Thank you. We brought with us last december the hot pads. Keurig works but will also provide this year the traditional coffee maker. Thanks for your suggestions.

We did not bomb our home prior to your arrival. Are you sure you're reviewing my home ? Because few days prior to the check-in date we went there to check and we did not see dead bugs inside the house. Outside the house may have bugs especially mosquitos at night because the home is a lakefront and very near to the lake. Eagle Mountain Lake is very large and consists of several acreages of water area and supports a robust wildlife system. We practice normal insect and pest control mitigation. In fact, the guest that arrives immediately after your departure (back t back booking) stayed 4 nights (Aug 1-5), double the length of your stay, and just left me a very good review at Airbnb saying it is very clean inside the house and how much they enjoyed their stay and the memories. I wished you mentioned this during your stay so we can see the situation ourselves and fix it.

I’m sorry to hear that other aspects of your stay didn’t meet your expectations. We always aim to provide a comfortable and welcoming experience, and I truly appreciate your detailed observations—they help us improve. The area of boat house with the boat lift is not included in the guest’s rental. We are addressing any safety issues and we strive to keep the deck surfaces and furniture clean and well-maintained, though weather and storms occasionally delay those efforts. Regarding the house rules and guest limits, they’re in place to ensure the comfort, privacy, and security of all guests and neighbors—particularly during busy holiday weekends. We had prior bookings where guests caused serious damage to our property. Since then, we have become strict with not allowing more than the maximum guests stated in VRBO listing. I understand this may have caused some inconvenience, and I appreciate your understanding. As a lakefront home surrounded by nature, some exposure to wildlife is inevitable. Thanks for your feedback. Sorry about not having opened condiments/seasoning. Every guests have different way of cooking and spices and some does not feel comfortable using opened bottle condiments/seasonings. We also do not provide disposable plates/cups but we will consider providing place settings that are more children friendly. I'm a little confused because we normally check a day before (or sometimes the day of) a guests arrival to ensure there's enough toilet paper, paper towel, bath towels etc. and my husband saw there's (not 1 but) 2 kitchen dishtowels, and also there's hand towels, washcloths, bath towels enough for the number of guests booked. He also saw enough dishwasher, washer detergent and fabric softener for the number of nights booked.

It seems that the guest forgot that she emailed me after their departure saying they really enjoyed their stay in my home. It is very clear the guest's review is purely a result of the door damage that I brought up. The long dock which has metal rod columns was newly replaced 8 years ago. The grandfathered boat house has thick metal beams and most joists were rebuilt this year. Several past guest reviews stated that pictures in the listing reflect the house. My cleaner sent me a picture of the door having dog scratches and dirt (we do not allow pets). My husband confirmed the picture. My first reaction was to go to guests about this. But I immediately realized that I do not have proof (whether there was a dog or not) and I apologized to the guest and did not charge any damages.
