Montana Tree house Retreat: FEATURED On The Tree house Guys on DIY Network! Nestled on a private wooded 7 acres, this artistically designed craftsman double decker tree house is one of a kind and has all the luxury amenities.

Located at the gateway to the Glacier National Park, minutes from the slopes of Whitefish Mountain Ski Resort. Near Flathead Lake, Glacier Park International Airport, golfing, fishing, whitewater rafting, boating, skiing/snowboarding, hiking, biking, horseback riding, rock climbing, kayaking, paddle boarding and many more Montanan adventures.

The setting is perfect for a quiet writers retreat, honey moon or romantic getaway with your own private wooded acreage, or an unforgettable family trip to Montana to experience the outdoors without necessarily "roughing" it with your kids! This is the ultimate adventure glamping destination!

The tree house grand entrance is a spiral staircase custom crafted around a giant Douglas fir tree. This tree house has 500 square feet of living space with 2 outside deck areas, the common room has a 2nd spiral staircase, full kitchen, dishwasher, stove and lush padded benches to entertain which can also double as sleeping quarters.

2 living trees grow through the tree house interior and 2 living trees are through the tree house decks! The master suite loft has a queen tempur-pedic mattress leading out to the 2nd story tree house deck through a sliding glass door for the most relaxing space to enjoy a glass of wine or cup of coffee overlooking your private wooded setting.

This rental includes own private 5 acre forest with a campfire ring, walking trails and cross country ski trails for winter months.

Best of both worlds! Close to all of the fine dining and good eats that Whitefish has to offer and nearby attractions but set in a 5 acre private forest setting that feels like you are far away from it all. From the tree house you feel completely secluded in your own private wooded Montana paradise! Watch deer from the tree house deck and listen to natures symphony of birds and crickets. This is a must once in a lifetime vacation that you will never forget!

We have all of the luxury amenities, WIFI, cable TV, even your own plush bathrobe to put on and relax in nature's most beautiful serene setting. Everyone that has visited the property leaves in awe at the beauty and wonder of this work of art treehouse!

This is a great treehouse! Will share positive experience with others. Well thought out details and a great home base to go explore neighboring areas and parks. Glavier national park is a must. Avalanche trail is a picnic trip. Pack a lunch and enjoy the views at the end.

From dream to reality

I had an incredible stay in this treehouse. Loved everything about it. Each day I wanted to just stay there like nothing else was out there to do. Was the highlight of my trip. I think I enjoyed the house more than I enjoyed Glacier NP. Close to the park & other great areas. I'm still in awe at the construction & layout. Love the beautiful spiral staircase entering. Decks to sit out on and enjoy the woods. Private, safe and very relaxing. Kati was very responsive to all communication. The only thing I found missing was a box of kleenex. Loved my stay & can't wait to return someday. Thank you for sharing your dream. This should be a must do on anyone's list.

Cozy & exactly as described!

Had a wonderful stay - the home is so cute and unique. We came during the "off" season where Glacier Park was closed in a lot of areas but skiing wasn't available yet, but the house was right around so many restaurants, shops & hikes outside of the park. 10/10 recommend!

The cutest treehouse!

We loved this treehouse so much! It was so cute and cozy. We had everything we needed and more. It was beautifully decorated. Kati was very responsive and hospitable and she lived not too far away so she could come help with anything quickly, if needed. There is another really cool, modern treehouse that they also own next door. But we still felt very private in ours. The shower was great, water pressure was perfect, the water got warm quickly. Kati provided coffee and oatmeal and even had condiments and other cooking essentials if we wanted to cook at the cabin. The only minor complaint is that the bed was a tad too hard for us. We had plenty of blankets, pillows and toiletries. It snowed one of the days we were there and it just made the place so magical. We loved it and hope to be back soon! Thank you, Kati!

Magical Treehouse!

When my wife was a youngster her 2 older brothers built a treehouse and would not let her in because she was a girl! So I surprised her with this property for 3 nights and it absolutely met all our expectations! The quality of the design and craftsmanship of this treehouse was absolutely wonderous!

Bucket list experience - exceeded all expectations!

Our stay at the treehouse was absolutely fantastic. It is even better in person, which is hard to believe. The treehouse is perfectly located - you feel remote but you’re a quick 10 minute drive from anything you need. Comfortable bed, great water pressure/heat in the shower and outdoor space (patios, picnic area, etc). The towns of Whitefish and Columbia Falls are super close and fun to explore. Glacier National Park is absolutely beautiful and a gorgeous drive away. Kati and Daren were wonderful hosts. We can’t wait to come back!

Awesome Family Getaway!!!

Such an enjoyable and fun experience for our family of 4! We were amazed by the comfort and modern amenities the tree house had to offer. Staying in the tree house allowed me to fulfill a childhood dream while also giving my children memories to last a lifetime!

Had a blast!

For a small place, they have literally everything you need. I even brought stuff incase and was excited to find everything there. The location is perfect, the place is well kept and relaxing. We had our two kid’s and they loved being in the house. They hung out and relaxed in the morning, which was easy if you wanted to read or catch a movie on Netflix. We look forward to trying their other tree house when it’s done. Both are recommended! Book It:)

Perfect getaway

The treehouse is a unique, well-crafted retreat positioned in a beautiful setting. The owners thought of every detail even providing a French press for morning coffee! We both loved the many windows allowing light in and providing picturesque views from everywhere in the cabin. Kati also gave us great recommendations of places in the area to try when we were out. We really had a wonderful stay.

Awesome Experience

We loved our stay at the treehouse. It was close to a variety of activities and lots of great restaurants, breweries, etc. & fun shopping in both Whitefish and Columbia Falls. The surrounding area is beautiful.

Hello, and thanks for stopping in! We are Kati and Darin, your Montana Treehouse Retreat owners. We have dreamt about building a treehouse for quite some time. It wasn't until we purchased our 7 acre property outside of Whitefish, that our dreams started to become a reality. We are both 4th generation Montanans with a true love of Montana and what it has to offer. We enjoy spending our time outdoors in the surrounding areas boating, snowboarding, cross country skiing, gardening and trying to keep up with our 2 young sons.

We were cast to build our first treehouse of the Montana Treehouse Retreat with the talented build team, The Treehouse Guys from the DIY Network. They were on our property for approximately 6 weeks building the treehouse of our dreams in April/May of 2016.
