The perfect getaway for couples and families and also convenient for business travelers and those just passing through! Private and pet-friendly, our restored 1933 bungalow is on 18 acres, so you feel like you are in the country, yet you are just minutes from I-70 and shopping/entertainment, like The Legends and Azura Amphitheater. Get your best night of sleep on a plush mattress with lavender-scented pillows. Cook in a full kitchen or grill out back. Soak in the bath tub, relax on the front porch, walk the paths, let the kids play and take delight in a few surprise features. We have Google Fiber and a dedicated work space for those booking for business.

Our home is a convenient 20-minute drive from the airport and downtown KCMO; 30 minutes to Fort Leavenworth; and 30 minutes to Lawrence, home of The University of Kansas.

Our guests have told us that we have thought of everything to make their stay complete! A fully prepped kitchen -- check. Bath salts and soaps -- check. Slippers at the door and cozy throws throughout -- check. We specialize in making a stay with us memorable, and we invite you to experience the difference for yourself.

This house is absolutely charming! We were only in town for a quick stay, but I would definitely look into booking this again. It's very close to many amenities, but I loved that the property itself is so private.

Love this place

We really enjoyed this beautiful old farmhouse. Loved walking the grounds with my dogs. Super clean and comfortable. Hope to stay here again!

Love this little house

This is the second stay at this lovely little house tucked away in a very beautiful setting close to everything. It has a country vibe but if you need city life, it's just minutes away. We were there for a Country Music Festival and it worked out so nicely with the proximity being so close to the festival grounds. We hope to come back here every year. Very clean and well equipped with everything you need.

KC Farm House

This is a lovely property! Very welcoming and comfortable for four adults and two dogs. It was clean and had everything you needed for a restful stay. The farm-like setting is peaceful and allows for a nice walk-about!

Great spot for a stop-over

Stayed here with my 2 year old son, husband, dogs, and cats when we were in the process of moving to Texas from Iowa. Perfect spot for everyone to relax and great property to get the dogs some exercise in the morning before we got back on the road.

Country Stampede Retreat

we absolutely loved this cute little farmhouse. It was close to the Country Stampede and to Legends. We loved having a place to go hang out in a peaceful neighborhood. We will rent again if we come back next year.

Best Ever!

We have traveled around the world and this was one of our favorite stays ever! The home was so clean, so well organized, had thoughtful touches all throughout, was pet friendly, and had AMAZING amenities! We stayed to go to a KC Sporting soccer game and it was literally 4 min away! The KC Speedway, Legends outlets, and restaurants were the same distance. But we enjoyed how quiet it was, cooking in the kitchen, playing games together at the huge dining table, having our dog with us, and how comfortable it all was! An absolutely BEAUTIFUL remodeled home, with farmhouse charm. We loved this opportunity and, if ever in the area again, will request to stay again! You won't be sorry you booked this place!

Excellent Getaway

The house was very well decorated and clean. The location was very peaceful and quiet yet close to many options for restaurants, shopping, etc.. During our long weekend stay we saw deer crossing through the yard and well as multiple hawks in the large trees located on the property. We will definitely stay again on our next trip to the area to visit family.

Renn Fair retreat

Amazing experience. Hotels were our norm and it was wonderful to have the ability to spread out and have facilities to help save money by cooking and having a place to hang to play games and have conversation. Wonderful quiet location and close to our event. Close to other amenities with a short drive. Should have done this sooner.

Beautiful property and very convenient

We stayed one night with our two kids and two dogs. The property was perfect for our needs. 5 minutes from Legends and just a few minutes to the interstate, you can’t beat the location. The house was adorable, appointed with everything we needed for a one-night stay. The hosts were very welcoming and accommodating as well. We would absolutely recommend.

Cute country home

This home was very comfortable and convenient for our family. We were just a couple of miles from just about anything we needed yet still surrounded by nature. We woke up the first morning to a family of deer enjoying the front yard. The visitor shrine in the closet was clear and we enjoyed the cute mouse house that was in the dinning area. The home was decorated very cute.

Just as Advertised!

We adored this little farmhouse that has been thoughtfully refinished. The pictures are just as advertised. You really do get the sense that you are in the country but are only five minutes away from the Legends. We had a very relaxing stay and enjoyed the neighborhood cats and ducks!

We loved this property

We wanted to stay for a few more days! This property is so cute and comfortable. Sitting outside as the sun sets, or in the morning with coffee, listening to the birds and the insects was so peaceful. Watching the farmer next door working in the evenings, and the neighbors walking by with their dogs was also fun. The bed was comfortable and the shower was really nice. Thank you for sharing it.

My first time ever with VRBO

Could not have asked for anything more. My boyfriend and I flew in from Philadelphia for Thanksgiving weekend. The idea was to have my children who live in the metro area be able to join me as their schedules allowed. Everything was perfect and exactly what I had hoped for. Only small issue was the TV Antenna was not great to get the local channels. This was not too much of an issue except when it came to "Game" time and the TV kept going in and out. I think if it was located higher and closer to a window it might have worked better. Very nicely remodeled with a feel for the past! Thank you!

Cutest place!

This place was so cute and aesthetic! Decor was beautiful! The second we walked in it smelled so clean and was very clean, cleanest place we’ve probably stayed! The owners were super easy to work with! The house has everything you could ever need from the kitchen to the bathroom! The location is great, so much stuff around, but still a secluded vibe! 10/10 would reccomend!

We met at the University of Kansas and decided to stay in the heart of America, with its low cost of living, lots of amenities and activities to offer, and its central location for our passion of traveling the world. We enjoy a lifestyle of flexibility, and we use our time to constantly improve our property. We love meeting new people and sharing what we have created!

We wanted a simpler lifestyle in this crazy, fast-paced world, a place grounded in nature, where we could watch sunsets and enjoy food fresh from the earth. We bought our first 9-acre farm in 2006 and designed and remodeled it to make it our own. A few years later, we purchased a second 9-acre property next door to us to turn into a short-term vacation rental. We have poured our time, energy and money into making this house a charming, comfortable and functional retreat for guests. It's so lovely we wish we lived here!
