Blue Hues is a centrally located home that sits on over one acre of gardens along with a protected calm water sandy beach and a wonderful reef offshore for snorkeling.We are located in the very private exclusive enclave of Old Hooper's Bay which is a 30 acre private community just west of Hooper's Bay. This center island property is shared with only 7 other seasonal homes and borders its own exclusive community calm water Beach and Park reserve and is tucked away from the main road. Their are no private beaches in the Bahamas but our private (no public access) entrance to Old Hooper's Bay makes our home and beach a very peaceful and most importantly a very private place. Our prime center Island location offers the benefit of easy access to Georgetown and many amenities, which include banking, shopping, restaurants and groceries. The guest house and main house come as one if desired and will never be rented separately to other groups.

Blue Hues is a well appointed Beachfront Home with optional Guest House along with its own Private Pool which offers a perfect setting to relax and enjoy the company of family and friends. This beautiful home sits on over one acre of lush gardens surrounded by over 40 years of local hand crafted stonework and native terraced landscaping .Our home has over 180 degrees of stunning turquoise water views complete with a large outdoor patio and a expansive pool deck which offer great places to relax and unwind at the end of the day.
You can stroll the rarely occupied Beach and calm waters just steps away.

This 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bath main house has been superbly furnished and offers luxury island living at its best. Three of the bedrooms are in the main house with an additional rental option for the Guest House complete with a queen bedroom, living room, full bath, and kitchen. This is a perfect unit for Nannies, Grandparents or older Children.
*Main House and Guest House are provided with automatic whole house generator in the event of power outage which can be frequent.
Our wireless WIFI network along with Star link for our TV streaming service works great throughout the property including the Beach
*** NOTE: Main house sleeps 6 adults with a extra queen cabinet bed in bedroom two suitable for 2 small children for the 795.00 per night rate.
Our Guest House sleeps two adults only and if desired,additional charge is 190.00 per night plus 50.00 cleaning fee.
***GUEST HOUSE and MAIN HOUSE come as one and will NEVER be rented separately or to other groups

Great multi-generational stay!

We stayed just over a week at Blue Hues with our kids and grandkids, ages two and five. Everyone had an absolute wonderful time, and enjoyed everything this property had to offer! The home was perfect for our two families. It had everything you could think of! From the well stocked indoor cards and games, to the plethora of outdoor seating and water toys. We spent our time hanging out by the pool, or lounging in the hammock by the ocean! We loved the privacy and beautiful gardens! The peacocks were loved by our grandchildren! We will always treasure our time spent at this special place. Thank you Rick!

Great house, best location

Beautiful house with beautiful property and all the amenities you need. Rick was an amazing host, so attentive and great communication. You don’t need to leave the property at all. We had the best stay and will return!

Exuma vacation

Rick and Jodi go above and beyond to ensure guests have all they need for a perfect island getaway. The location was gorgeous, house (and guesthouse) were well stocked with essentials and immaculate, and the pool and landscaping well maintained. Easy check in/check out and super responsive to any questions or needs. Our party of 8 thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Would book again in a heartbeat!

Perfect!

I can't say enough positive things about this beautiful home. Pool and beach on property were one of the highlights. Perfect if traveling with children. Location of the house is close to the airport, grocery, restaurants and downtown Georgetown. The house itself is clean and has everything you might need for cooking, playing in pool or sitting on the beach. The view from the house is spectacular! Rick, the owner, made everything so easy. Constant communication and great tips on travel, restaurants, excursions etc. We will return to the beautiful Blue Hues!

Blue Hues Heaven

First time to Exuma and we will definitely be back. Travelled with my wife and 2 teenage daughters. The beaches, the people and the location were second to none. Rick really made the experience so smooth. Always available to answer any questions and provide suggestions. The house is as advertised. It has everything you need and is well updated and appointed. The beach is beautiful and just steps away or just sit on the comfortable patio sipping your favorite drink. It is a small island and the proximity from the home to all points of interest are less than 10 minutes away. Blue Hues is located within a small community of expats and visitors alike. In saying that, It’s extremely tranquil, quiet and serene. You feel like you’re the only one on the island. All in all, Blue Hues will exceed your expectations.

An Island within an Island

The house, the guest house, the view, the pool, the beach, the expansive property, and the multitude of equipment for water activities (e.g., kayaks, snorkels) allow you to come without any equipment or buy any gear while you are here. You could enjoy your entire week without leaving this property. All electronics and appliances worked flawlessly, as explained in the welcome package. Additionally, all of the owner's comments and suggestions about the vacation home and Exuma made our first stay so much more enjoyable! For instance, we took a fabulous all-day boat trip based on the owner's tip; other than the property, it was the highlight of the week.We have stayed at many rental properties around the world and this is our favorite.

Great place in Exuma!

The property was just as described. The view from the deck and lower deck with pool was awesome! The turquoise blue waters of the ocean were amazing. Rick was awesome to work with from the minute we booked the place. Was a great holiday!!

ONE WORD HERE- AWESOME!

