Come stay in this newly renovated cozy cottage! Pet friendly* with a fully fenced and secluded yard and two car drive way for your convenience. Located a short 4 blocks from the center of Old Colorado City, and minutes from scenic Garden of the Gods! For your comfort this cottage has a double size bed, and queen sized hide away bed! Also, the kitchen is stocked a microwave, oven, fridge, along with necessary eating/cooking utensils.
Smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors are hard wired for your safety.
Easily accessible from both I-25 and highway 24 makes this cottage in the perfect spot for vacation!

Great place

Overall great place for 2 people and the location was great as well. The hosts were great and easy to talk to if you needed to. It was clean and had a fire pit out back. The sofa is pretty uncomfortable I will say and the tv is slow but otherwise it was great. I’d say here again.

Cute cottage in Colorado Springs

Perfect place to stay to be near all the great things to do in Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs. We love having our own outdoor space to relax in after a busy day and a full kitchen to cook in. Save a bit of cash for other things! I would recommend and stay here again.

Son's wedding

Overall, the cabin was comfortable, well located to activities and good walking routes. The only suggestions I'd make are to replace the aging couch and get a window bar for the bedroom window so it can't be opened while the a/c exhaust is there.

Home away from home

It is a cute hoise within walking distance to charming reataurants in old Colo City. Really enjoyed the fenced backyard!

Convenient Cute Cottage

The cottage is cute and clean. The property manager was easy to communicate with. The pros are the location of the cottage and its cleanliness. The bed is very comfortable. The cons are the sofa desparately needs replacing as does the outdoor chairs. The place has so much potential if the owner would replace those items. Another con is the bathroom is not stocked at all - so bring your own soap and shampoo. I also would not advise summer visits as the A/C in the bedroom does not cool down the cottage. If visiting in fall or spring, it would be perfect especially if the outside furniture gets replaced.

50th anniversary

first of all the advertisement of this place is all false, we arrived early on the day of check in, about an hour early, waited and tried to contact manger and vrbo, finally we were emailed where to find the key. the place is a dump, the sofa is a joke can't sit to watch tv, you sink into the sofa, it must be at least 50 years old. Fact!! where to begin the whole place is just disgusting, the walls are filthy, i don't believe they have ever been cleaned. The carpet was sticky, there was a piece of some kind of lettuce stuck on the bedroom door, i tried to clean it off, it wouldn't come off, it obviously has been there for months, the back yard was not what showed on the picture. there was no grass the lounge chairs were filthy beyond disgusting!! the grass was totally dried out. OMG, and the bedroom is 5 feet from a main traffic road, and could hear traffic all night long, this is no mountain retreat. save your money, don't rent this place it is beyond disgusting, we had rented it for three nights only stayed one, probably wouldn't even have stayed the one night, however we were extremely tired from our day of traveling. We live in jemez nm and that is forest. This place is not in no forest, we were so upset and discussed we came home to what is a forest retreat..long st

Nice little house

Good place

Everything was good. Only the bathroom needs a better cleaning as we could see the wall on top of the toilet really dirty ( if the cleaner use a swifer it wil get way better) and the fan on top of the shower is really dirty as well.

Short stay

This was just perfect spot for us. We were able to go to Red Rock Canyon and Garden of the Gods and it wasn’t far from this location. We didn’t need anything big, just somewhere close to the trails and a place to sleep and eat. The host were very helpful and answered promptly when needed. Thank you for having us!!!

Good property for two

The property was clean, stocked in the bathroom and kitchen, the backyard was nice with bbq grill. Communication with property manager was very good, would definitely recommend to anyone planning a Colorado Springs trip! Thanks again

The location of the property was perfect for all the plans we had for visiting and touring the area. The Cottage was comfortable and had everything provided that we needed. At first, we had problems unlocking and locking the front door; but after working with it we did get it to work.

Cute little cottage in a great location

We enjoyed this small cottage; it was centrally located for CO & Manitou Springs, good full kitchen and fenced yard for our dog. It was a good size for the 2 of us for our stay. Would stay here again!

Friendly Cottage We Did Go!

A friendly cottage we did go, in old and wild Colorado, The bed for two we did not mind, but no closet or dresser for clothes did we find. The shower was not meant for two, no dinner table to entertain a friendly few. ADA broke all the rules, rugs dancing around the floor, the hardest part getting through the front door. With hands held tight, no end in sight, the week was just right.

Holiday Getaway

This property was just what I needed while visiting my daughter who lives nearby. Property is small, but I was mostly just using it for sleeping. My only complaint would be the backyard. It was filthy from other dogs. I cleaned up after my pet, and would expect that the host would clean up if other visitors weren't as considerate.

Could use some updating

The web site said property was updated but older reviews stated that the couch needed to be replaced. And it certainly does, we assumed that recent updates would include a new couch. Very uncomfortable to sit on. There was only one roll of toilet tissue and a half a roll of paper towels which didn’t last the week. No towels in kitchen. Only 4 towels and 4 wash cloths. We had to go to laundromat middle of week. Previous guests did not clean up outside after their dog.

Place to shower, crash, and watch a little TV.

Great price, comfortable, simple, and everything I needed it to be. I was in town to enjoy the outdoors and that's primarily what I did. For that it was perfect. Had rented a motorcycle and there was space in the little back yard/patio area to keep that each night. Manager was extremely nice and even went the extra mile by letting me mail a package to myself out there ahead of time to make travel easier on me. Easy to contact them too.

The good and the bad

Location was exactly what we were looking for. The property not so much. We arrived late, no outdoor lighting, we planned on using the advertised hide-a-way bed in the couch, it was unusable and there was no linen for it, just a comforter. The couch was very broken down and uncomfortable (also told via e-mail couch was updated). There was no hand soap in the bathroom, advertised as having shampoos, soaps, etc. less than half a roll of paper towels, no extra trash bags and no dish clothes to wash the dishes (there was only a dirty sponge). We had to go buy all the above items. The refrigerator stopped working on Sunday, contacted the proper owner and he apologized for the inconvenience and said he would replace it on Monday, I told him we were leaving early Tuesday morning and asked if he could get us a cooler with some ice thinking that would get us by and it would give him time to get a replacement refrigerator and help to get it inside. He never responded to my message and we never got a cooler or ice. Outside patio was not as advertised. Grill unusable, utensils rusty/dirty. seating had three unusable chairs and two (comfy) recliners. Bed was comfy and bathroom good. Had hard time with TV, no cable, remote needed batteries, need own Roku acct

Nice stay

Over all we enjoyed our stay. The Colorado Springs area has a ton of things to do. As far as the rental it is small but fine for the two of us. A couple recommendations I would make to the owner, replace the warn out couch, and dispose of the chairs in the back yard that are ripped and not suited to sit in.
