Enjoy the perfect location of this DC 1 bedroom apt situation between Rock Creek Park and only minutes walking to 2 red line metro lines - Cleveland Park and Van Ness. Walking distance to cafes, restaurants, shops, the local movie theater and all you could need, this private apartment offers all the modern amenities close to downtown DC.

Included in the newly renovated space is a queen bed, modern kitchen with dishwasher, cable TV, internet, washer/dryer, a fully stocked kitchen and a sofa bed which sleeps two children or one adult, comfortably. Two separate front and back entrances make this private oasis near the park perfect for relaxing after long days.

Should you need recommendations or anything, we live in the house above and are happy to make your stay comfortable. For extra, there is a private parking space.

Check-in was relatively easy. There was a lockbox that housed the key. Didn't use the kitchen but it appeared to have everything that was needed.

DC Heat Wave

This one bedroom apartment had everything we needed. We were in DC during a heat wave, and it was wonderfully cool in this basement apartment. Its close to restaurants, metro, and Rock Creek Park. Our favorite restaurants were Bread Furst and The Little Blackbird. Most importantly, the bed was very comfortable and it was very quiet.

Great location in Washington DC

As per the description, this apartment was an ideal location in Washington DC. The red line metro stations within a few minutes' walk meant easy access to most of the attractions that we wanted to visit. Nearby Hillwood Estate is within easy walking distance. The local neighbourhood has a good variety of shops and food places, and an Avis/Budget branch in Van Ness made our rental car pickup really easy. Dolan Coffee at the Cleveland Park metro even does a flat white. We felt quite safe walking around this area. While the apartment is a somewhat eclectic space, it was comfortable and had recent upgrades to provide plenty of power outlets and lighting options. Overall it was well-equipped; good internet and TV with streaming options, washer and dryer that were very handy after a week of travelling, and kitchen including a coffee machine and an oversize stove (but no roasting dish or trays). We enjoyed staying in the apartment for six nights and would recommend it.

NW DC Short Stay

Great stay. Great location and access to amenities and downtown attractions. Our host waa most accomodating and helpful, particularly in steering us to the local artisan bakery. An absolute winner. Would recommend this property.

Great location, but a not for light sleepers

Pros: super cute space with everything we needed for breakfasts at home before we fueled up to check out the sights. Well-appointed kitchen and fold out sofa bed for the kid. The basement location means that it is dark and cave like for sleeping at night. Lots of good lighting for when you need it during the day. Great location close to grocery, Metro, and restaurants, as well as parks. Cons: It's noisy--you can hear footsteps, pets, conversations, pretty much everything happening on the floor above. The baseboard heat also cycles through a clicking noise every half hour or so. If you are a heavy sleeper, it's probably fine. For me, it was a bit rough.

Convenient Location

This is a basement apartment with very little sun light. It reminds me of the apartments I had in college. The location and the cost are great but I would recommend this only for short-term stays. You are short walking distance from the Metro and Zoo. The parking spot they provide was very cheap and secure but you can also street park one block further east for free depending on your comfort level as it’s quite dark there. The futon in the living room is probably great for children but I would not recommend this place for 4 adults.

A nice place to stay in NW DC

Great location with comfortable bed and ample, nice quality bath linens. Basement apartment with mini windows but good for sleeping in. Bathroom was tight and shower needs some TLC but good water pressure. Keurig machine in kitchen but bring your own pods and tea bags. All in all a very good value if you are looking to stay in the area and planning to be out and about.
