Escape to a peaceful oceanfront getaway with breathtaking, panoramic views of the beautiful Sooke Basin. This private suite offers the perfect balance of comfort, nature, and relaxation.

The spacious master bedroom suite includes a generous living area and a cozy office space—ideal for both unwinding and staying connected. The fully equipped kitchen features an inviting eat-in area overlooking the ocean, making every meal a scenic experience.

Step outside onto the expansive three-level deck, just steps from the shoreline. Enjoy outdoor dining, sip your morning coffee by the water, and take in the sights of local wildlife—seagulls, eagles, seals, otters, and even the occasional orca.

Enhance your stay with optional on-site experiences, including massage therapy (LMT) or yoga by the sea (yoga mat provided).

For those who enjoy outdoor adventure, you’ll find endless hiking opportunities just 5–10 minutes away, as well as easy access to explore all that Vancouver Island has to offer. Visit local farm stands and summer farmers markets, or enjoy nearby recreational facilities including pickleball, tennis, basketball, and a children’s play area just a one-minute drive away.

Food lovers will appreciate the abundance of fresh Dungeness crab and salmon in the area—perfect for a memorable sunset dinner on the deck.
And just a short drive away, Victoria—named Condé Nast Traveler’s 2023 Best Small City—offers charming shops, dining, and cultural experiences.

Beautiful location near the water. Scott was communicative the entire time and always answered my questions in a timely manner. He provided a great guide to the area which included recommendations for local trails and restaurants. It was a perfect relaxing getaway in the woods. Would definitely book again!

This is the perfect place for nature lovers. The VRBO is situated with a view over an inlet and is surrounded by trees. We saw otters, seals, deer and bald eagles from the deck alone. The home itself is immaculately clean. The kitchen is well-stocked. And the host, Scott, is extremely accommodating. The local area has beautiful natural beaches, lovely forests and excellent restaurants. We can't recommend it enough as a wonderful place to recharge.

What a beautiful stay.My mom and I spent three nights and all we can say is wow! Scott was an exceptional host and the house was just as exceptional. The pictures simply don't do it justice. Clean, quiet and absolutely peaceful. Hope to be back one day. Thanks for a great experience.

We had a great stay. The place was quiet and secluded, yet close to some nice local hikes. Scott was a wonderful host. We barely needed his assistance, but whenever something was missing, such as an extra ingredient or a small kitchen item, he was always available while still giving us complete privacy.

We absolutely loved our stay. The owner, Scott, was so friendly and hospitable, he even left us a basket of fresh herbs and vegetables from his garden.

We were stunned by the beauty of Scott's VRBO - both inside and out. Every possible amenity has been taken care of, and the level of comfort we experienced was outstanding. The ever-changing view of the water, sky, and trees is breathtaking. Scott is a wonderful host - very friendly and hands-on. We a great getaway - we will be back!

100% the best rental we have ever experienced! Beautiful views and a fascinating backyard beach to view countless purple and red starfish every morning. Comfortable beds and excellent kitchen with beautiful views from every room. Scott was by far the most friendly and helpful host we have ever had. We will definitely be repeat customers.

Lovely rustic getaway. Since the owner lives upstairs, check in was easy. Main living area with king bed, plus one bedroom (queen) accessed off the kitchen suited us.

This property, and the property host, exceeded our expectations! The location itself was incredible, the suite was larger than anticipated and very well-appointed, and the host was extremely thorough prior to check-in (offering many suggestions in advance of the check-in) as well as while on-property. He was respectful to us as guests and offered to procure anything we may have forgotten. We are very much looking forward to our next visit.

Amazing view, amazing host

The house sits on the cove and has amazing views! You can feel the stress melt away. House offers everything you need, is very well decorated and the owner is an amazing host that has thought of everything. Cannot wait to return next year!

Absolutely fabulous! From the moment we sent the reservation request to the moment we drove away.

Everything was top notch. Beautiful location. Easy access to all sorts of activities. The home was exactly what we needed for our family. Scott and Marianne were tremendously helpful and great hosts. We will be back.

We relocated to Sooke 10 years ago after living in Costa Rica where we built and ran Villa Mariana, a high end, luxury vacation rental home in the jungle of Manuel Antonio.

We were looking for a home by the ocean that was slightly off the beaten path but still close enough to enjoy a Great Restaurant or a day of shopping.

Living at Seaside Cove feels like living in a watercolor painting, with the ocean view providing a pallet for an evolving landscape, of mountains, trees, wildlife ,and colors.
We have always loved nature and have spent many years in Costa Rica rescuing and rehabilitating everything from dogs and cats to sloths, coatimundis, even the occasional boa constrictor.

We value our creature comforts and offer our guests the same high standard of quality and detail that we enjoy in our home.

We enjoy hiking with our Dogs, taking an evening kayak or checking the crab pots for fresh Dungeness. Our favorite time is spending a warm afternoon picking berries, baking artisan bread and creating organic meals with ingredients from our garden.

Every effort is made to ensure our guests have their privacy and at the same time we are happy to make suggestions as to what to see and do during your stay.
