Family Weekend

The only complaint I have is the upstairs shower, if you are a child or a small size adult (and I mean small size)then the shower is ok but it was definitely not made to fit an average size adult. Everything else was great , all appliances worked great and the kitchen was stocked well with all needed utensils and pots and pans. Communication was excellent when ever we had a question. Almost forgot the back patio light never worked, a electrician was sent out but couldn't fix the problem.

Awesome Stay

We came up-north to go to the Cherry Festival, Sand Dunes, and Torch Lake. The house was perfect. It was centrally located and just perfect. We had bonfires at night and did game night at the kitchen table. There were extra towels in the bathroom and our dog was allowed, that is a bonus for me.

Family Vacation

Overall the property was good. The only problems were the dog hair should have been vacuumed off of the comforter in the master bedroom. The pillow cases in the master had makup smudged on them and the cable box in the master had an error code an inoperative. Had a firestick with us so TV wasn't an issue. Other than 5hat we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay again. I know it sounds like complaining but these things needed to be brought to your attention. Thank you all and again enjoyed ourselves

Long weekend

Convenient location near the ski hill and just a few minutes from downtown. Host was very responsive when additional requests were made for towels. All the basics were available in the house and kitchen, but will need to bring additional items above the basics you might want (storage containers, bags, tin foil, etc.). Good stay overall! There is a real wood fireplace with wood provided, but it does leave the house a bit smoky smelling. Enjoyed our stay and would return.

Michigan Getaway

My family and I were searching for getaways near Ohio and stumbled across this cabin. It was perfect in everyway. Had everything we needed if we wanted to stay in and was within around an hour to everything we wanted to see in Northern Michigan. Property management was very on top of things and answered all of our questions quickly to ensure we had a worry-free stay.

Torch Lake Bday Weekend

Great house, reasonably priced close to Torch Lake. House was a bit smaller than pictures made it look, but overall it worked great for our group of 7. Clean, cabinets well stocked with dishes and cookware. Charcoal grill on deck, fire ring. Beautiful atmosphere tucked in the woods.

The home was in a quiet area with access to activities close by. The only complaint is that the hot water ran out quickly.

Disappointed

The photos of this rental made this place look amazing. Not the case when we arrived. Very dark inside the house. House is located among many trees. In the winter with snow on the ground and no leaves the house will have more sunlight. The furniture was very warn that needs to be replaced and visible stains on the pillows. The house needs deep cleaning, sticky floors, cobwebs and spiders everywhere. The deck off the back was nice but all the furniture was dirty. The pans need to be replaced, Teflon coming off on every one. The screen door on the doorwall needs to be fixed. There was a review from 2020 stating the same thing and hasn't been repaired. We had enough towels for a couple of days. I called the property manager and they delivered enough for the rest of the week in a timely manner. The TV situation was ridiculous. Passwords for the services should have been already on programmed. Didn't want to use my own passwords on someone else's system. Happy we had brought our own firestick so that we could watch tv. The internet password provided in my email was incorrect. We found the password on the router. Upstairs shower is very small 3x3 ft. Downstairs is full size shower and tub. This house needs a list or a book to explain all the details of the house. Ex: how to use the heat, a/c, trash location, how to get more linens, internet and tv passwords, pool instructions, list of restaurants and things to do in the area. We left one day early because we just couldn't take it any longer. I hope this review helps the property owner to improve this rental. This rental has great potential but needs to be updated and cleaned.

Great adult weekend away.

We really enjoyed our time at this place. It had everything we wanted for a much needed kid free weekend. Great place to sit and relaxing watching football or Hallmark movies. Couches should be replaced soon. They are well used. Kitchen and table work for our needs. Enjoyed lots for games and food. House was clean although it really needs a deep clean with washing curtains and such. Only issue was really our fault. We ran a hair dryer and a heater at the same time. Bad idea we lost power in some of the house for a little time. Fire place was great for the first weekend of snow. We would stay here again.

3 Day Hideaway

The whole process easy and convenient. I experienced open communication with Vrbo. They delivered consistent messages and updates as the trip became closer. There was absolutely no issues finding and entering the property. Very Clean and plenty of room. Quiet area. Great experience!

Family vacation up north

We loved the area. The condo met all of our needs, well-equipped & comfortable. Bonus that we could bring our dog! The Master bedroom door is a bit tight so it makes an enormous sound-at night it was noisy. But, the privacy from other units was terrific. Loved the forest setting. We walked & walked! The lakeview pool was the bomb!! So hot & what a sunset!!! Would love to visit again!! Thank you!!! God bless

Relaxing & restful

Disappointed 🤮Broken Screen door and broken front storm door. Fan covered in dust. Filthy floors

We considered not staying due to the un-cleanliness . Two of the 4 of us slept on the couch due to mice droppings in the downstairs bedroom. It left an uneasy feeling as it is Covid and you would think cleaning would be a top priority. We thankfully brought some of our own cleaning products to wipe down the kitchen. There was Cobb webs everywhere and bugs behind the dressers children’s stickers on the mirror. I could go on and on but I think you get the picture. Very poor experience which is sad because we came to celebrate a birthday.

Mid week getaway

Great location for visiting local towns- Bellaire, Alden, Traverse City. Nice trail to walk up to the top of the ski hill- beautiful view! Enjoyed our stay.

In Need of Much TLC!!

The chalet is in a beautiful setting, but it is very outdated and not very well equipped. The microwave light did not work and the turn table inside the microwave would not turn. The sliding door to the patio in the back was always off track and the electric plugs need to be replaced because plugs kept falling out due to extreme wear and rare where the prongs are inserted. There was suppose to be directions on how to use the WiFi and TV left on the kitchen counter, but there wasn’t. We called Vrbo to tell them know and obtain the directions, passwords etc on a Friday, the day after we checked in and even they did not know. Net-net, we had to wait until Monday before we received what we needed. Thankfully, we did not spend a lot of time inside the chalet.

Not an owner managed property and it shows. Carpet is trashed and bed linens need replacing. Tub does not drain well. Otherwise, quiet, remote, all basic amenities.

Last minute trip to Torch Lake

The property was located in a convenient location and a short drive to the lake. The inside was clean and seemed to be well maintained. The exterior could use some TLC, but no issues. The only is so we encountered were 1- while there is AC, it’s not central air. There is a mini-split unit in the main living area that cools well; however the bedrooms are not serviced well with that single unit. 2.- after 2 days we found that the kitchen sink drain had come uncoupled and had water leaking onto the floor. We called maintenance; who responded and fixed the issue. The response was slow due to them being given the wrong address by the answering service. Once the got the proper address they were there in minutes.
