Bliss out at Point Reyes National Seashore. Our fully-equipped, luxurious studio cottage sits on the edge of Tomales Bay where great blue heron, egrets, fox and deer roam. Watch the tide, listen to frogs chorus in springtime, or head out to Point Reyes National Seashore, three miles south. Dine and shop in charming Point Reyes Station, walking distance from the cottage. The gorgeous, spacious cottage has a full kitchen, plush furnishings, hot tub, barbecue and total privacy. Great for couples or your private retreat.

Great property

We loved our stay in Pt Reyes. The weather did not cooperate- we were there during an Atmospheric River. But this unit was cozy enough that we made a fun indoor day with movies and puzzles. We would definitely stay here again

2 Days in guest cottage.

Lovely stay. Host was very responsive and kind. Loved the kitchen, access to bbq, hot tub, and backyard was very pretty. We enjoyed the wood stove. Neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. Lots of stars. Highly recommended.

Perfect quiet getaway

Quick getaway for three nights. The cottage is roomie, clean, and has lots of nice little touches. Hiking trails lead to stunning views of the ocean. Also nice to be close to a little downtown if you forget any essentials.

A lovely quiet place, perfect to explore and relax

The place was beautiful and so well maintained. Nice light both morning and evening. Only comment for us elder travelers . . . the TV and music system operated off of computer/other equipment the guest brought and cabled to their TV/music. Naturally, that's not the way we usually travel so just enjoyed quiet evening relaxing and reading and talking instead. Not such a bad idea.

A gem of a cottage

I can’t say enough about how amazing this cottage is. It’s quiet, cozy, comfortable, well maintained. The decor is right up my alley. The owners were very responsive when we had a minor problem that was quickly resolved. We had a wonderful time and look forward to coming back! Wish I could give ten stars!

Don’t tell too many people, yes it’s THAT good

Absolutely fabulous. The quiet the gardens the sun the privacy the stars the tub the kitchen and most of all the owners are so warm and obviously proud of their property. The only negative is leaving 😕

Beautiful place

We loved the cottage. It was beautifully furnished, comfortable and in a spectacular location. It’s the perfect place for a getaway. We hope to come back every year.

Magical Spot

What a great location. Close to all that is special about the Point Reyes/Inverness area. The accommodations were fantastic. Very comfortable and well appointed with everything we needed. It was very difficult to leave at the end of our stay. Great host. We'd love to come back.

Second Visit

We have stayed at this cottage two times now and thoroughly enjoyed our stay each time at this well -appointed clean rental. The location is close to town, is very private and quiet. The hosts were incredibly responsive and accommodating throughout our stay, We highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway!

A great weekend getaway!

This cottage was in a very quiet neighborhood, within walking distance of Pt. Reyes downtown area. It was nicely and comfortably furnished, and the kitchen was well stocked. We had come to hike, and we had lots of very scenic choices. The owners were right next door, but we would not have known they were there, especially with the artfully placed privacy fence. However when the electricity went out in a storm, they were at our door, offering to build us a fire and providing a ladder. We were happy and comfortable there, and we will definitely book again!

Perfect!

We just returned for a second stay at this cottage. It's perfect! Everything about it is comfortable. We love the hot tub. The wood stove works well and doesn't leak smoke. There are two good reading seats. The bed is comfy. The bathroom is clean and functional, as well as warm enough... not a given in this chilly climate! There are two tables, so you can leave a puzzle or game set up on one and eat at the other. Kitchen is well equipped. We can't wait to come back! **Note that there is no microwave. There is a large toaster oven with plenty of oven-safe dishes to heat up your leftovers.**

Peaceful Perfection

Great vacation!

We had a lovely stay at the cottage. It is a beautiful space, great kitchen, nice outdoor sitting area and hot tub. We enjoyed meeting Catherine and John. They are great hosts and very helpful. We hope to return in the not too far future.

Excellent

The cottage is large and very comfortable. There are a lot of different sitting areas both inside and outside to enjoy the views of the private backyard. The kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom was clean. We enjoyed the stay.

Good location

Overall this property is fine, clean and a good location. Doesn't have a microwave, which for travelers not wanting to cook is not great. The claw tub is difficult to get into and the shower could use updating, drain doesn't work very well. A lot of antiques which are not too practical for a rental--hard chairs and nowhere to sit and read comfortably. Bed is fine. All in all, this property is good if you are not too picky!

Lovely place to stay in Pt. Reyes

Loved it! Great communication with host. Close enough location to lots. I wouldn’t say it’s walking distance to town unless a half hour walk is what you’re up for. Best to have a car regardless as there is so much to do and see. Loved the hot tub although one side didn’t have working jets- I meant to tell the host and forgot. The bed was great! Not too soft or firm. If I could improve anything, it would be a new set of couches. The ones there are cool and antique, but you sink into them as they’ve had a lot of use and I’m not sure if it’s easy to keep them clean—which isn’t a big deal if it’s in your personal home, but something more durable and easy to clean would make sense for a guest house with lots of traffic. The host left fruit and yummy cheese and crackers and was just very responsive and helpful. I’d love to come back!

Exceeded our expectations

This is a charming cottage with wonderfully eclectic furnishings (and a very impressive library). Although it’s a studio, the floor plan is really well done . . . the space is quite large with a lot of natural light, and we loved the roomy and airy feel of the place. Opening the curtains on a wall of windows (and French doors) to a view of the private patio/garden in the morning was a wonderful way to start each day. The neighborhood was peaceful, the bed was comfy, the shower was hot, the kitchen was well-equipped, and the two terry robes were a thoughtful touch. There is a hot tub by the patio, and on a cool evening it was a great way to end a day. John and Catherine are superb hosts, treating us to a welcoming gift of fruit and local cheese and offering kind advice about the area when we asked. The location was a perfect “home base” for our explorations: birding the Point Reyes seashore, hiking the trails, visiting the redwoods, and enjoying the wine country. We stayed at the cottage for ten days and hated to leave.

Catherine and John were very friendly and greeted us very enthusiastically on our arrival. Everything was comfy and cozy and exactly as described. We will definitely return.
