Come relax in our charming 1904 apartment in Demorest directly across from Piedmont University. Spend the day in the North GA mountains & stay warm & cozy at night. Wake to coffee of your choice & homemade muffins. You'll love being so close to waterfall hikes, local wineries, Tallulah Falls and The Gorge, Appalachian Trail, Piedmont College, Alpine Helen, zip-lining, etc.

This is a 1 bedroom apartment with the warmth of a historic property that has been completely modernized and beautifully decorated. This apartment is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and furbabies. Anyone wanting a comfy rest at the end of a day of activities.
With a full subway-tiled kitchen you can cook fresh eggs in the morning from my chickens, enjoy your choice of coffee from the keurig, and butter a fresh baked treat left for each guest. Or have a wonderful weekend brunch at Sweetbreads just across the street from the house.
Cable Tv via YouTubeTV, as well and Prime, Netflix and internet. Super comfy bed ( with excellent quality sheets as any Southern lady would fix a bed) . Classic black and white tiled bathroom and everything steam cleaned in between each guest. This place is great for Piedmont parents, day-hikers, or contractors working in the area.

This is one of two completely separate apartments in this house, so consider the 2 bedroom apartment if you're traveling with extended family and need a separate space at the same location. Perfect for visiting your Piedmont student with the grandparents along as well.

Above and beyond!

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights. I can’t say enough about this place!! We have stayed in many VRBO’s and this is way way at the top!! So so clean, charmingly decorated and so well thought out!! Everything you could think you might need was there! Many great extras like farm fresh eggs, fresh muffins, many condiments, coffee, tea, spices, even dog treats!! We LOVED it and will be back!!

This hostess truly has a knack for making you feel at home. The apartment is spot on in design and comfort. The extra touches from the home made breakfast casserole to the dog treats and bed makes this place extra special. The location is perfect to explore quaint little towns in north Georgia. We will definitely be back and send our friends. By far the best vrbo we have stayed at!

Weekend getaway

My husband and I got away for a long weekend. We were looking for somewhere quiet to relax. This was the perfect place. It’s as beautiful as the pictures with an amazing host as well. We arrived to bagels, muffins, and a breakfast casserole in the freezer. She provided eggs from her chickens and coffee with all of the fixings. This was by far one of our favorite places to stay. We’ll be back yearly for a long weekend.

Lovely stay in Demorest

I loved our stay in this house. It was extremely clean and well decorated. It is very unique and full of charm. At the same time, it's very well appointed with everything you may need. We were very comfortable. I have also never had a host spoil their guests so much- fresh muffins, fresh eggs, and even a breakfast casserole! I'll stay again in a heartbeat!

Weekend getaway

Loved it!!! It was perfect. 2 night stay brought dog with us. Explored the town and enjoyed some great food. We will 100% return. Host was wonderful. The little personal touches made our weekend.

Holiday getaway

We cannot wait to come back in the summer. So much to do within a 30 mile radius. We went hiking, visited wineries, antique mall wondering, and ate delicious food. Carmen was a wonderful host and her place is just amazing and just what we needed!

This owner cares about her guests!

Owner is very responsive; place is clean, comfortable, and stocked with everything you could need; and we didn’t even have to buy breakfast out for the two days we were there as we found a breakfast casserole, muffins, bagels, fruit, yogurt and fresh eggs waiting for us (now how many VRBO owners do that?!) We had a great stay…the purpose being a visit to Helen, Georgia. Would highly recommend staying here!

Great Weekend

Great place to spend a weekend or a week. The place was super clean, and catered to our every need. The restaurants near by had excellent food and service. If in the area would definitely recommend staying here.

Couldn’t have been better

It’s not often that you find a true bed and breakfast experience, but this place was very special! Not only were there fresh eggs in the refrigerator, but there were breakfast casseroles in the freezer, yogurt in the fridge, bagels, cream cheese, and the best blueberry coffee cake I’ve ever had. The kitchen was also stocked with coffee, creamer and sugar. There was everything we could possibly want including bath salts in the bathroom and a fire pit with logs outside. If you’re traveling with a dog, I noticed there were pet bowls and even shampoo and conditioner for your dog!. It was a very comfortable stay and we got some much needed rest in the super comfy bed. The neighborhood is very quiet , but you’re within walking distance to some very good restaurants and even a coffee shop.

Best ever

Not enough space for all the accolades this property deserves. Best VRBO, B&B I’ve ever stayed in. I was traveling alone for work; felt so safe and completely at home. Love Demorest and surrounding towns. Great part of the world-especially if you like waterfalls! Hope to return!!!!

Best place ever!

Super clean, affordable, relaxing and then some! Carmen is a world class host! Lot of goodies, and everything you could ever need is stocked there! The apartment is adorable and the grounds incredible! The best rental we have ever had! Carmen has raised the standard for hosts! A super relaxing week and looking forward to our next visit! Great Stay

Wonderful place to stay. The home was clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The host went to great lengths to keep the original feel and look of the home, circa 1904. Would highly recommend if you're looking for a great place to unwind.

Comfy and Cozy

This was my second time staying with this host. I've stayed in their upstairs apt and this trip, their downstairs apt. Both are comfy, cozy, cute, and stocked with the yummiest treats. I hope this will not be my last stay at one of these adorable apt's.

Love this place!

Tomlinson House was the perfect place for our short stay in Demorest. It was just a short walk to Piedmont University to watch our great nephew play baseball. So many goodies left for us by the host! We would definitely stay again.

Great property convenient to so much

Truly a home away from home…such a comfortable place to stay. Shopping is convenient and also so easy to get to many great places to hike. Carmen adds the cherry on top with her thoughtful touches that are delights.

Tomlin House

Property even better than described, exceptionally clean and comfortable. Lots of wonderful "extras" were so appreciated- eggs, coffee cake, bagels, etc!! By far the best VRBO we have ever stayed in!! Will definately be back. We were in a long pickup so the parking was a bit tight but we managed by pulling in at an angle with still room for second vehicle. Very quiet also. Visited the coffee shop and gallery-both very nice!!

I live just up the street in a 1908 house that I'm currently working on. So I'm just a phone call away if you were to need anything. This is my first home/first restoration, a 1904 house. I bought this house and worked on it while attending Piedmont College. I fell in love with the cute little town of Demorest.

Gorgeous, charming small town in the middle of North GA hiking and attractions. Get away is an extremely clean space (all surfaces meticulously cleaned and steamed between guests).

Sweetbreads restaurant is right out the front door. If you choose not to cook, it's so nice at the end of the day to have a great meal with a glass of wine and walk home to the porch.
Temperance House Coffee on the corner for great coffee, breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon treat.
