Charming Beach Bungalow in Midtown ++

Our sweet Bungalow gives you an ideal getaway from the everyday world. The property sleeps up to 6 and is centrally located to stores and restaurants. Ideal for a couple or family, use it as a home base for while you enjoy some of what this beautiful area has to offer. We have a full kitchen, fast internet/cable tv and a beautiful backyard with gas grill for outdoor dining and hanging out. The detached garage can be an office, a writer's retreat, or a kids' space. We are less than a mile from the beach and right in the heart of Midtown. Come explore the beauty of our landscape and the chill vibe of our community. Note: Per City ordinance, quiet hours are 10pm - 7am. Also per City Ordinance, Maximum occupancy is 6 people. Base price is for 2 person occupancy. Above 2 guests, there is a $20/guest/night fee. This fee is already reflected in the price you are seeing. Price includes 10% Ventura Lodging Tax. Ventura STVR Permit #2279.

Home was exactly as described, perfect for hosting my family. Very clean and tidy. Tim was very responsive to my messages and flexible with some last minute changes. Would definitely stay again should I need accommodations in Ventura.

The house was just as the name says "Charming." It was a great base for a weekend wedding, with a cozy living room, comfy outdoor spaces and a fully stocked kitchen. We will definitely check availability for our next stay in Ventura.

Great little bungalow

Beautiful place. Loved it. One toilet is more work with 4 adults, but doable. The back patio made it feel twice the size.

Cozy home away from home

Such a cute and comfortable house! The decor, inside and out, is very tasteful, comfortable and welcoming. The kitchen is very well equipped with anything you would need to prepare a meal and the outdoors is a perfect setting to enjoy a meal or just relax. I highly recommend it!

Our Happy Place

We love staying here at this cute bungalow! Every year we come we enjoy the backyard oasis and our dogs love it too! It’s fun to go to local breakfast restaurants and downtown Ventura has great shopping and restaurants. The owners are great and helpful to work with!

I would rate this property as a five but the last day and a half we had some power surge issues reached out to the property owner and he responded & checked out ( this could have been out of his control)

Great property in Ventura

Loved the decor of this place and the outdoor space is awesome. My husband, dog and I hung out there a lot. Nice to have a fenced in yard as well. I wish there had been more stuff to walk to, but the residential neighborhood was cute. And lots of things were a short drive away. Overall great place!

Property was easily accessible to the beach. About one mile walk. Backyard is beautiful and we enjoyed the BBQ and patio area.

Cozy and quaint

This bungalow may only be 700+ sq but it seems larger. It was quite comfortable and cozy. The backyard area as well as the front yard courtyard is a wonderful place to enjoy the great weather in Ventura. Tim checked in to be sure everything was okay and assured us that he was there if we needed anything. We were there four nights and did not want to leave.. Will definitely be returning..

Such a charming California cottage

We absolutely loved our little house and the back garden was wonderful. The homeowners are incredibly communicative and so gracious. We loved the kitchen and it is kitted out really well. We loved cooking in it and eating out in the garden. It has such a warm and cozy vibe and we spent two fabulous weeks there. We loved our morning walks to Butter and Fold for the best pastries and coffee. Still miss it. We also loved walking up to Art’s Corner diner - great food, really friendly staff. We really got to know Ventura and adored all the dreamy architecture. Thanks for making us feel so welcome. It is a special home.

Our escape from the city

We love coming here to this bungalow. What a cute place and close to the beach, restaurants and cute boutiques! Enjoy the beautiful resort like backyard too!! We always look forward to a future visit.

Great Ventura visit!

We used this charming house as a base as we explored the Channel Islands. Everything about the place was lovely--very clean, comfortable beds, great communication with the owner. We loved Ventura, and would definitely recommend visiting this cute town and lovely homey home.

Fun spot

Cute house a cool backyard. The dogs loved it there. Close to downtown and the beach. Enjoyed some yummy restaurants, the aquatic center, the beach, coffee shops, and walking all over.

Beach Bungalow

We had a great time, despite some rain, at this great home. Every detail was taken care of by the owner. Great location near the beach, downtown Ventura, restaurants, pubs and wineries. Tim, the owner, was accessible and was in contact with us during the storms. Overall, a great experience. We would definitely rent again!

Robin and I have been together for almost 25 years and, along with raising two daughters, some of the achievements of which we are most proud are the properties we have bought and renovated together as vacation rental properties. We are drawn to properties that have been around a little while and love to find ways to enhance the charm that is to be found in a home that was built in a different time.

We had been wanting to move to Ventura for years, but could never find a way to make it work. We had just concluded it wasn't possible when a flyer for the Bungalow landed in our mailbox. We knew we couldn't live in it long term ourselves but that it would be great as a vacation rental. We love being able to stay here as well as share it with guests wanting to visit one of our favorite spots on the planet: Ventura.

So many things to do, so close at hand: relax at the beach, hike or ride in the hills, enjoy great food (and local breweries), wander the shops on Main Street- or just hang out in the backyard. Life is good.
