We stayed at Feshiebridge Cottage for a second time

Stunning peaceful location staying with family and our pet dog in Feshiebridge Cottage. The cottage is beautiful and perfect for a family of 6.Spacious and comfortable with everything you could possibly need provided.Aviemore Kingussie and the Cairngorms are very close to visit.. We loved our stay and will be visiting again..

Excellent but needs a bit of TLC

This is our third visit to Feshiebridge Cottage. We love the location and all the facilities, the games room, hot tub and especially the BBQ hut. We did find that on this occasion there were a few issues with maintenance. The showers doors ere being fixed so we did avoid using these during our stay. We also found that there was a lack of things such as placements/coasters and mug;, the mugs available were cracked and chipped. It just needs a bit of a refresh. We also found the bins overflowing, so we had to bag up the recycling and give to the cleaners at the end of our stay as it didn’t look like they had been emptied for a while. That said we absolutely love the cottage and location and have already booked for next year again. We hope that a little time is spent on the maintenance as it is such an amazing place to stay.

great holiday cottage

The house was very comfortable, clean and warm. Fire and hot tub were excellent after a day out walking. Garden was dog friendly and there were good walks from the house. Would definitely book again.

Beautiful location, the cottage needs maintenance asap.

A good stay in a beautiful location, the cottage has many lovely features and a great design. However, there are multiple maintenance issues to address - the most important of which was a loose, large paving slab at the front door step which flipped up when it was stepped on and almost caused a nasty fall. We also had a ripped fitted sheet (35cm) on the master bed which looked like an animal had done it - plus a hole in the same sheet. Faulty doors on both ovens and the dishwasher, very worn corner cushions on the hot tub, a ceiling light fitting full of insects/flies, master bedroom wardrobe door off hinges with a hoover in the wardrobe, silicone issues in bathroom (fully brown inside & out) plus the BBQ grill was dirty in the Hut as was the table. We couldn’t fully strip the master bed as the protector was tied on with a broken elastic strap- but we did discover a stained mattress underneath this. This was disappointing as the area is amazing and the cottage could be amazing if it matched the photos and description on the website- unfortunately it doesn’t. I note there are no bookings for Nov for this cottage - I would suggest getting the issues resolved whilst the opportunity presents itself as these will all only get worse with time and further use.

Beautiful cottage

Feshiebridge cottage is spacious and comfortable with a stunning ground floor open plan design. The area is very pretty and close to wonderful walking. We loved our week there and were sad to leave!

November holiday

Stayed in Feshiebridge in Nov, what an amazing cottage, so spacious. The cottage was well maintained and equipped. I particularly enjoyed the outside area with hot tub and bbq hut also enjoyed watching the wildlifeand surrounding location

Great place to stay, lovely location very well equipped with some top of the range appliances. Nice open plan kitchen dinner and living room, plenty of space for all to chill out. Rooms comfortable all with on-sweet bathrooms. Would definitely recommend

October Break

Beautiful cottage in a very tranquil location. We had a great stay in the cottage, everything that you could need and more. We spent most of our evenings enjoying the pool table and the darts board. The weather was very kind which always makes the holiday even better.

Family holiday.

We enjoyed our family holiday in this lovely cottage. There were six of us and we had plenty of room and lots of storage for everyone. We used the hot tub and barbecue hut many times. It’s in a great location for exploring the surrounding area and lovely walks on the doorstep. There were a couple of issues such as lots of the mugs in the kitchen could do with being replaced as they were cracked/chipped.The driveway up to the cottage needs attention as it is very uneven and awkward. It wasn’t clear from the arrival email as to which door the key would open.

Christmas at Feshiebridge

We had a lovely stay at Feshiebridge Cottage for Christmas 2025. The house is spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The location is excellent, with options for walks right out of the door. The driveway is a wee bit challenging in icy conditions and quite neat for two cars, but we got used to it. Overall I would recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in the Cairngorms.

Review

A lovely house in a fantastic location however on arrival we had a couple of issues which I raised in email. The main bathroom was not clean , there was thick green and black mould on the shower plastic rim, around the fixings and all of the shower hoses , these were clearly not being cleaned properly, I cleaned these extensively myself , as we had our two very young grand children with us , one of whom suffers with allergies the mould was a serious concern. The dishwasher door has no spring anymore and could cause injury to a child . There was a dried blood stain on one of the single duvet covers . Hooks were hanging off the wall in the twin room and double room en-suites. Although it is a question of personal taste the living rooms could be better lit as they are very dark . These issues did not spoil our enjoyment of a very good week in feshiebridge. The hot tub was excellent and this was cleaned and serviced whilst we were there . The bbq hut was fantastic , a really cosy and fun space . We used the games room but would have done so more had the lights above the snooker table and dart board been working . Overall we had a fabulous week but think the above issues need addressing.

Feshiebridge Cottage - needs improvement

We have stayed with Great North Lodges previously and always find the properties as described and in good locations. Usually we have been impressed with the standard of accommodation but were disappointed on this occasion. Two of the bathrooms in the house were not clean and had fallen into disrepair. The bathroom in the twin room was unsafe and the shower door fell off the runner. Additionally the kitchen ovens were dirty. The hot tub is showing its age. GNL response to an email however was quick and we had a property management agent come out and clean that afternoon. The property had clearly not suddenly deteriorated and the maintenance needed has been poor. The owner is clearly more concerned with income and not interested in maintaining quality. Hope this review changes that for future bookings. The location has always been on my hit list and booking way ahead was needed. I would recommend still but watch out for further reviews to see if maintenance has been done.

Feshiebridge holiday

House is in ideal quiet location for us as close to Aviemore, Loch Insch and the Cairngorms all of which we like to visit. Also some great walks,running and cycling routes all from our doorstep. This was our second visit and am sure we will continue to visit in future.

Beautiful Home from Home

What a lovely house in a beautiful place. Fantastic location, especially for the dogs. Different walks from the door every day. The house provided everything we needed and was clean and comfortable. We will definitely be back The ground source heating meant that it wasn’t the warmest and therefore we could have done with more than a starter pack of logs. But, we were out most of the time anyway so not a big problem. Also the gates could do with fixing as they won’t close properly which could be a problem if a dog got out onto the road.

Family holiday

This was by far the nicest holiday cottage we have ever stayed in. It’s roomy and well laid out. Its location is great with trails to walk and cycle from the door. The river is great for a dip and it’s not far from Abiemore for shops. The hot tub was lovely after a day of activity. We will be going again.

Lovely cottage in an amazing location

Loved the wee Welcome Pack - nice thought. The information beforehand was spot on. The cottage was amazing and ideal for us going out on walks. The kitchen had everything you'd need, and the hot tub and indoor bbq were a great bonus. We will be back!

Brady Family Holiday

Feshiebridge Cottage is a fabulous property that has everything that you need. The cottage was of a high standard accommodation, comfortable furniture/beds etc., great appliances and was perfectly clean. Location was lovely right next the Feshbridge itself with walks directly from your doorstep. We thoroughly enjoyed our family holiday at Feshibridge Cottage and would definately consider returning.
