Carlsbad Getaway - Spacious and new!

This beautiful Carlsbad home is the perfect place to escape and unwind, or entertain and play. With five bedrooms, including a bunk room, large living and dining room, brand new kitchen, and a backyard with hot tub and fire pit that is perfect for entertaining, you may never want to leave. But if you do venture out, we are located in the perfect spot tucked away on a private street with cul-de-sac, within walking distance to the beach, a short bike ride or drive to the downtown Carlsbad village, and great freeway access.
This home has been completely remodeled specifically designed to accommodate our guests. The downstairs living space is open and spacious with large windows that let in great natural light, with sightlines from the entry to the living room, dining room, and kitchen. The kitchen has been completely remodeled with beautiful countertops, new cabinets, and new appliances.
The downstairs bedrooms are comfortable and spacious, including the bunk room that comfortably sleeps six, and two other private bedrooms.
To access the upstairs, guests will have access two more bedrooms through the backyard, making it an ideal quiet space for working, young children who need rest, or adults who need a little more privacy, or for teens who want to stay up a little later. The primary bedroom has a King bed, and the second bedroom has a pull-out, queen sofa bed.
The backyard has a large table and outdoor seating, with a brand new hot tub for you to enjoy. The side yard also features an enclosed laundry room and an outdoor shower.
There is plenty of parking with two cars that fit comfortably in the driveway, and additional street parking in front of the house.
This home is one of the few large homes with air conditioning, making for a comfortable stay.
Although this home is located near the train tracks, we have installed double pane windows and additional sound-minimizing measures to help reduce the noise, but please know that these preventive measures do not sound proof the home. Children who stay at the home may even enjoy the sights and sounds of the occasional train.

Great spring break staycation

We are local to San Diego, but wanted to do a little staycation for spring break near the beach. This spot was perfect 5 to 10 minute walk to the beach, restaurants nearby, and grocery stores too. Tons of space. The owner was super helpful when we were having trouble with the Internet and even came down to take care of it herself. We would definitely rent again.

Great location for our needs….train noise a bit of a pain, but tolerable. A little sparse on some necessities (paper towels etc.), maybe an info folder, that sort of thing. Great location for the beach, and quick access to interstate and connecting roads. Would stay there again

Spacious, comfortable beach house

House spacious and comfortable, kitchen well stocked for cooking, plenty of room for five older women. Had a little trouble with code entry, TV Internet & hot tub but owner came personally and helped us. Suggestion, book of ‘need to knows’ in house would really help.

The proximity to the beach was wonderful The Kids loved the ocean and we all loved the fire pit and the hot tub. The Christmas tree was a special touch Plenty of room for everyone the upstairs was a little chilly but added blankets were much appreciated.

Great family spot.

Family Wedding Week

Overall we really enjoyed our stay. Is a very spacious set up with the rooms and outside sitting area with a hot tub and front porch to chill for a morning coffee. You are walking distance to the beach and very close to downtown Carlsbad. The train bothers you at first night, but you get used to it quickly and really is no issue. We enjoyed our stay!

Great Quiet Location

Great capacity for a reasonable price. The train noise isn't as bad as other reviews would lead u to believe. A/c on main floor is excellent. No A/C to max second story master but the weather isn't hot enough so that it mattered much. Quick and easy access to beaches and downtown Carlsbad

Beautiful home

The house is exactly what it is advertised to be. Clean and comfortable. If you are renting to go to a marine corps graduation This is about a 40 minute drive. The drive back after was just over an hour. I didnt understand Pendalton and Mcrd is different. The only thing I would change about the home is the one ply toilet paper. took about an hour. it renti to a Marine corps graduationju

Nice place to stay in Carlsbad for families

Spacious place to stay. We were there for Legoland and beach. Legoland is right down the way and the beach is a walk away. We also walked down to the restaurant which is a bit of a walk but doable. Beds were comfy.

Great family vacation

Loved staying at this property. The beds were comfortable and the house was very nice. The grandkids loved watching the train go by. The train was not disturbing even with its close proximity to the house. The beach was around a ten minute walk from the house. Beach chairs provided by the owner was an added plus. Great location near grocery store, downtown and area attractions. Would stay here again.

Annual Family Beach House

The home was perfect for all 9 of us. The owner was quick to resolve any issues. We loved the private entrance to the bedroom upstairs. The kids loved the bunk room. I would suggest more bath towels in the home and owner to inspect after housekeepers.

This house is spotless.

If you are looking a place beautiful home for a family to vacation this is it!!! It was so clean, comfortable and beautiful. It was a perfect staycation. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. There is a train that goes by every once and a while. My grandson loved it, and the noice did not bother us at all. We walked to the beautiful view of the lagoons and a short walk to the beach. So glad I booked it.

Perfect location

Spent Presidents week with our son, daughter in law and 3 kids. We went to Legoland, the zoo and the animal park. The house was perfect for us. The girls loved the bunk room. We didn’t use the room upstairs. Big table was nice. We brought games and puzzles and had plenty of room for the 7 of us.

Family gathering

The property location was optimal for walking to the beach or to the village. The layout made it so nice to have my family close but separate when we needed our own space. The people who live behind caught us off guard when they walked by the window a few times and left the side gate open. But we quickly learned who they were. Loved having a hot tub to sit in at night after a long day of hiking/or spending at the zoo.

Awesome fit for our family despite the rain

We were worried it would get cramped because it rained almost the whole time we were there but I was pleasantly surprised that wasn’t the case. We wished the dining table was bigger or that there was a small table on the side or something but all in all it was great. Internet wouldn’t work on the TV but who wants kids stuck to the screen all day anyways? Nice beds, great outdoor space, open kitchen. We had a couple kids that loved the train so that wasn’ta downside for us.

Clean spacious home in pretty good location

I would probably rate this home a “five star” (or 4-1/2 at least) but for two things. The fourth bedroom, located as a separate unit accessed by going into the back yard and then up a flight of stairs, is not air conditioned. This probably would not be an issue during much of the year, but during our visit in mid-July, the weather was hot enough to make the room uncomfortable. The second (related) reason is the proximity to the train tracks (basically, right across the street). Those of us who slept downstairs in the air-conditioned house with the windows closed were, for the most part, not bothered by the trains during the night. But the 2 who slept upstairs had to leave their windows open because of the heat, and they complained of not getting a good night’s sleep due to the trains. Other than these issues, the house is nice.
