Clean comfortable Studio in the Shawnee Forest. 700+ sq feet with full bath and fully stocked kitchen. King bed, full bed, and set of bunks for sleeping. Large flat screen television, recliners and couch in the living area, with sliding doors that lead out to the wrap around porch. There is a charcoal grill or a fire pit with a grill if you prefer to cook over wood.
Studio sits on 40 acres, shared with 2 other rentals and our personal residence. There are mowed walking paths throughout. Stocked fishing pond with sand beach and lounge chairs. A hammock sits in the pines across the pond.
We are pet friendly and there is a friendly beagle, Waylon, that roams the property.
We are located in the middle of nowhere and a 30 minute beautiful drive from many attractions

Quiet Get Away

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. It was quiet, clean, and very peaceful. The check in/out was very easy and the owners propeety was very beautiful. We hope to cone back stay again!!

Cutest cozy cabin and peace from it all

My husband, our pups, and I truly enjoyed our stay! We needed to take a break and it was great to disconnect and focus on each other. The cabin was clean and properly stocked for out stay and every piece of furniture was sturdy and comfortable! We were able to walk the property trails and enjoyed evenings by the fire. We also visited nearby metropolis for the Superman museum as well as Shawnee national Forest for garden of the gods; both were near enough but still allowed for peace and quiet during our stay.

Amazing location

Everything was perfect , this is a very nice place to relax and the peace and qyuite of nature . The scenery of the Shawnee National forest makes this place amazing and close to all the attractions . I will definitely return , Thank you very much Thad and Tommi for a great experience.

Great spot near Shawnee, secluded stay that really allowed some good r&r. Listing was accurate, check in and check out a breeze!

Slice of Heaven on Earth at least I think so!!

The property was Beautiful everything about it was what we was looking for!! The pond was nice and clean and stocked also included a small beach area for swimming with Kayaks available!! The cabins are Beautifully built, was a little closer than I liked but they were positioned just right for privacy!! Thad and Tommi were great hosts I got to talk with Thad a few times during our stay, was a down to earth country boy just overall a great person very respectful and informative on anything at the property. Waylon the beagle comes with your stay 😂 he won’t miss a meal if your cooking he’s there ready to eat 😂!! Definitely recommend this place for a nice getaway! We will be back thanks Thad and Tommi for the great relaxing and wonderful weekend.

Amazing place to stay when you want serenity

The property was beautiful. Very quiet lots of wildlife. Many amenities. Felt like home away from home. We live in the country so if you like that this is your place to stay.

Excellent little getaway spot

It’s out in the country. Middle of nowhere. Peaceful. Quiet. Nice little cabin with everything we needed. Property owner is accommodating and pleasant. Plan to return another time!

Perfect family getaway

This was the perfect getaway for my husband, I and our two small children. We thoroughly enjoyed the trail paths that went through the property. We enjoyed the pond for finishing and let the kids experience kayaking for the first time. We are already planning to book a trip back this spring. We also took a drive to the Garden of the Gods and Bell Smith Springs. Both drives were about 30-45 minutes, but they were beautiful country side drives.
