Quirky Cottage Downtown Grand Haven

Welcome to the Cutest Summer Cottage! This place is full of charm and character. The location is perfect, with easy walking to all of the restaurants, bars, and shops on Washington street. Just blocks to the boardwalk and musical fountain. It's an easy stroll or quick bike ride to the award winning beaches and historical lighthouse. This cottage has a fully appointed kitchen with a large skylight and modern appliances. Four Bedrooms, (one bedroom on the main level) easily sleep eight (one queen, two fulls and two single beds). Large Bathroom with separate claw foot tub and shower. This place has something for everyone, plenty of books and games for children of all ages. The house is set far back from the road with fire pit and lots of room for kids to chase those fireflies while you grill or use the out door shower. This house adds up the perfect magical place you will want to return to, year after year! The tan lines will fade but the memories spent at the cottage will last a lifetime. We regret the cottage is not handicap accessible.

Great location, 5 minute walk to the beach and shops. Host was very responsive and helpful. Neighborhood is quiet. Lots of space to hangout in in the home and outside. I would recommend especially if you’re traveling with family.

Quirky Cottage was the perfect place for our 2 families of 4 to spend a weekend. Located just a few blocks from downtown with nice outdoor space. Our kids were fascinated by all the VHS tapes and the huge selection of board games kept them entertained for hours. The host was extremely responsive and addressed a minor issue quickly and effectively. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

We had a great quick stay in Grand Haven at the Quirky Cottage! House was clean, had all needed items, and lots of extras like games, books and a pretty yard with chairs for relaxing!

Perfect for our family with young kids

We just finished our trip to Grand Haven, and everything about the Cottage was perfect for our family. We had room to host friends, lots of indoor and outdoor activities, and an incredibly stocked kitchen. We look forward to hopefully staying again next summer!

Great Time at the Quirky Cottage

Our family of four has a lovely Labor Day weekend stay. Tim was great at communicating with us and the neighborhood was lovely. I love the character of the house and only wish we could have stayed longer!

Guys weekend

We all had a great time. Just a couple blocks away from everything which was nice. Very hilly so you got a workout in walking everywhere but still close to everything. I would recommend to anyone i know planning a trip to Grand Haven.

Location Location

We loved staying at the “Quirky Cottage”. It was a short walk to shopping, boardwalk, restaurants, and ice cream. We even walked to the pier. The neighbor was quiet and the yard was perfect for family. Definitely a cottage feel. We would stay again.

Felt Like Home!

We loved the Quirky Cottage for our family of 5. Perks included a great location super close to all of the restaurants & shops, having 3 bedrooms upstairs for the "kids" while parents stayed in the main floor bedroom, huge yard with fire pit for evening activities, and a fully loaded home with kitchen gear, outdoor toys, kids games, you name it. The host was super efficient and had great communication. We will certainly be back to this cozy gem!

Wonderful stay

This house is in the PERFECT location. Walking, biking, or short drive to just about everything. Like other reviews said, the floors are super uneven with many small stairs, it was a bit nerve wracking with a very active 1.5 year old. That being said, with such a great location we were really only at the house for nap and bed time so it worked out just fine! The host offers a lot of great amenities for kids and the whole house smelled and looked so clean. Really great stay!

Great House for location

My family and I enjoyed staying at house, thought I had a frig problem- but didn’t and Tim was so kind to respond.. We loved all the perks of the house-games, air in each room, outside shower, welcome basket was fun - and hidden coin . Location nice for walking downtown. This is our fifth stay at the Cottage! We absolutely love it and make it the kickoff to our summer each year. My daughters love the mermaid room with the dress up area and then settle into the room with the twin beds for a vacation sleep over! The house has everything we need for our stay. Each year we stay, we see the small upgrades or improvements Tim makes to keep the property well maintained. The cottage is just a few blocks in to the social district, so we walk to town for breakfast, dinner, ice cream, shopping and entertainment. It is truly a gem and we will continue to stay at the cottage each summer!

A very nice stay with lots of amenities and beach stuff and games. As a lifelong carpenter and remodeler I would love to meet the carpenter. Not a single level or plumb line to be seen. But all is fitting together pretty darned good. Surely a challanging home to trim out. We loved it. The baileys

4th of July

Great location, nice size property and easy to get around downtown. This is an old very corky house and really could use some updates. The rooms all have their own AC in window, and 1bedroom is on the main floor. Kitchen is great, nice yard for a bonfire. The shower is very small, I’m 6.2 & 225 lbs and it’s tight in there. 7 out of 10 for me and my family.

Third visit

Our grandkids love the quirky cottage and want to come back every year. The decor is cozy and inviting. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to make our meals from the farmers' market offerings. Location cannot be beat. We walked everywhere including the beach, splash pad, and downtown shops/restaurants. The deep yard is great for kids to play safely...lawn and table games provided. Thanks Tim for sharing the quirky cottage with us. We had a wonderful time! .
