Quiet area away from the busy village, plenty of wildlife ( a bear came into the carport one morning) and beautiful sunsets. Yummy snacks where provided, we will happily visit again when we return to the USA next, lovely hostess thanks Vonnie.

Exceptional on all fronts! The price was so reasonable for being inside the park, and Vonnie was hands down the absolute best host I have ever met. Thank you so much for the accommodations, if I’m ever back in that area I’ll be happy to stay again.

After extensive research on lodging in the area, we ended up staying at the Pedegrine Lodge. The accommodations were even better than the listing described. Vonnie is an excellent host and an even lovelier person, helpful in every way. We fell in love with Yosemite as soon as we pulled into the park. I would recommend that anyone only consider this property while visiting the park.

After a long, fun day of hiking we enjoyed sitting on the deck with our snacks and drinks watching the sunset. It was convenient being 25 minutes from the valley floor. Vonnie was friendly and helpful. Our place had everything we needed for our stay in Yosemite. We can't wait to stay here again.

Vonnie was so welcoming and accommodating from the start. We ended up booking extra days in the Lodgepole Room because we enjoyed ourselves so much. The view was lovely, the room was cozy, and had everything you might need. Definitely will be back!

Unforgettable stay!

This is an unforgettable stay at the Lodge , it was clean and just perfect for us, it is quiet and we love the patio! Vonnie, the host was really great to guide us.

Perfect Weekend Spot

This was the perfect spot for 2 people to spend the weekend! The lodge was quaint and quiet, which is just what we were looking for after a long day in the park. We had everything we needed and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We’ve already talked about coming back!

Yes, there is such an advantage to being outside of Yosemite Valley but still being inside the gates of the national park. The Yosemite West community is calm and quiet - a great place to unwind after a full day of adventuring.

Enjoyed the snow

Great studio place to stay and had everything you need. About 20 minutes from the valley. We were there to try to watch firefall but the weather didn't cooperate

Very nice location inside the gates of Yosemite. It is about 8 miles to Tunnel View, which made it a nice easy early morning drive to try for sunrise photos. Nice hot shower and warm nice bed were welcome changes from the few nights of camping earlier in my trip. Nice deck to relax on and recharge with a coffee while downloading photos from the Firefall in Feb 2025.

It was a good location, between two areas of the park we wanted to visit. It was pleasant, clean, and everything worked. The first night, we had people in the room next door with a loud tv up late, but it was quiet otherwise.

Unique property in a beautiful area. Room with private bathroom, fireplace, comfortable bed, refrigerator, microwave, easy off street parking on level ground. Most places in YosemiteWest have a long stretch of steep stairs to enter, but Peregrine Lodge has covered entry door into lobby at ground level. WiFi works well, and room was stocked with snacks and coffee. Half mile to the trunoff for Badger Pass and Glacier Point; about 15 minutes to Tunnel View. Highly recommend either one of the private rooms with private bath between January and March, or the entire cabin between April and December.

We absolutely loved our stay at Peregrine Lodge! The Lodgepole room is wonderfully cozy and spotless with a smart and thoughtful use of space that made us feel right at home. Each morning, we appreciated the coffee setup and basket of snacks, which were equally welcome after long days of hiking. In the evenings, the beautiful stone corner fireplace created the perfect atmosphere to relax and unwind. There is also a patio overlooking the mountains—ideal for enjoying our meals and even savoring a surprise light snowstorm on the morning we checked out.The TV has RUKU for anything you would want to watch, but no worries if you can’t find what you’re looking for— there is quite a nice section of DVD movies in the common area or you can choose from some boardgames as well. The Starlink Wi-Fi is lightning fast and we were able to catch up on our messages, emails and such when our time exploring Yosemite was over each day. The location is fantastic, just inside the West Yosemite entrance within a short, scenic drive to the valley floor. Vonnie’s communication was exceptional—clear, detailed, and always prompt. She generously shared a wealth of knowledge about hikes, viewpoints, and current conditions in the park. As an experienced outdoorswoman, she truly knows Yosemite inside and out and offered invaluable advice that enhanced our trip immensely.Vonnie is a delightful host, and we couldn’t recommend Peregrine Lodge more highly. Thank you, Vonnie—we hope to return soon!

Very clean and combortable

You should remember to take a screenshot when they give you the code of the doors because when you get there, there is no service and the messages of the app don't open. The water was White but they left lots of small water bottles. Everything very clean and combortable. Very nice fireplace and balcony. Appreciated a lot the snacks for breakfast.

That’s a great suggestion to take a screen shot of the entrance codes. Being at 6,000 feet of elevation, surrounded by mountains and forest, it is difficult to get cell coverage. Verizon is the only cell service that works in our community. Once you are inside, you’ll have the lodge internet service access and password. The water can come out cloudy (“white”) as our community has its own well. But let the glass sit for just a little bit and it clears up. It is fresh Sierra mountain water.

Fantastic

Beautiful place to stay, very clean, comfy bed, loved the balcony. The dvd library was a nice touch, and we really appreciated the snacks and coffee/tea setup. 10/10 would stay again!

One Weekend: One Great Experience.

First of all, I would recommend to anyone to book at Peregrine Lodge from the informative and speedy responses from Vonnie. Any questions I had were responded to within an hour or two from sending. The lodge itself has many pluses as well! The pass-code to enter the main lodge and then my private room made things seamless after arriving late in the day after exploring Yosemite Valley. The room was very cozy with just the essential amenities. everything was clean and ready for us. Most importantly the bed was comfy and the balcony view was perfect to sit back and sip a beer after hiking all day. The proximity to Badger Pass ski area and Yosemite Valley while maintaining a quiet neighborhood (We stayed in winter time so i dont know what summer is like)made this the perfect location to stay in Yosemite while avoiding the high prices and crazy busyness of the actual Valley.

It is so much quieter to stay up in Yosemite West versus the Valley - and this is true even in the busy summer season. So many guests appreciate getting out of the crowds, noise and camp fire smoke that happens in the Valley and get away to the calm, quiet and peaceful atmosphere of the lodge. Nice stay in Yosemite NP

The location of this property was very convenient for spending a few days in the national park. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The view from the deck and the wood fireplace in the room were a great bonus.

A great experience.

My girlfriend and I only stayed 2 nights at Peregrine in the lodge pole room, but I wish we had time to stay longer. It was a wonderful experience and Vonnie is super helpful and responsive. The room is cozy with a real cabin feel with tasteful NWestern touches and the the fireplace was amazing, we took full advantage of it. A very comfortable room to stay in with a big bed. Yosemite west is a short beautiful drive to the Yosemite valley down along Wawona Rd, where you’ll pass the famous lookout below Yosemite tunnel where you can see the most incredible vista on your way down to or on your way home from the valley - naturally sunset and sunrise are amazing times to stop at this lookout. Would love to stay again one day.

Great Yosemite Getaway

Couldn’t have been better.

We were very lucky to have found Peregrine lodge and had the chance to stay there on our travels around the West Coast. Our only complaint was that we weren’t able to stay longer. Vonnie was a lovely and helpful host and if we get the chance to come back to Yosemite we will definitely try and book there again.

Perfect little getaway!

We stayed in the lodgepole room and it was exactly as described, perfectly cozy and the most amazing water pressure in the shower. The location of the lodge is perfect, inside the park gates and about 20 min to the valley floor. Vonnie is the greatest host! She was so warm and inviting, the lodge does end up feeling like your home away from home. We will definitely be back!
