Our adorable vacation home is located in the High Chalet Condo Community in Gatlinburg - the highest elevation in the Smokies area - and offers breathtaking views of the Smoky Mountains including Mt LeConte.

Sleep above the clouds surrounded by the spectacular Great Smoky Mountains. Only 3 minutes to Ober Gatlinburg (Amusement Park and Ski Area) and 12 mins to downtown Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. Our cozy 1 bedroom 1 bath hideaway sleeps up to 4 and has everything you will need for a relaxing escape. With warm and comfortable furnishings, electric fireplace, full kitchen, and a beautiful balcony - you may just want to snuggle up & never leave the condo.

Our community features 2 hot tubs, sauna and a seasonal pool which is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. We also have on-site coin laundry & community game room.

Don't be surprised at all of the wildlife you will see in our community. Bear, deer, rabbits and wild turkey sightings are the norm here. Ample parking, gorgeous views and so much more will make you happy that you chose the Cozy Bear at High Chalet for your escape!

Great stay

We were looking for a nice place to stay while skiing, and this location was e everything that we were looking for! A cozy place to crash, as well as nice amenities and very close to Ober. Great place!

Greatest Stay in Gatlinburg

The condo is really nice and cozy. I love the the view in the mountain, nice pool and hot tubs. The owner is really awesomely understandable, and made us feel welcome.

A mountain stay

A clean, beautifully decorated one-bedroom apartment. It is perfect for a vacation for a couple, though driving to and from Gatlinburg requires navigating narrow mountain roads.

The paved mountain roads are safely maintained by the City of Gatlinburg and can have smaller shoulders in places which make the roads seem narrower.

I'm an Army Brat born in Fort Hood, Texas with European roots and speak fluent English, French and German. We moved to Florida to escape the harsh Canadian winters but are finding the extreme summer heat unbearable.

In early 2016 we took a self-planned vacation to High Chalet - this exact complex - and we fell in love with the area. We can't retire yet - but we plan to settle down in the Great Smoky Mountains soon - and this is our first step into paradise. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.

This hideaway in the mountains is very special - surrounded by majestic mountains and fluffy clouds - wildlife all around. You can hike right from your front door or just to the nearby picnic tables and enjoy the fresh air and nature at its best.
