York Beach Walk to Short Sands and York's Wild Kingdom

Great cottage on a quiet dead end road, located between Short Sands and the Nubble Light. Five minute walk to Short Sands one way and Dunn's ice cream the other! First floor has living room, dining room, sun room, kitchen, bathroom with shower sink and toilet. Laundry room with full size washer and dryer. There is a small porch off the back and a patio with table & chairs, Weber gas grill and gas firepit. Upstairs has two bedrooms.

Large private yard, most of it on the side of the cottage; with enough room for a family cookout and parking for 3 cars.

There's a gas heater on the main level for those chilly off season nights.

The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, etc. We provide blankets and pillows but you **MUST BRING YOUR OWN BED LINENS AND BATH TOWELS**

York's Wild Kingdom: Within walking distance is York's Wild Kingdom and amusement park.

This is our second time staying at this property and we absolutely love it. Easy walk to Short Sands, house is equipped with everything you need, clean and cozy! We will be back again!

Upon arrival we found the property clean and spacious. The kitchen appliances were all well-maintained and functional, the bathroom was clean, and the instructions and extra keys were right where the host said they would be located.

This is a great location for us for our summer vacation, as I have family in the immediate area. It gives us lots of space and privacy, rather than staying with family, so it DOES feel like a true vacation. It's an easy walk to Short Sands and into town for beaching, shopping, eating, etc. Everything we needed except bedding and bath towels was available, there was a start-up supply of paper goods and dish soap, and there are chain grocery stores in York and also Portsmouth which makes getting more 'stuff' easy, if you don't want to pack and schlep everything with you. The only thing I struggle with is that the fees are a bit high, but I realize that not all of this is under the control of the owner.

This was our second time staying here. We truly enjoyed our stay. The location couldn’t be much better and the owners were easy to work with. We’d definitely enjoy staying here again next year if available.

Great place to stay !!

Great place to stay with kids, dead end street with very little traffic, large lawn to play, outside shower to rinse the beach sand off, nightlights in all rooms just to name a few.

Nice clean cottage with all the amenities, and then some! Safe, quiet neighborhood, easy access to Short and Long Sands beaches. Only wish we could've stayed longer!

The property was well-stocked and in a nice, quiet neighborhood that was close to town and the Nubble. We enjoyed the yard and back patio and porches! Quaint, but had everything we needed!

Love this cottage!

We’ve stayed in York Beach area before but this cottage was perfect for hanging out with family, either in the main living area, the porch or the lovely back patio. The ground were beautiful. We would definitely stay here again.

Cottage in york

This was a great cottage, plenty of space and a large yard to play. Short walk to short sands beach, less than 10 minutes. Will definitely stay here again!

We had a great time, plenty of room for family and socializing. Enjoyed seeing the vintage family photos. Perfect location, much to see and do. Would not hesitate to book again.

Great Location, Spotless Cottage, Excellent Hosts

We spent a few weeks at the cottage and it was absolutely perfect. The location, the home itself, and the outdoor space all exceeded our expectations. Being within walking distance to both Short Sands and Long Sands made it easy to get around, whether we had the car or not. Communication with the owners was smooth and responsive, and the cottage was spotless upon arrival. We truly enjoyed our stay and are already planning to come back next year!

Very nice place

Plenty of parking. Very nice place bigger than I expected. The neighbor Marge was very helpful with the recycling and fun to talk to.

Really liked your place. Easy walk to the beach and lighthouse. Great quiet neighborhood and the house had great places to hang out. The yard was very well kept. Thanks and we plan on coming back !

Beautiful Area

The area was beautiful and house was perfect for what we needed it for. Didn’t get to enjoy the area as much as we wanted since we were part of a softball tournament. But the over house is very nice and area is just beautiful!
