Wonderful home in Fairview about 16 minutes to downtown Asheville. Great place to sit in the hot tub and enjoy the Spectacular view or relax by the fire. Enjoy this newly built home with memory foam mattresses on the king and queen beds. The home has a Large front porch to enjoy the view. The fire pit with freshly split wood awaits!

Fall Asheville Trip

This house was great for a family; we especially loved the hot tub. I have to say that the mattresses were terribly uncomfortable. We didn't get much sleep and our bodies hurt from the firmness of the mattresses. The description said memory foam mattresses so I thought they would be comfortable but they were very firm. The pillows were terrible also; bring your own.

Girls weekend trip

Girls trip

We had a wonderful stay. The house was clean, had everything we needed and more. The location was perfect and tucked away in the mountains. We even saw a bear! The hot tub was nice after a day at Biltmore. The beds were so comfy! We will definitely stay again and recommend to our friends.

Clean property

We really enjoyed our stay here. Inside very clean. We were a little disappointed in the neighborhood simply because there is not a lot of privacy. Neighbors right next door. Not much privacy in the hot tub or the fire pit area. Other than that we loved the location for the easy travel to wherever we went! Would recommend to others!

Nice mountain retreat!

We really enjoyed our stay! Clean house, fun outdoor area, charming area/Fairview town. The house had all amenities listed and Murphy was great with quick communication. Check in/checkout were really easy. We loved the hot tub too!

Very clean, spacious, and convenient accommodation near Asheville and other spots of interest. We stayed for a week and we enjoyed our stay. The owners were very thoughtful since we were staying over Christmas and they put up a Christmas tree for us.

Great Stay for family

We arrived and the home was very welcoming. Very clean and cozy. We were far enough away from places to have to drive but close enough that it wasn’t a trek. The home is in a great location the Biltmore, Tree Tops, Chimney Rock, gas stations, coffee places, and grocery stores. Absolutely loved it and if we ever go back to Asheville again it is where we will stay!!

Perfect for what we needed!

The owner is very accommodating and prompt at responding to messages. The property is just as described and well kept. Our kids enjoyed the miscellaneous toys and board games. Hot tub was relaxing with the view of the mountains. Close to Ashville but still felt like you were in a private area. Close to some great hikes as well. Would highly recommend, especially with kids

Amazing Asheville

Had a lovely stay at the Kanupp house. We were visiting friends in the area and this was a perfect base for us (family of 4). We loved the quiet area but access to Asheville and surrounding activities was excellent. Would absolutely recommend and would love to return.

Nice Easter break stay!

We had a great time in Asheville despite the torrential rains! We managed to time breaks in the rain in order to enjoy the Biltmore gardens and hiking. Murphy's home is convenient to Asheville, the Biltmore, and a great hike at Wildcat Rock (20 min). Very comfortable beds (king, queen, and 2 twins which were perfect for my husband and me, and 3 teens), wonderful hot tub! We cooked dinner in every night, and made do with the provided salt, pepper, sugar, garlic powder, and cooking spray. Bring everything else including baggies/wraps, charcoal if you will need them. Food Lion and Ingles are about 12 minutes away. As others have noted, the house is immediately next door to another one, so it is not a secluded spot - just be prepared for that. Overall a very clean, nice experience for spending time with family and enjoying Asheville. If you are looking for somewhere to sit outside and convene with nature, you might want to consider a spot not so close to the neighbors.

Cabin is exactly like the description and pictures.

Very clean and cozy. Plenty of room for two couples. Very responsive hosts. We had a small issue getting the hot tub to run and within twenty minutes Murphy was at the door and fixed the problem in 5 minutes! Really appreciate the care they’ve put into the house.

Anfitrión: Murphy Kanupp

My name is Murphy and my husband is Dennis, we have been married for 25 years. We have 3 kids. Our two oldest attend Western Carolina University, our youngest will be a senior in high school. Dennis has lived in the Asheville area his entire life. I was born in Florida as a Navy baby but moved to Hendersonville when I was 3 and lived there until we got married. We both went to college at The University of NC in Asheville.

We bought this home specifically for vacation rentals. We love the area and wanted to share it with travelers. Fairview is a small community where you will spend hours talking at the local grocery store. This area is close to Asheville maybe 15 minutes but still feels like you are in the country. It is a quite town where one of the best places to eat is in a gas station called the Local Joint or you can drive about 10 minutes down the road and listen to Blue Grass and your local feed store.

We feel in love with this home because of the views. We enjoy sitting outside either around a camp fire making s'mores or in the hot tub. This home offers the opportunity to do both while enjoying the mountains.
