Very Pleasant and Safe

I was traveling alone on this stay and needed a one night solution before meeting up with a friend for a short road trip. Nancy’s Casita was ideal. I felt perfectly safe and enjoyed a quiet evening reading a book. The unit was clean and well appointed, and the bed was very comfortable. I would book a return visit if ever staying in Vista again.

Host has created a magical place to stay. Everything imaginable was provided for by the host to insure a great stay.

Special Birthday

Everything that you could ever need or think of it was there. Nancy was a very lovely host who made the absolute most amazing banana nut bread! (The recipe is there too which is a plus). Even though it was just a one night stay my boyfriend and I made the most out of it and we had such a good time! We swung on the bench outside at night and enjoyed the quiet and peacefulness. La Casita is definitely going to be a place I’m excited to go back to to explore more of the city! Nancy and Jim have some AMAZING food recommendations as we went to Swami’s for breakfast and it was phenomenal! Overall amazing trip and that wouldn’t have happened without it feeling so much like home!

Wonderful stay!

We came to visit the area for our anniversary and just wanted a quiet home base to explore the area from. Nancy was warm and kind and made us feel right at home when we arrived. The studio had everything we needed and you can tell that there’s a lot of love and care spent to make your stay comfortable and pleasant. We had a great time exploring the beaches, desert and mountains and Vista is such a cute town that we really never felt the need to go into San Diego. I was all very relaxing and we enjoyed our stay. We can’t recommend Casota high enough!

beautiful little place

My husband and I loved staying in the Casita! It was quiet and very comfortable! So welcoming after a day out and about! We would definitely choose to stay there again.

Cozy

Nice outside area to relax; in a nice neighborhood. Casita is smallish but has everything you need. Good value. Nancy is VERY nice, responsive, accommodating.

Perfect Getaway Location

This was out fourth time staying at the Chapman's Casita and as usual, the stay was perfect. Nancy and Jim are awesome hosts who make their home feel like yours. The backyard is an oasis, and the location is perfect whether you are going to the beach, the mountains, or the desert. Highly recommended.

Relaxation Time

We travelled to Oceanside to attend a large wedding, with other venues over the four day period. Coming back each day to the peace and quiet of the Casita gave us a wonderful balance of acitivies and relaxation. I am so happy that we choose the Casita, away from all the hustle and bustle. The .privacy and lovely garden to ourselves was wonderful. Nancy was available if we needed anything, but otherwise gave us our space. We did have a few chats with her and she is a delightful hostess. The Casita is so well equipped and we enjoyed all the conveniences and extra touches and had everthing there that we needed. A wonderful stay and we would not hesitate for a return visit!

We arrived and unit was as advertised. Got back very late. Looking forward to sleeping in. Woken up at 8am on a Sunday to chainsaws literally outside our window.Palm trees were being trimmed less than 10 feet from us. Could not sit outside. The air was full of pollen and unhappy disrupted bugs!! Our car was covered in debris and we had to ask gardeners to move debris and vehicles in order for us to leave. We booked the room several months in advance. Had we known that we would be forced to get up and unable to go outside, we would have made other arrangements.

Nancy and Jim were very nice and welcoming! Nancy even had some homemade banana bread waiting for us upon arrival. 5 stars all the way around. Great place and great people made for a perfect stay.

Beautiful, blissful, and cozy property. You won’t find another one like it. Nancy was the absolute sweetest. If you’re lucky enough to try her chocolate chip banana bread you’ll understand the love and care she puts into being such a gracious host. Thank you again!

Great place!

If available, I will be staying again! Your own off street parking, private entrance and courtyard. The space is very well utilized and has all the things you'd need for a stay. In a nice neighborhood and close to shops, dining, beaches of Oceanside and Carlsbad

Lucky to have found the Casita!

We visited family in Ca and the Casita was only 10 minutes away. Nancy is an excellent host and very sweet. I was able to talk with her when we arrived. We had everything we could possibly need fully stocked at the Casita. Close to everything we wanted to see and do. In a nice, quite neighborhood with off street parking. Her backyard is beautiful, so peaceful and quite. Will definitely be staying there again when we go back. Thanks so much Nancy for everything!

Extremely cute! Comfy bed! Good Coffee, micro, fans, stand up A/C unit! Peaceful backyard with fountain! I will stay here again! Nancy was there to make sure we had absolutely everything we needed!

Built our home, and we raised our two children here,
now both married with children of their own. Still local, we
get to enjoy seeing our 6 grandchildren grow which is
a true blessing to us.
Our Casita was born in 2012 (having a builder for a husband is great) :-) thus fulfilling my dream to
have a sweet little place for friends and family to enjoy; giving all who visit a place to rest, recharge
and discover new and interesting places to see and experience.

We built on this property because of the central location to anything and everything you may ever need, but, far enough away to have peace and quiet. Having an ocean view and beautiful sunsets is a wonderful added bonus!

Our Casita is located 3 minutes from the 78 Hwy so getting around is incredibly easy. Once here you will be surrounded by our gardens with lovely mosaic tile work, that I have enjoyed creating through the years, and beautiful running fountain to add to the peacefulness and enjoyment of visiting birds, butterflies and dragonflies too.
