Escape the city life and unwind at this bright, well maintained, Cape cottage close to it all. Walk to all the best spots in Dennis Port - under .5 miles (10 min walk) to both Haigis and Glendon beaches, and just a few steps away from Joey’s, the Doghouse, Chapin’s, the Sand Dollar, One Stop for breakfast and more! Walk 7 minutes to the Cleat & Anchor for your daily Red Sox games. Just a 5 minute drive to Bass River beaches for kayaking, tubing, and other family activities. Enjoy the best of both worlds – in the middle of the action but in a peaceful, quiet neighborhood.

We’ll make you feel at home and are happy to provide our “insider’s guide” on restaurants, shops, boutiques and activities all over the cape to make your trip one of a kind.

The space:
Open floor plan for easy entertaining all on one level. There are 3 bedrooms, one bath, and an outdoor shower to cool off after long days at the beach.
Bedroom one: Queen Bed

Bathroom has shower only (no tub)

Details, Details: Micro split A/C that cools entire cottage, wifi and smart TV with Netflix/Amazon/Hulu (use your password), lobster pot, starter set of soaps, coffee, tea and paper goods included. Front patio with BBQ grill, outdoor table with comfortable chairs (seats 4), 2 bikes, storage shed that contains beach gear (4 beach chairs, umbrella, 2 boogie boards,).

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING: THERE ARE NO LINENS. Please bring your own sheets and towels (including beach towels). Everything else is provided. Comforters with duvet & pillows provided. 1 Parking spots off street but room for more on street. Make some wonderful, happy memories at Sullivan Cottage!

The home is updated, clean and has a good selection of kitchen necessities. It is close to beaches and is centrally located if, like us, you want to see a lot of the different towns on Cape Cod.

Our family of four stayed a week and really enjoyed this property. It’s nicely decorated and very clean. It has one of the nicest/cleanest outdoor showers that we’ve experienced in a rental house. The shed is stocked with items for beach-going (umbrella, chairs, boogie boards, wagon, and even a couple bikes). The mini-split and dehumidifier kept the house very comfortable. The patio table was the perfect place to enjoy our coffee every morning (and a night cap every evening). Dennisport is nice and centrally located — we easily made trips to Chatham, Provincetown, and Nantucket. Cynthia Lane is adorable, dotted with similar cottages, and is easily accessible (even walking) to shops, restaurants, and beaches. Initially I was thrown by needing to provide our own linens but I understand this is common for the area. The only thing that could make the house absolutely perfect is if it had laundry, but I don’t know where they would put it. We’ll very likely be back in the future and would recommend this property to anyone!

Easy check-in and great communication! The house is in a great location close to everything and is modern and updated. We loved relaxing on the front patio and enjoying the beautiful lawn. The beach chairs and wagon were clutch with our toddler and walking everywhere! We will definitely stay here again next time!

Clean and cozy cottage in a great location

My wife, 2 yo and dog had a great experience with this rental. It's small but has everything you need -- clean and comfortable living space, kitchen with all the amenities, great outdoor amenities (patio w/ table + chairs, grill, outdoor shower) and a sizable outdoor shed with bikes, beach chairs and umbrellas. Best of all, it's located in the heart of Dennis Port, walking distance to good beaches and restaurants. We highly recommend!

We already miss Sullivan Cottage!!!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our week at Sullivan cottage (2 adults, 2 toddlers). It was clean, on a quiet street, and had a nice front yard where we played with the kids and had a few picnics. The cottage had a bumbo seat, a wooden train set, and beach toys for kids that aren’t mentioned on the listing and were a huge bonus for our family who traveled in by plane. Many of the reviews mention a small bathroom, but it was fine and didn’t bother us. The house is quaint, cozy, and well decorated— which may not be important to everyone, but it’s something I look for when paying summer rates in Cape Cod. (Lots of the rental houses you see look like you’re staying in someone’s basement from 1999?!) The house layout / open floor plan makes the most of the space, and has thoughtful conveniences like chargers in all the nightstands, fans/mirrors/hooks/closets in every room, a shoe rack by the front door, etc. The location in Dennis was convenient for biking to great restaurants, ice cream, mini golf, and the beach. And bikes + helmets were included with the house!! Our favorite close beach with kids was South Village, and our favorite dinner night out was at the outdoor bar at Ocean House. The owner’s guide was helpful to find local tips, and the owners themselves were so hospitable and gracious— and responded to questions almost immediately via text! We would highly recommend Sullivan Cottage to other small families and hope to be back next year!

Cozy cottage

The cottage was great! The host was quick to responde and offered great info about the area. It was super clean and comfortable. We had never been to Cape Cod and our experience here is sure to make us come back again and again!