This was our first trip to Exuma and when we read the description of Blue Hues, we knew it was the place for us and it did not disappoint. From the moment we entered the house, we felt right at home. Everything was clean, the furniture and beds extremely comfortable, and there was ample space to store what we brought from home and purchased on the way from the airport. Although we had fun exploring the island a bit, we were delighted to stay home, enjoy the beautiful beach, patio views, pool, and grounds, which were amazing. We snorkeled right off the beach to a little reef where we saw many fish, and swam with a couple of turtles. We still cannot get over the color of the turquoise water. Some of our best meals were made on the Weber grill – the ribeye's from Prime Meats were excellent (a few minutes down the road). We have stayed at many VRBO residences and have to say that Rick’s communication with us was the best. We knew what to expect before we arrived, and everything we expected was there. Thank you Rick and Jodi for sharing your beautiful home, we look forward to staying again.

Magical trip in the best house

The owner Rick is amazing and is available for any and all questions. The house is beautiful and has everything you need and more to not have to worry about anything. The guesthouse is great for people in the group that want a little more privacy. The pool perfect size and half of it is just deep enough to sit and sip your cocktail. The garage full of chairs, toys, floats, etc.The location is perfect. The best for last the view from the deck is unimaginable and no picture can do it justice..We will be back for sure.

Family trip

Took my wife and two boys to the island for the week. First time. One of the best homes we have ever stayed in. Everything we could have wanted. Rick was fantastic. No issues. Beautiful home and island. Will be back.

From the time we booked our stay the owner Rick was in constant contact with us answering all of our questions. He was more than helpful. The house was over the top immaculate and stocked with everything we needed. The view is breathtaking! Blue Hues is true paradise! We will be back and the only thing we would change, is we will be staying longer then 7 days next time!

Best house we’ve ever stayed at in Exuma!

This what our 6th to Exuma and this was the best house we’ve stayed at. It was perfect for our family of 4. The view is amazing. The property is beautiful. The pool was a favorite for the kids. The beach is private and calm and pristine. The house is centrally located on the island and close to restaurants and grocery stores. The owner went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. We highly recommend this house and we look forward to our next stay at Blue Hues!!

Amazing Week at an Amazing House

This was our third trip to Exuma, and by far our best. Blue Hues has perfect location to get to all points on the island. The property is meticulously kept..,every square inch of the full acre is landscaped! Great snorkeling right off the beach and even better snorkeling if you take the kayaks a little farther out. Rick, the owner, is the most responsive and thorough owner I’ve worked with. For my two boys (13 and 16), my wife and me, we couldn’t have picked. A better, cleaner, more perfectly located spot in Exuma. We will be back for sure!!

Amazing week at an AMAZING house

From the moment we walked in and said "WOW" when looking out the living room window to the very last minute we throughly enjoyed our time at Blue Hues! The kitchen has everything you need and more, the beds are comfortable, the pool is perfection, and we appreciated all the beach equipment which made it easier for us to pack light knowing we didn't need to bring extra gear. The private beach was icing on the cake. Being able to explore beautiful Hoopers Bay by snorkel or kayak was so much fun! There is absolutely nothing we would have changed about the house, and we can't want to come back again. Thank you Rick for allowing us to use your home, and for the great suggestions in your welcome book on places to go and people to contact. You helped make our week one that will be hard to top.

Blu Hues is an exceptional place to stay.

My husband and I have visited Exuma many times. We brought our family on this trip. Rick has the most beautiful and well maintained place. We stayed in the main house plus the guest house since we needed the space. Everyone was very comfortable. We loved being so close to the beach that was within walking distance. We used the pool almost every day. The kids especially loved it. The rentals were well stocked with everything we needed from cooking supplies to poll floats and kayaks. The location is perfect and has the ultimate view! We absolutely enjoyed our stay and plan to stay at Blu Hues again.

Best vacation ever!

I rented Rick and Jodi’s house with a girlfriend to celebrate her 50th with a week of relaxation. This beautiful home on a private beach with crystal clear water and white sand provided exactly that! The house was spotless and provided everything we needed, from cooking supplies to an entire garage full of beach equipment. The house is perched just up a walkway from the white-sand beach that’s easily accessible. There’s a small coral reef a short swim off shore that we explored daily—saw lion fish, sea stars, anemones, turtles and a rainbow of tropical fish. Rick was always available for questions and recommendations and navigating the home was easy with clear instructions everywhere. We rented a boat with Off Island Boat Tours and Captain Chris was the best. We also had excellent deep-tissue massages from Rick’s recommended massage therapist. I can honestly say this was the best vacation I’ve had yet and my friend and I are both going back with our families and renting Rick’s house again!

Simply the best

This was my family’s second time staying at Blue Hues and we love it! The house is clean, laid out well, and the host goes out of their way to make sure every little detail has been taken care of so your vacation runs smoothly and is enjoyable. From the well stocked kitchen, backup generator and too many other amenities to mention, the owner has thought of everything. The pictures don’t do it justice. The icing on the cake is the expansive property, with spacious deck, private pool, and the most amazing views with access to the community’s private beach. Truly a nature lovers dream. If you like private, this is your place. Utterly stunning!

We are tucked away in a "very private" no public access secluded community off the main road away from traffic noise and neighbors.The home and guest cottage are on a slightly elevated hill that offers fantastic water views and ocean breezes. This beachfront home is only steps from the Beach and offers very calm waters ideal for children.We are close to Prime Island Meats, Smitty's Convenient Store and a short drive to Georgetown and only 15 minutes from the Airport.
