The property is clean, comfortable, and right on the lake, which is exactly what we were looking for. The included kayaks and fishing gear really elevated our stay. The hosts were friendly and easy to work with: they reached out before, during, and after to make sure we had everything we needed. If you are looking for a place that feels like a family cabin on the water, this is a great stay.

Excellent place to relax

Love that you can relax and fish right off the dock. The use of paddle boards and kayaks makes daily exercise fun!

We loved the house and the dock in our backyard. No need to rent paddle boards or kayaks. All the fun was supplied and enjoyed!

Super pleasant stay on Lake Austin. The house, although dated, which the owner makes very clear, is clean and well maintained and has tons of amenities. I loved how clean the pots and pans were and tons of dishes, utensils and even an instapot!WOW - the views and all the spots to just relax with views of the lake are amazing! We had a great time - Just too short! The hosts are amazing - super accommodating and responsive!Great stay - look forward to doing it again!

Everything was exactly as advertised in the listing. Wish we had caught some fish but otherwise a perfect retreat.

Great location and amenities

The property is as described, and the location and amenities are great. Reminded us a lot of our own family lake cabin. Not too fancy, but great to escape. We had an enjoyable family time and especially loved the kayaks. Excellent communication! Would recommend.

Beautiful relaxing and fun!

We had a great time celebrating our daughters 22nd birthday at this property. The layout is great with many areas to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The house has everything you need and the owners were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely recommend this lake house to our family and friends!

Beautiful views lake house on the water

Nice place with good character. Wonderful views of the water. Easy access to the lake/deck. Peaceful evenings with quiet sleep. Good for a nice getaway from work

Rio Robles a master of relaxation lakeside

Bohemian comfort, this is a special home for families and friends. To be lakeside with water frontage is a rare position to find at such a reasonable rate, we loved our weekend and highly recommend, Sharon and John are a pleasure in all communication, highly recommended.

Great Weekend Getaway

This house was spacious and comfortable with great views of the river. We had fun hanging out on the deck, kayaking, and fishing on the river. It didnt even feel like we were so close to the hustle and bustle of the city. The hosts were prompt with their communication.

This home is charming, and the location couldn't be better. In fact, having to leave to hit the town was our least favorite thing to do because we enjoyed the home and waterfront so much. Also, great Bass fishing!

Fathers Day Weekend

Property owner was easy to communicate with! Everything was described accurately on VRBO. The family enjoyed steaks on the grill, using the kayaks and tubes that were available on property! Hours were spent floating in the water right in front of the dock. Definitely an enjoyable stay!!

Awesome staycation. My boys really enjoyed kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing from dock and from kayak. One of my boys caught his personal best bass at 2lbs 10oz from the smaller kayak slightly upstream. The dock/deck is also a great place to hang out enjoying the breeze and watching lake activities. Sharon was very kind and helpful. Will definitely return.

Celebrating my husband’s 55th birthday.

If you are craving some downtime, there is no better place than this quant lake house. Imagine sipping on a cold cocktail under a canopy of trees overlooking a lake. It was great.

We enjoyed our time at the lake house. Plenty of space, clean, comfortable beds (big deal to me!) and unique location. It's like others described it - a treehouse with a lot of charm and character and they had everything we needed. The longer you stay the more you love it. It's not a new home but it's clean and the owners/hosts were amazing. If anyone has mobility concerns or is not able to climb stairs then this place is not a good idea because of all of the stairs and steps to access the lake and levels of the home. For our family of 4 with 2 older kids this was not an issue. The top floor is the main floor with a nice sized living room plus a view of the lake and balcony, kitchen with everything we needed and half bath. Our teenager son chose to stay in the sunroom on the corner of main floor which had an awesome view of the lake and was bright and sunny. The two bedrooms and main bathroom are on the lower floor along with laundry and access to the lake. We used the kayaks and paddle boards, sat out on the deck and overall just enjoyed the scenery and lake life. They have fishing gear, life jackets (various sizes), 2 kayaks and 2 paddle boards, 2 grills (regular and Blackstone), outdoor table and chairs on the dock and up by the house. It was right on the lake but about 10-15 min to restaurants and the grocery store! Our experience was positive and I'm glad we found this place! Thanks for sharing your home with us!
