Unique watch tower nestled in the forest overlooking Mill Creek falls on lake Glenville. Like staying in a tree fort with modern luxuries, Relax to the subtle sounds of distant waterfall and gentle breezes that flow through this open air cabin. Perhaps you will be visited by the elusive Blue Ghost Firefly's inhabiting this region.

Summer Finale Deep summer green shade gives way to vibrant red and gold. This season the Tower house becomes enveloped with color and cooler air descends while the Blue Ghost fire fly's diminish the nocturnal katydids and crickets sing farewell.

Enjoyable weekend on the lake

The house was beautiful and cozy with a lovely view of the lake and waterfall, with plenty of trees to give some privacy. The host was very helpful and make the check in and out processes as easy as possible. My husband and I enjoyed a fantastic weekend of swimming, kayaking, and fishing and would stay at this house again in the future!

Beautiful mountain stay

We stayed three nights. It was more awesome in person than you can tell in pictures. Dean was very informative and did everything he could to make our stay enjoyable. We will be going back.

Waterfall views

Beautiful area and amazing view of the lake and waterfall. Dean was very accommodating and fast to respond to questions. We look forward to going back.

Nice quiet getaway

I went to visit my niece and get her checked in college. I made a little vacation out of it. I picked this place that was peaceful and out of the way. Dean was very helpful getting me checked in and making sure I had everything I needed. The place was nice and had good amenities. I only recommend doing your shopping and buying your food before arriving. The drive down the mountain can take time.

Very pleasant mountain retreat!

A great place for a restful getaway! Dean is a great host- responsive, respectful and helpful. Situated on a mountainside overlooking lake. Located nearby Cashiers and Highlands for great meals and shopping. Highly recommend.

Excellent location peaceful

Weekend Getaway

Beautiful hand built cabin with views of waterfall and Lake Glenville from expansive deck. Dean was a great host and even met us at the cabin to answer any questions and show us around. The cabin sits high on the mountain side so you do need an all wheel drive vehicle or truck to get up to top of drive, which was not a problem for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I designed and built this place in 2008 as a year round vacation house for all seasons. It's small in foot print yet mighty in substance. We carved into the side of an ancient 3,500 ft. mountain with little environmental impact. I'm an advocate for the preservation of worlds special places and hope to share my house as an example of how to build sustainably and one with the Land.
