This 5 bedroom home was built in 2000, and has caretaker in a portion of the barn. The inside is clean, spacious, and comfortable. The kitchen is very big with a bar area that seats 4 comfortably and a large custom kitchen table that seats 10.

There are acres of property to roam on. 6 acres of land is across the street from the home alongside the pond . There is vegetation (trees and blueberry bushes) right up to the waters edge, with a nice dock area. You must cross the street to get to the dock area. Behind the house, there are some rugged trails and logging roads to roam around on. The logging roads were last used during the 2015 winter, so there should be some fairly open snowshoeing right on the property. The White Mountain National Forest is just to the south accessible near Pattee Brook Marsh and the Albany Notch Trail.

We had a great stay. ACs kept the rooms very cold and it was clean and bigger than the pictures make it look. Host was responsive and easy to work with.

The house was great and owner very responsive when we had a couple of questions. The pond is excellent but for our kids, we had to use water shoes as it’s a bit leafy on the bottom. The hot tub was cleaned and tested and tended to every morning.The home was excellent and we loved our stay.

This was a beautiful home, stock full of everything you need on your vacation. The outdoor area was very nice to sit, have a fire and relax in the hot tub. The only problem we had was the house was full of flying ants and carpenter ants.

We loved our stay at Jim‘s Ski house. It was a very cold weekend in January, but the house was nice and warm. Plus we thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub. My girlfriend said it had a very homey feel :-)

We had a wonderful experience staying here for a ski weekend. Hot tub was a nice end to the day. The house was clean, spacious and kitchen was well stocked for any meal prep. We are hoping to come back next season! Great place!

Jim’s place was clean with very comfortable beds and everything we needed in a home base while visiting Bethel with our kids and dogs. The house is a short drive from many activities in and around Bethel. Songo Pond is across the road from the house with a great dock where we relaxed while the kids swam, kayaked and canoed. We also enjoyed the hot tub, grill and fire pit. Things to consider: The house is on a main road, without too much traffic but cars go fast so you’d have to be careful with wandering toddlers out front. There are two large dogs on the neighboring property whose owners demanded our dogs be leashed at all times. Jim advised us of this before we arrived and it wasn’t a problem. There is a dog zip line at the back of the house.All in all we had a fantastic time and Jim was a great host who was immediately responsive with any communication.

Plenty of room with bedrooms as advertised. Huge dining table able to fit our big group. Two fridges and nice appliances. Lots of parking out front. Responsive with maintenance. Had a hot water issue when we first arrived, but owner took care of it right away. Someone came and cleaned the hot tub and the front walk in the middle of our stay. The building has two units, with this rental being everything to the right side of the entrance door in the middle.

Jim was a great host and very friendly. From the beginning he communicated well and ensured we got in the house. The house was great with no issues and had everything we needed to cook breakfast and dinner. When we did need something Jim was only a call away and was very prompt to our needs. The house location was great. Very spacious and beds were great. Quick drive to Sunday River. The hot tub was a plus, especially after days on the mountain. I would rent this house again!

We were a big group (9 adults, 6 children) and the house was just right for our long weekend trip!Everything was super clean - clean sheets, clean towels (and lots of them). Many comfy places to sit in the living room. Huge dining table that fit everyone. Air conditioners all work beautifully. TV is tricky but once you get to the DirectTV it works fine. We had (almost) everything we needed kitchenwise. I'd suggest bringing condiments, oils, etc. if you plan to cook - the fridges were immaculately clean and totally empty, so we ran out to grab a few things, but there is a nice market not too far away. We were short a handful of forks but there were plastic forks in the cabinet. Dishwasher works well.A nice outdoor area with lots of chairs, a fire pit, and a hot tub the kids quickly became obsessed with. Easy to adjust it to the right temperature so they could happily and safely soak in it. Fire pit was easy to use (bring your own wood, but not from out of state). There is a big dumpster and we used a bin for recyclables. The pond wasn't super swimmable - lots of muck underfoot. Next time we will rent kayaks or paddleboards to get out a bit further and swim. Kids loved playing in the sandy area on the side of the dock, though! All we had to do was throw the towels in the washer before we left. No other cleaning required, which was lovely.Overall a great stay for all of us, and we hope to return. Thanks, Jim!

This house was great for our family of 7 adults, 2 Children & Dog, with plenty of extra space. Kitchen was very spacious, table sat all of us with ample room. They have a big fire pit & Hot Tub that we used every night & a large dock that we fished off. (Fishing was great)! Would def rent again!

Stayed here for a long weekend at Sunday River. House was great, close to everything, bedrooms are larger than photos make it seem, tons of room for all of us and our ski gear. Great communication as well. Would def come back!

This was a great find at Sunday River to enjoy a ski weekend with friends. All the basics and then some are provided and the short drive to Sunday River was a big plus. Excellent host, friendly and responsive.

A Great Maine Getaway

We booked this property to have a getaway weekend with friends. There was plenty of beds and space! Everything inside was clean and comfortable. Jim was great at answering any questions that came up.Finally we wanted a place on the water, all we had to do was walk across the street!Would absolutely book again!

Amazing place

Had a bachelor party for my friend and 10 others and this property was perfect. Clean, well stocked, and a 15 second walk from a great spot on the pond. The hot tub was always in top shape and was great for relaxing after a day in the pond. Would stay again if I’m ever in the area.

Ski weekend

This place was great for our big ski group. There were plenty of beds for our whole crew and great hang out areas in the kitchen and living room. The hot tub was perfect after a long day on the slopes. Will definitely come back again next year!

Awesome Spot for Big Group

We had a bachelor party and the location and house could not have been more perfect. Plenty of beds (slept 13 guys very comfortably), the pond was right across the street and there was plenty of room to grill and hang out outside. Couldn’t recommend this place anymore!

I bought this abandoned summer farmhouse in 1995 because of my love for skiing, and my desire to have both a ski house, and a lake house. No doubt, I had no idea what a labor of love I was getting into! Ask me about the day I tried to jack up the old farmhouse in order to pour a foundation underneath it... I'll fill you in on how this house, built in the year 2000, came into being!
