to top it off in the morning there was a coach on my back from the bed. It fell off in the shower. It was literally 3 inches long. The biggest roach I had ever seen in real life. I was screaming and crying and my husband came running in, he killed it. I took pictures of the roaches but there wasn’t a place to upload them. It was a beautiful location on the beach but that was the only positive I can share. Don’t recommend unless you want to leave traumatized and feeling disgusting :(

Perfect autumn week in Mission Beach!

This lovely old school cottage is one of a kind - there are only very few left in MB, so it conveys a quaint, old-time atmosphere. I found that very inviting and relaxing for a one-week vacation after a hectic conference. Plus, you do not need a car - everything (and more than you can try out ...) is in walking distance. Recommend Saltwater Coffee, Kono's, Moe's. Watching sunrise (to the bayside) and sunset there is a great experience I do not tire of enjoying. Communication with Sarina and Luke was quick and efficient; they were very helpful in any respect. I would definitely come back next time in San Diego!

Great location

Great location. The property wasn’t the cleanest, I actually couldn’t find any antibacterial anything on the property. Weird rules about tv remotes. The pull out bed shown in the listing is deceiving. It was fine for the weekend but probably wouldn’t return for that price with those amenities.

Perfect Spot

This is a lovely little cottage! Very clean! Right by the beach/board walk. Walked to some great little breakfast spots every morning. Easy to get anywhere you want. We highly recommend this spot for a small group or couple.

Amazing Location!!!

Everything about this cottage was amazing. The location was second to none. It was perfect sitting outside with my coffee in the morning with a view of the ocean. It is walking distance to great restaurants. Highly recommend.

Loved the location, it was nice and cozy. Just enough away from things to enjoy the beach and close enough to party if you wanted too. I would stay here again. It was a good vacation

Overall, we had a fantastic stay and enjoyed ourselves immensely.

The property is a little expensive for the area but considering we had a last-minute fupa, it worked out perfectly and we're pleased.

Excellent location and view!

Steps from boardwalk and beach. We were very comfortable sleeping here and loved listening to the ocean from the house. We will definitely stay here again. Almost better than being directly facing boardwalk because it felt more private.

Still better than a hotel

We had initially rented a hotel for a week in La Jolla and found that it wasn’t the experience we were looking for. I hopped onto VRBO to see about a place on the beach and this property popped up and was in our budget. The documents were sent to me via email for signature from the property management, however they didn’t have esign available and I didn’t have access to a printer. They advised I needed to download an app or come to the office to sign. We ended up being a little early to the office and she ended up being a little late, so we waited about an hour at the office to sign the document. The property location is great with your own parking space right out front. The interior is somewhat dated and the furnishings are in need of replacement. The couch was hard and lumpy, the bed was too stiff for my liking, and the AC unit that is in the window for the summer months in the bedroom screeches so loud you cannot sleep with it on. The kitchen is efficient as far as appliances go. They’re lacking in utensils. No can opener, bottle opener, or wine cork. The eating utensils were mismatched and very old. The bathroom towels were also old and mismatched. There’s a “fee” if you don’t put the tv back to the setting you found it, along with a fee for any cigarette butts found on the property. You can’t smoke even outside the property. I found myself a little anxious looking for butts that people walking by the property may have thrown. The good: location is perfect.
