Great Vacation!!

Loved our stay. It was so peaceful and quiet on the lake and the cottage was so close to Lake Superior (5 minute drive). The cottage was cuter than the pictures showed…I would definitely stay here again!!

We had a great time on Au Train Lake! The cabin was very cute and met all our expectations. We especially appreciated how clean it was! I would definitely recommend this property to friends and family

Nice getaway

My wife, dog, and I really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was very clean and we enjoyed having a fire every night while watching the sunset over the lake. We love the Au Train/Munising area and plan on coming back.

Old UP feel to very quiet corner of the lake. Clean and tidy cabin. Looking forward to our next visit.

Nice little Cabin

Cabin was very clean. Plenty to do in the area and great place to come back and relax in. Very quiet area and super friendly people on the lake. Bring kayaks or rent them if you don’t bring them. The trip down the Au Train river is beautiful.

Perfect cabin getaway!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The cabin was cozy and neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. The location and close proximity to Pictured Rocks were great and we loved watching the sun set over the lake each night. Communication with the host was great and the cabin was tidy! Would definitely recommend or stay there again if we’re ever in the area!

Good location for U.P.

A good cabin nearby many different spots in the Munising / Marquette area. The lake is right there and is quite easy to launch a kayak. Anne was super responsive and made things simple. Would rent again.

Great location on the lake!

This property was perfect for my family. The location was perfect for keeping my boat on the dock right outside the cabin. I never had to worry about rough water or winds damaging my boat. The location is tucked into a bay on the Northeast side of the lake. Right next to the mouth of the river, perfect for access by kayak.

Absolutely perfect!

We couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful week! The cabin was so charming and clean! Fit our family perfectly! We enjoyed kayaking the lake and River- fished- had camp fires, and so much more! So close to the picture rocks national lakeshore and all the beautiful hiking, light houses, and waterfalls it has to offer! We would love to go back someday!

Fourth of July

The cabin is exactly as advertised - cozy, on a lovely lake, very close to an excellent beach on Lake Superior. The floor is slightly tilted. Given the location, I would suggest traveling when it is not bug season.

Great stay in Au Train

It was my self and 2 kids 21 & 17. We really enjoyed our stay. The lake is so beautiful and clean the house is in a perfect spot facing west so the sun sets are beautiful. We rented the property kayaks and I’m so happy we did. We kayaked from our cabin to Lake Superior, it took about 4 hours we absolutely loved the paddle. The house is great it’s not perfect as stated in the description but it’s clean and a great place to lay your head down at night. We utilized the fire pit pretty much every night. We will definitely be back

The cabin was as expected, rustic but okay. The floor in the bathroom had a spot between the toilet and the shower that was "paper thin" and would fail if a heavier person would step on it. The cabin filled with mosquitos morning and night no matter how careful we were about keeping doors closed. I feel they may be coming in through the fireplace or through the old windows. The upstairs electrical outlets went out with the light switch so the fans wouldn't work unless the lights were left on. We enjoyed the lake being right on the edge of the property and kayaking was great. Saw many wild birds land on the dock. Very peaceful place except for the swarms of mosquitoes, would be a wonderful place to visit in the late fall. The cabin was fully furnished and everything was super clean.

Aug 2024 stay

We didn't anticipate the floors to be so uneven or the stickiness of the bar. We loved the location, the outdoor space and that bedding and towels were provided. The building and room doors didnt shut properly we believe due to the unevenness of the floor. Also, we couldn't run both the microwave and coffee pot at the same time or the breaker would trip. The TV was smaller than expected. The dock would benefit from some attention. Everything else was great!

Cute, great location on the lake. Peaceful! Has charm and simplicity and the touches provided by Anne were noticed and appreciated. Clean and well provided kitchen, linens and outdoor needs. Would definitely stay again!

Wonderful location!

This cabin is in a very quiet and calm section of Au Train Lake. We used our rented kayaks daily to explore Au Train Lake and river. Our 10 year old son enjoyed swimming in the lake which was shallow for a pretty good distance. Because one side of the foundation is sinking, the cabin does slant to one side. It took some time to get used to it but added to the charm of the place. We had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay.

Great little place.

Right on the lake. We rented the kayaks at a great price. The house was comfortable for 2 adults and 3 older kids. Wifi was good.

Peace and quiet

Nice spot, very quiet beautiful views. Loft area very low couldn't stand up, but over all very nice. Would stay there again if we come back to the U P

Relaxing and great views of lake

Cute cabin with great views of lake. Close to Picture Rocks and Munising. We had a very nice and relaxing time.
