Located in the heart of the Berkshires, midway between NYC and Boston, this newly renovated two bedroom apartment is nestled on 10 acres of lush forest along the Green River in Hillsdale NY. Enjoy all that the Berkshires, Western Massachusetts and the Hudson Valley have to offer. Perfect for year-round getaways.

A comfortable, luminous living room, a fully equipped kitchen (oven/stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, plenty of cooking utensils), and a private patio with a gas grill overlooking the river. Two bedrooms with queen beds, TVs, closet space and private bathrooms. Forest and green all around, with a riverside picnic area.

There are many things to do in our extended neighborhood. Great restaurants, bars, performing arts, museums & galleries, antiquing, winter sports, water sports, hiking, farms and vineyards to visit. Please always feel free to inquire for more information.

Peaceful winter respite

My brother and I met here with our daughters for a weekend of skiing and relaxing in the Berkshires. The property was everything we were hoping for: a beautiful, serene setting, nicely decorated, and warm and cozy. The amenities were top notch with a lovely gas fireplace, a beautiful and well outfitted kitchen, super comfortable beds, and wonderful bathrooms. We loved walking around the property in the freshly fallen snow, listening to the babbling river, relaxing in front of the fire, and watching a movie on the giant TV. In addition, Armand was quick to respond to a few questions we had while we were there, so we were able to enjoy everything the place had to offer. This property would make for a wonderful getaway any time of year!

Lovely wwwkend!

We so enjoyed our weekend in this cozy, comfortable apartment. Tucked into the woods near the Green River, the setting was delightful and quiet..just what we needed. We really enjoyed the fireplace and big comfy crunch.

Truly lovely

What a fabulous location. Easy to find, close to the Berkshires, Norman Rockwell museum, Red Lion Inn, quaint shopping, all of it. It’s situated on a stream with a hammock, chaise lounges and Adirondack chairs just waiting for you. This is just what your stressed out soul is begging for.

Serene and beautiful

Property was perfect for two adults attending meetings in the area. The house was spotlessly clean and had every amenity we needed. The beautiful location and serenity of the area has us wanting to come back for another stay!

Lovely updated interior. But a few issues.

I did have some problems hearing back from the owner in a timely manner. The day before we were ready to leave (after sending several emails, saying I needed to know about how to get in), I finally got an email response. Phew. Overall, the accommodations were lovely and comfortable. However, I was specifically looking for a place that had a fireplace for our anniversary weekend. It's a part of the ambiance, of course and advertised as such. And, the living area had multiple large windows on one wall with no blinds to hold in heat or make it more "cozy" so I was looking forward to the fireplace. Well, the fireplace did not work (it was gas not wood). And I didn't find this out right away. There were no instructions on how to turn on the fireplace or which remote to use, so I looked for a manual and nothing was said about the fireplace. I grabbed what I presumed to be the remote and still it didn't work. I thought it was me not using the right remote. I then texted the owner and he sent over his maintenance person. We waited for him to figure out it wasn't working at all, and couldn't be repaired in the time we were there. This was a huge disappointment; the time spent trying to figure it out, waiting for maintenance, it was disruptive. I would have thought the place was checked out before the any guests arrived, to be sure it was in working order. Needless to say, it was a big disappointment. The middle of cold February, in the woods and no fireplace :(

Cozy and Serene

My family had a wonderful stay here. The suite is spacious yet cozy and was a perfect spot to enjoy a rainy fall weekend. Surrounded by nature, the large windows allow you to take it all in while enjoying the warmth of the fireplace. We would love to return in warmer months to enjoy the riverside amenities more!

Our fourth stay, still excellent

This is our 4th year using this property as the base for our visit to the Berkshires, where we attended performances at Jacobs Pillow and Tanglewood. We like it's rural, quiet, location, that manages to be out of the way, but close enough to everything, at least for our taste. We encountered a few minor house repair issues when we arrived, and the owner got them fixed right away. Highly recommended, again.

Quiet Getaway

We had a lovely 3 night visit in this charming property nestled in the woods. We stayed on the lower floor of the condo. We loved all the glass, including the door, which provided a lot of warm natural light during the day. The matching bedrooms and open kitchen/living room all had a cozy and modern feel. Definitely will plan to return.

Great place

We've now stayed at this property twice; once in summer of 2021, and once summer of 2022. It's a very comfortable, clean, attractive unit. We use it as a base for visiting Berkshire and eastern NY attractions such as Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow, and Hudson Valley estates such as the Thomas Cole home. Highly recommended.

Lovely place!

Just what we needed— 2 bedrooms with baths for the 4 of us. Kitchen and patio well equipped, we cooked and grilled. Had fun playing board games. A lovely quiet spot close enough to Tanglewood where one of us was performing.

Beyond expectations

I rented the property, than had a rotation of family and friends visit. Loads of extra linens and towels were provided for all. The generous living room and kitchen, amenities and wonderful patio overlooking the river made for cozy comfort and much catching-up. Close to all the Berkshires have to offer allowed easy visits to Great Barrington, Rockwell etc. If anything, the vrbo listing understates how nice the property really is. If you are looking to get away from it all, the spotty cell reception may be a blessing.

A green dream

We enjoyed a peaceful week in this lovely and familiar setting. Winding country roads lead to a clearing in the woods and a charming cottage with tasteful and modern amenities. We explored the grounds and relaxed on chaises overlooking a stream whenever we returned from visits with friends nearby.

Solitude and Nature

This is a cozy and romantic home next to a real babbling brook. We visited in mid-November when there was just a hint of snow outside and temps floating on either side of the freezing mark. A gas fireplace provided plenty of warmth and made us feel cozy and cheerful. The two queen size beds were comfortable and the two guest bathrooms were spacious and clean. Armand, who we had been In contact with prior to the visit, was not there to welcome us but had his father greet us. The welcome was warm and informative. Armand had left us a bottle of wine as part of the welcome. I highly recommend this property.

a weekend in the country ...

An exquisite setting for this comfortable, well appointed property. Two couples with en suite full baths gave privacy. Kitchen fully appointed with new necessities plus coffee pods. Loved the electric fireplace on the cold night and easy to control heating system. Décor updated, tasteful.

A house in a park!

The photos of the property don't do justice to all of the grounds that you have access to on this property! In addition to the patio, there are lounge chairs, a hammock, a picnic table, and multiple grills, all overlooking the Green River - it's an oasis! We enjoyed using all of the outdoor spaces, and appreciated the torches and candles that provided light and relief from any bugs. The 2-bedroom en suite had everything we needed for our 5-day stay. Armand was accessible, and made check-in and check-out very easy. This property is accessible to Hillsdale, Egremont and Great Barrington, all of which provide shopping and dining options. We look forward to returning!
