This was my family’s 2nd time to stay at High Windy. We love sitting on the outside deck- perfect for morning coffee or evening cocktails! The fenced in backyard was a great place for our dog to explore. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery and amazing wildlife!

This property offered exactly what we were looking for coming to Asheville for the holiday weekend. We had plenty of space for 4 adults and 2 kids. Kitchen was stocked with all the essentials you need! The tree lined porch was amazing to hangout on and a favorite of all of ours! The location to the things we wanted to do was perfect and we would highly recommend it. The hosts were very communicative and available if needed.

This was by far the cleanest home we have rented. The pictures doesn’t do justice how beautiful and spacious the cabin is. The host had everything we needed to cook meals, he even had a grill outside. Rodney was available if we needed and answered quickly. Relaxing on the porch was my favorite part of this vacation. The location is perfect, less than 15 minutes to downtown Asheville and quiet enough to relax in peace.

We enjoyed our time at High Windy. Beautiful mountain views. House was ready and waiting for us when we got there. Host was quick with responses to any and all questions! Would definitely return to this roomy cabin!

We had a lovely stay! The cabin was cozy, comfortable, and exceptionally clean, with thoughtful extras like shampoo, coffee, and laundry detergent. The modern kitchen was well stocked, and the lower level was essentially a full apartment—perfect for traveling with another couple.We especially enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the evening, listening to crickets and taking in the peaceful mountain setting.A note for future guests: The final half-mile is a very steep, narrow, single-lane mountain road with sharp switchbacks and steep drop-offs, with few places to pull over for oncoming vehicles. If you’re uncomfortable driving mountain roads or afraid of heights, consider this before booking. We made it just fine, but it’s not for the faint of heart!Rodney was an exceptional host with excellent communication. He provided detailed information before our arrival and was readily available for questions and local recommendations.Despite the adventurous drive, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return!

The house was larger than it appears in the photos. The kitchen is well stocked and the king bed is super comfortable. No complaints!

Yes, the house feels larger too wIth the large wrap around deck. The beds are great, they are top of the line Colton mattresses, which is a locally made brand. We even sprung for a top of the line fold oit couch mattress, and it is surprisingly comfortable.

Lovely property, clean, well stocked and accessible to many things. 13 minutes to Bilmore. Yard was excellent for pets and completely enclosed and secure. Owners are very nice and close if you do have problems arise. Would definitely recommend and will be back if we need a place to stay in the area again.

The house was very spacious and well built and very functional. The host was very responsive and quick to answer questions and gave a great list of things to do and places to eat! 15 minutes from Biltmore and really central to the sightseeing and hiking. There are tons on trails for all levels of health! Drive up to house was pretty steep but it is paved all the way to the house. If we go back we would stay here again!

Thanks so much for your kind review. And yes the driveway os a true mountain driveway, steep from bottom to top, ot climbs about 400 vertical feet over a half mile.

We loved our stay at High Windy! Very nice house in a secluded area, but still close to everything. The kitchen had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The porches were the BEST for relaxing and visiting with family. We would definitely stay here again!
