This cabin in the woods is your PERFECT ESCAPE destination. This cozy cabin sleeps 10-12 comfortably (recommended 8 adults max for ideal comfort)--called BIG BEAR and also has an available guest house --called LITTLE BEAR-- for an extra rate if you need the space (2-4 additional). This is just a few minutes drive from Lake Michigan so you can still have your beach getaway, but enjoy the private residence when off the beach. Instagram @blackberrycabin

This is the perfect spot for a reunion of friends or family. Approximately an hour and fifteen minutes from Chicago. This has the best of both worlds, easy to get to beach, while providing a private backyard space for year round enjoyment. Comfortable home style with a fully equipped kitchen (we cook a lot), lots of space, and open concept.

We supply bed linens and bath towels. We have a few beach towels stored in master bath, but it wouldn't hurt to bring more. Garage has bikes, beach gear, and a sand box to keep the kids entertained all weekend. Outside there is firewood that you can use for fires.

There is central A/C and heat. Plenty of parking for multiple vehicles (easy to fit 5-6 cars), so just bring food & drinks & you're set! Property has Weber Grill and Smoker, as well as a fireplace inside and a fire pit outside.
Beach, boating, and BBQ are all right here! The beach, antique shops, wineries, breweries, distilleries, outlet malls, and dozens of other must-do destinations are all just miles away! Very kid friendly, with toys and crib on-site.

Michigan City Beach, New Buffalo, and Long Beach are all beach destinations just minutes away.

The property has hiking trails connecting to the back yard that allow you to hike miles through the private woods. The woods back up to a train track that has a 2-5 trains go by a day, a favorite time of day for our kiddos to watch the cars go by! Occasional train whistle can be heard from indoors- never a complaint in our long history of renters but like to mention so you’re aware.

Minutes to apple picking, peach, blueberry and pumpkin farms. Three Oaks about a 15 minute drive.

Guest house (LITTLE BEAR) available for an additional cost. Please note to owner you would like this if you do, and she will adjust rate. This sleeps 4 (1 bedroom with King bed, queen pull out couch, washer/dryer, and a kitchen that includes a sink and small refrigerator.
