Renovated as of March 2021!
New kitchen cabinets, countertop, interior painted, hardwood floors refinished, and a new bathroom vanity and commode.
Guests are sure to enjoy a memorable vacation in this fully furnished, 1 bedroom/1 bath 900 foot square cottage. The master bedroom has a queen sized bed and an additional trundle bed, located in the main room, which comfortably sleeps 2 people.
Brand new mattresses added June 15th, 2020!
The main room has a living space as well as an adjoining kitchen and dining area. Conveniently located between Highlands and Cashiers North Carolina, guests can enjoy the amenities of both towns as well as nearby hiking at Whiteside Mountain and Glenville lake.

Great property! We loved it! Cottage was clean and roomy, and location between Highlands and Cashiers made access to both very easy. Plenty of waterfalls and hiking trails within an easy drive. Would stay there again for sure.

Nice, clean cottage with well stocked kitchen and plenty of space in a secluded area of woods. Quick access to downtown Highlands, hiking, restaurants. Host offered a great list of recommended hikes and restaurants. I highly recommend blue bike Cafe for breakfast. My only honest complaint of the unit is the air seemed a little stale/musty. We aired out the room and had to buy a candle. Couple things to note:The wifi is a but spotty, even for the TV. It didn't cause us any trouble since we weren't using it much but I could imagine it being frustrating for someone trying to work.The driveway is steep and narrow. Had no issues with a Ram 1500 but a low sitting car may bottom out. There is (at least that I could figure) no A/C. Which the listing g also does not mention any so that is my fault. It was cool enough at night to open the windows and everything cooled out quickly.

My husband and I enjoyed out time at this property while we visited the Highlands/Cashiers area. It was in a great location, just 10-15 minutes from each town. It also had great access to hikes and destinations in the area.

The perfect Mountain Cottage!

I highly recommend this property- beautiful cottage, perfect location, quiet, excellent communication with property manager, and lots to do nearby- especially outdoors. Would stay here again whenever in the area!

Location was perfect for us.

The cottage was close to hiking and Highlands, NC. Annemarie was very helpful with information about restaurants and activities. Check in/out was easy.

Perfect place for a getaway

The cottage was perfect and very well appointed. Location was ideal in between Cashiers and Highlands, with Whiteside close by too for a short hike with great views. Looking forward to staying here again.

Great Rental Property

The guest house was a perfect space for a weekend in Highlands/Cashiers. The location is ideal if you plan on visiting both towns. The property was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay.

This house is well equipped and has everything a traveler would need. Beautiful, wooded property.

Very comfortable bed, and incredible mountain views. The Rhododendron was in full bloom all over the mountains when we were there. Will definitely return in the future.

Couple’s Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at this inviting cottage. Close to Cashiers and Highland. As a couple it was all we needed for a getaway. The host was very communicative and accommodating.

This is a very charming cottage conveniently located between Cashiers and Highlands. It had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. It was very clean and comfortable. I would stay here again. I couldn’t submit this review without rating the Sking which we would never do and there was no snow in Oct. VRBO should fix this.

Excellent location and great bungalow for two

My husband and I stayed here several days after staying in the larger property next door with our children and another couple...Great bungalow, Annemarie has supplied everything you need for your stay. Excellent location!!!

When looking for a property to purchase, I couldn't make a decision between Highlands and Cashiers. I loved the activities and people in both towns! So, my only solution was to buy in the middle of both. :)

You can enjoy the restaurants of Cashiers one night and Highlands the next. Both towns have outdoor events on the weekends during the summer.
