At DuPont Forest - Newer cabin designed for relaxation and comfort.

Shoal Sound is located on DuPont Road with easy access to the miles of trails and breathtaking waterfalls of DuPont Forest. We are only 10 miles from downtown Brevard and Hendersonville. The cabin offers all you could need to relax or rest after a day of adventure. We have WIFI, satellite TV, comfortable beds and a large porch to just sit and relax

Bedroom one has a king size bed with a comfortable mattress and linens, satellite TV, Grandmas wardrobe closet, and an antique dresser. The ensuite bathroom is spacious and has a walk in shower.

Bedroom two has a twin trundle bed with comfortable mattresses and linens. The second bathroom is just outside the door.

The living and dining area features a gas log fireplace, large entertainment center containing games, books, DVD player and a large TV with satellite access.

The kitchen has all the features you would want and expect have to make your stay like being at home. All appliances are new - large refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, farm sink, granite counter tops, coffee maker, Keurig, and microwave. If something is missing, let us know, and we'll get it. We spared no expense to create a beautiful kitchen for you to enjoy.

The porches are sure to be a favorite of guests. Listen to the sound of Shoal Falls from the swing or rockers. We even put a dining table on the porch for you to enjoy the surroundings. A small porch off the back has a small table and a park style charcoal grill.

Perfect Location

The cabin feels secluded, yet it’s centrally located between Brevard and Hendersonville. Being at the entrance to Dupont, we were on the trail in less than five minutes and on a Pisgah trail in 20. The cabin is very quaint and is beautifully decorated. It’s the perfect size for 4. We would definitely recommend and return.

Peaceful Place close to Waterfalls!

Connie has created the most amazing and peaceful space! Very clean, all the amenities, and the location is incredible! Just down the road from 3 big waterfalls! Would love to come back again! Highly recommend!!!

Perfect little get away

A great location for hiking or just to get away and relax. We had everything we needed in the kitchen for making meals, very comfortable furniture. While we didn’t have the opportunity to hike the Dupont Forest because of the weather, I would definitely entertain a second visit and explore more of the area.Thank you Connie for everything!Peter and Avalee

We really enjoyed our stay at Shoal Sound. The house was very clean and comfortable. It had all of the amenities provided that we needed for our 3 night stay. We enjoyed the gas fireplace since it was chilly outside. It made the family room nice and cozy.

Amazing, comfortable, well stocked!

Absolutely loved taking a weekend away at this house. Check in was very smooth, and the hosts responded right away to my only question. The house is very comfortable (beds, furniture etc) which is not always the case in rentals! Very cozy sitting in front of the fireplace and on the porch swing. The house had everything you could possibly need stocked in the kitchen, even things like extra bags, clips, etc. The property is beautiful as well, perched on the side of the hill so it feels like you’re completely alone when you look out the windows. Very quiet and calm. Thank you so much!

Another Amazing Stay

This is our second time staying at this cozy cabin (one time without kids, and this time we brought them along). The cabin is stocked with everything we could have needed. We especially enjoyed the fire pit in the evenings. Love the proximity to both Hendersonville and Brevard. We will be back!

Awesome View

We all enjoyed the beautiful fall colors and the deer during our morning coffee. The house was very clean and comfortable. Their were no restaurants nearby, and driving back and forth to Hendersonville and Brevard was slightly inconvenient for us. If we were going to stay at the house and have meals there, we would definitely choose this property again.

Weekend Getaway

The cabin is in a great location. Quick drive to DuPont, Brevard, and Jeter Mountain Farm for some apple picking. The outdoor space and covered porch was perfect for the kids. Connie was a wonderful host. Would definitely recommend!

This was not my first VRBO but it might be my last because I cannot imagine another property being this great!! If you can think of something you might need, it’s there. This place is beautiful and peaceful and conveniently located but tucked away and very private. If you can only choose one place to stay near Brevard, choose this one. The owners should hold “how to” clinics.

DuPont Forest cabin

This beautiful, clean, well-stocked, very cozy cabin was perfect for our needs! It’s close to Brevard where we attended the Mountain Song Festival, and very close to DuPont Forest. We will definitely come back!

Anfitrión: Connie Corn

We are David and Connie Corn. We are Brevard, NC natives. We graduated from Brevard High School together and married soon after. Our first date was a walk to High Falls on the Dupont Property. We built our home near Dupont, and in 2008 moved a small cabin onto our property. When time and money allowed, we renovated it to become a vacation rental. This was in between school, college, weddings and grandkids. We hope you will enjoy staying in our little cabin, relaxing to the sound of Shoal Falls and will come again.
