Tucked back in the woods, at the edge of 23 acres of a roughly 150 yr. old farm, this spacious, Amish built cabin built in 2006, is the ideal place to kick back and relax with friends or just your better half. Kick Back Cabin was originally the previous owner's art studio. With walking trails on the property that lead to a small creek and a seasonal pond, the scenery is sure to inspire.
This cabin is also at the epicenter of the Hocking Hills region and all that it has to offer!

The place was quiet and secluded. It was a nice get away for my husband and I. The main attractions were about 20-30 mins from thr place. The place was as described. Host was quick to communicate.

The cabin is located in the woods, with lots of privacy. We loved that, and our dog did too. We were very excited to walk the trails with her but felt they were not easy to identify (even with the provided map) and were overgrown. We were worried about ticks, so didn't use the trails and stayed on the gravel roadway. The hot tub was very enjoyable, and we loved the accessibility of the doggie door for our pet so she could be on the fenced-in deck that was nearby. We visited when there was a series of very hot days and the AC window unit in the main room just couldn't keep up with the heat. We feel the Kickback Cabin would be a nice place to visit in the fall or early spring when the heat isn't a consideration. All in all, it was an okay trip for us.

Was able to meet the host of this VRBO which made us feel very at ease. Very clean cabin. Hot tub was amazing to soak in after of day site seeing and hiking. Only two of us in this cabin, but there was room for a couple more. WIFI is spotty but what would you expect your in a cabin in the woods. (Put the phone down and enjoy). Overall a perfect place to stay.

VERY nice cabin!! Spacious. It was in the high 90s when I stayed here and both air conditioner units (kitchen/living room and bedroom) worked great and kept the whole place comfortable. Unfortunately, it was too hot for my dog and I to explore the hiking trails on the property, so I can't say anything about that. My plan is to stay here again in the late fall to explore outside. Highly recommend this cabin!

Garbage disposal did not work, cobwebs and dust in certain places. Showerhead was disgusting! Way too many light switches, maybe they should label them?Other than that it was good. The beds were comfy, sofa not back support-friendly, bedding was clean. Could use better towels (ugly color and worn). I like how they decorated! Liked that there was a full refridgerator/freezer and stove, open concept kitchen/living area. Also lots of streaming options on Roku smart tv because it rained A LOT!

We loved our stay at the Kickback cabin! The trails on the property and fenced in deck were so great for our dog, and we loved the screened in porch during a thunderstorm! Would definitely stay here again.

Cabin is truly in the woods . Bed was comfy Couch was spacious for 2 people and 2 medium dogs to lay out Cabin itself very spacious Screening porch and regular porch awesome Wifi is a little patchy - but once you are on WiFi you can easily get onto Netflix and phone Super dog friendly (if your dogs want to play in mud - bring your own cleaning container- stand up shower )It does get hot in the bedroom, there is ac unit window thing - which does keep the place cool enough you aren’t dying - but it does get a tad hot in there but we all still slept thru the night

Thanks again Esther! Our wifi works off of ATT, so being down in a valley, and having a metal roof can slow the signal. As long as the wifi stays inside the windowsill, it should have good service.

Nick and Shannon were great! Our girlies had the best time at their cabin, in the hot tub, and access to everything was easy. Definitely would recommend for a little getaway.

Nice place to stay if you’re looking for a quiet getaway! Not too far from attractions. So nice that there is a fenced in area for dogs and doggie doors. Communication was great.

This cabin was so cute and the property was beautiful! Very clean and the whole process was very easy. My only (almost) complaint is how bad the wifi was. We knew service in the area would be bad, but the wifi was bad there and it made it rough to communicate with my family back home. If we didn't NEED to disconnect from technology like we did, I would actually be complaining about it. Lol

Thanks again Candace! Unfortunately, being surrounded by hills, and heavy foliage in the warmer months, makes it difficult to get strong wifi. The cabin also has a metal roof, so the wifi device must stay in the windowsill for best service. Moving it will make the signal very poor.

Thanks again Nick! I'm not sure if you mean landmarks on the property, or in the area. If you mean the shared seasonal pond, it is on the opposite side of the woods from Kick Back.

The cabin was so peaceful and secluded. It was everything that we needed. The cleanliness and the amenities were excellent also. Even though we were unable to use the grill or the fireplace, Shannon and Nick had everything ready for us to do so. We did take advantage of the kitchen amenities and everything that we needed was available. The cabin was very tidy and super spacious. We loved it!