Great Cape vacation

This property was very nice and exactly as advertised. The reviews that talk about the small size and the teeny bathroom are totally accurate. We were willing to try it because we liked the location, the look of the interior and the price! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, but did find it hard in a property this small for two adults and two teens. Two bathrooms, or a bigger bathroom, would have improved things for us. The lack of a dishwasher was inconvenient but not a deal breaker. The lack of a washer and dryer was very hard, and we probably wouldn’t rent a place again without one. We didn’t have car space for multiple towels per person, and one beach towel just wasn’t cutting it! (And we did not want to go to the laundromat on vacation. But we knew there was no washer and dryer going in, so no fault to the owners!) Having said all this, however, the place is decorated so nicely. It is furnished nicely (the dressers and beds could be better) and uses all the available space really well. It was extremely clean. The bathroom is tiny, but new and very clean. The kitchen is tiny, but again, new and so clean. We cooked several times. The owners were great to work with, and even had their landscaper come do an extra clean up when we alerted them to a large amount of berries from a tree all over the lawn and patio. Haigis and Glendon beaches (a 10-15 minute walk) were great. Small and seaweedy, but we went twice because they were convenient and pretty! And the bikes, chairs and boogie boards in the shed were fantastic and in great condition! The potholes in the road are more like moon craters. It was literally the craziest road I had ever driven on. But it gave us all a good laugh as we were driving at 3 mph. No harm done. If you have a small group I would definitely rent this house. It just proved to be a little too small for us. But did we figure it out and have an excellent vacation? You bet we did!

Misleading advertising

The property is not in walking distance from the beach . Gladon beach which is about a 15-20 minute walk doesn’t even look like a beach you could even swim in . I ended up going to Dennisport beach which to me was much nicer ,You definitely need to have a car to get around .The neighbors are not too friendly, so if your a minority expect some stares. also pretty much everything restaurant that was recommended by the hostess was closed . Nothing is open .It’s a ghost town where the house is located . I had to go to a Stop and Shoo which you have to drive to , There’s no nightlife , in fact there’s not much going on at all that’s within walking or driving distance near this property. I was a bit disappointed. I traveled with my two adult sons who are 25and 20 . I’m 43 and was a bit taken back . Otherwise the property was as described. The house is a bit small and the bathroom is very small . The home is clean and does provide basic necessities. There’s only one TV with very little channels . Now I know the pandemic hit a lot of the smaller areas hard , however I wish that I would have been told about the businesses in the area not being open . Probably won’t be coming back .

It’s surprising and disappointing to receive this review after the level of engagement and hospitality demonstrated. As shown by the multiple previous five star reviews on location, Dennis Port is a wonderful place to stay with lots of restaurants and beautiful beaches, of which Glendon is a 15 min walk per Google maps. This stay was during the off season in a New England beach town during a global pandemic and therefore should be accounted for when considering this opinion. This person could not be satisfied even after dozens of recommendations made and the emails received saying she was having a great time. Our home is cozy and has been listed as such, the pictures and floor plan are accurate and recent. Our home is one of the only properties with an upgraded cable package including NESN so unsure how limited channels factored in. The neighborhood has always welcomed any and all that have stayed in our property and don’t feel this is an accurate representation. Please feel free to reach out directly if anything in this review hasn’t been addressed and you still have a concern. Thank you.

Cute house, great location

Cozy little house was perfect for our family of 3 + dog. The neighborhood was lovely and quiet, and the location was great for everything we wanted to do in Dennis and throughout the cape. Definitely a small kitchen and small bathroom - we ended up using the outside shower more than the inside shower. Owners were immediately responsive to our questions. Was a great experience!

September at Sullivan Cottage

We felt very comfortable in this cosy chalet. It was spatious enough four us three adults and a toddler, very clean and well maintained. Several public beaches are in easy reach. One more advantage of Dennisport: no sharks at all, in contrast to the outer shores of Cape Cod. The Sullivan Cottage is highly recommendable.

Wonderful house, great location

The house was clean and centrally located to beaches and restaurants etc. The yard and outdoor shower were a bonus. We traveled with a dog and a 6 month old and would definitely recommend this place to families.

Very clean and well maintained

Thus property is very good. Clean and well maintained. Just 2 drawbacks. First, the portion of the road in front of the house was a dirt road with several potholes, but apparently, this is not uncommon in the area. Second, although clean, the bathroom is exceptionally small. I imagine it would be difficult for an overweight person to use. Although it CAN sleep 6, I would limit it to 4 due to bathroom. We would definitely rent this property again

Thank you for the feedback. We really appreciate it. We are looking to make bathroom renovations in the near future. With respect to the road conditions in front of the house, we actually view that as a positive since it limits and slows traffic on that street. This makes the neighborhood quieter and safer for children playing.

Wonderful!

Property is neat and clean all updated for the most part. Owners are great to work with and are available anytime. 1/2 mile easy walk to beach. Lovely patio set out front to enjoy morning coffee: tiny bathroom but both indoor and outdoor showers. Loved it there!
