This property is located in the town of AuTrain and is only 15 minutes from Pictured Rocks. Take a 5 minute walk to AuTrain Beach and enjoy the river or Lake Superior, or to just catch the sunset. The AuTrain River empties into the Lake providing early season swimming. This house was stripped down to the studs and completely remodeled top to bottom inside in 2019.

Space is plentiful for large groups of families. With accommodations for up to 12, this house is a great place for people to get together and enjoy the area. The property has a 6' privacy fence enclosing the entire back yard. There is a really nice campfire area setup to enjoy the outdoors and relax after a long day of exploring. There are 5 bedrooms with (2) king's, (2) queens and one (1) full bunk. There is a futon in the lower level for additional sleeping. Amenities include a washer/dryer, dishwasher, fully stocked kitchen with equipment to cook for 12 guests. All bedding, linens, towels, paper towel and toilet paper, gas grill with propane, garbage bags, hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher soap, laundry detergent and softener as well as coffee filters for our regular drip coffee maker. We don't provide toiletries. If this place doesn't have it, we will get it for you.

There is WiFi, three TV's, and a free canoe/kayak rental is included. (discounts for additional canoe/kayaks is available) The garage is available for your use as well.

We really enjoyed our stay in da big house! Location is close to everything Au Train. House has everything you could need & beds are very comfortable! The upstairs shower is amazing & the fenced backyard was perfect for our dog.

Da Big House is Au Train was a great stay for a summer family vacation. The house was comfortable. Well stocked with good amenities. The shower was amazing. The location was excellent, just a short walk to beautiful beaches.

This is my second time staying at Da Big House. It's great if you have a big group with 2 bedrooms up and 3 down. Bathrooms are nice and wonderful hot water and awesome water pressure in the showers! There's lots of room to play games or have a fire in the fire pit; and there's also room to spread out and have some alone time. A 2 block walk and you're on the beach. The AuTrain river is awesome to kayak (did that last stay, a bit chilly to do in mid-September.) Other attractions are close by in nearby Marquette or Munising. House was clean, well stocked and had everything we needed. There was even a garage that fit our Ford 350 and ample parking in driveway.

Great place to stay and a great host. Thank you for accommodating us and providing us with a fantastic place to enjoy UP snowmobiling. There was plenty of parking for two big trailers. We loved the common areas, the showers, the garage, and the location.

This house is layed out very well for a 6 person group, multiple showers, water pressure will massage your shoulders, no joke. Parked two truckes and trailers easily.

Yes, kitchen was well equipped and had a totally fenced in back yard so it was very pet friendly. Nice location. Right across the road from a little gas station/grocery store, 2 blocks to the lake, and close to the trails. Would stay there again!

Annual Family Getaway

We have stayed at this property and it does not disappoint. Conveniently located for anything you may want to do, hike, golf, enjoy the beach. Highly recommend it.

Great place to stay. Kitchen had everything we needed. Location was great. Quick walk and you are at the beach. Ice cream shop close by is very good. Great communication with owner.

Everything about this stay was wonderful. Our whole family was able to be together under one roof and there was plenty of space for all of us. Au Train beach was fun, only a short walk. The property owner/manager were wonderful and super kind & helpful.Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Very nice location. Central to a lot of things to do. Amazing binder full of things for you to do in the house. Perfect space for our girls weekend.

Beautiful Area and Location

The house is well appointed and comforatble. The location next to the store and walking distance to the Lake made this especially nice. Would definately return.

Da Big House

This home was a perfect place to hang out during the down time of our vacation. All 12 of us (9 adults & 3 kid's) fit comfortably here. There is a gas station, small shop and beach all within walking distance. Would definitely stay there again!

Plain and simply, I am a Yooper. I live locally year round and am a wealth of knowledge when it comes to exploring our area. I graduated high school and college here and I am an avid outdoors-man, I camp, hike, bike, kayak, ski, snowshoe, ATV, motorcycle, snowmobile and Jeep nearly the entire U.P. and if you have heard of it, chances are I've been there, or done that. I also know some places 'slightly off the radar' if you are looking to get away from the tourist areas. Just ask, I'll be happy to give you advice.

I was a transplant to this area during high school years ago and left then came back. I couldn't stay away forever, this area is unlike any other. Sure there are beautiful places all over the country, but no matter where you are from, this place is special beyond words... My family and I moved here in 1995 and my mother lives here to this day. She is renting it for the summer months and will move back in during the Fall. I own/manage 9 other properties here in AuTrain and have done so since 2009. Since that time, I have been providing people a great place to stay, and the opportunity to enjoy our beautiful area.
