Kick Back Cabin - The Original - Hot Tub and Walking Trails

Tucked back in the woods, at the edge of 23 acres of a roughly 150 yr. old farm, this spacious, Amish built cabin built in 2006, is the ideal place to kick back and relax with friends or just your better half. Kick Back Cabin was originally the previous owner's art studio. With walking trails on the property that lead to a small creek and a seasonal pond, the scenery is sure to inspire.

This cabin is also at the epicenter of the Hocking Hills region and all that it has to offer!

Best Family Getaway

Weve stayed at Kickback Cabin a few times. It was just as good this time as it was 5 years ago. We loved being back in the woods. Very peaceful, beautiful and the best wildlife. The cabin is super comfortable and met every need we had. We will definitely be back.

Secluded setting

Very clean and cozy cabin. Very dog friendly. Quiet setting. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate so we weren’t able to check out the trails which were steps away from the cabin.

Great Location to major trails

Great location. Very Dog friendly. My dog loved being able to go in and out of the doggy doors into a fenced in space. It’s way off the main road so very private. Hot tub was a nice highlight. WiFi was pretty good for being that far out.

Peace and quiet!!

If your looking for secluded, tranquil, peaceful and quiet, this is the place for you!! Loved our stay. Cabin was clean and exactly as described. Hot tub was great too!

Spring Weekend at Kick Back

We enjoyed a relaxing stay at Kick Back.No surprises from description and not much to add that isn't already addressed in other reviews.Pros for us: king bed, bedroom on same floor as bathroom (although bathroom is on opposite end of cabin), economical (but could use a few repairs), secluded enough without needing 4wd to access. Gas fireplace definitely kept us warm on rainy, chilly nights. Hot tub is a little older, but clean and enjoyable (need to warm it up prior to using it).We didn't get on the trails due to the rain, but saw deer on property on first night and various birds around the cabin.All in all, a great stay that fit our needs and budget.

Great cabin in the middle of nowhere

Overall I was very happy with our stay. The VRBO pictures need updated in my opinion. The cabin is clearly older than the pictures but we had a great time.

We enjoyed our time here. Very quiet and secluded. The cabin is not close to others, you have your own space.

getaway to hike and include our dog, Odin

Loved the location, so peaceful, trails behind us, no one around. very spacious with plenty of room. Fenced in deck and back yard, so Odin did not need to be leashed. Had everything we needed. Would go back and stay there again. Have a great 2-night getaway.

Great place to get away!

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. You're only 10 minutes from Nelsonville so getting groceries and supplies is a breeze. Lake Hope State Park is just a few minutes drive with lots to explore. Hosts were great and quick to respond to any questions we had.

Peaceful and Relaxing

Such a peaceful place! My husband and I had such a relaxing time. Just what we needed. We brought along our 2 pugs. They loved the fenced in area and we did too! Also the side porch where they could sit out with us on swing and not get out. Great communication with hosts. I had a few questions before we arrived and they answered quickly. We hope to stay here again. We even got to see it snow before we left.

Peaceful Retreat

We had a great time here! It was the perfect getaway in the woods. Beautiful hiking trials and fishing pond on site. Great location if you are looking to spend time at hocking hills. Owner was very friendly and great to work with. The cabin had everything we needed and was very dog friendly. Would stay here again.
