Making New Memories is found on Hwy 180 headed towards the Fort and Tacky Jacks. Once considered a fish camp and now a small piece of luxury on the peninsula island many have come to know and love.

Our beach cottage is a 3 Bedroom / 2 Bath home sitting on a very private 1/2 acre of land. Just one street away from being ocean front. Relax on the front porch, feel the constant breeze, and enjoy your view of Mobile Bay. Relax on the back deck off of the King Master and Queen bedroom and enjoy the beauty of the Gulf of Mexico.

We purchased this little gem in March 2018 and remodeled the property in April and May of 2018. It boasts an open airy living room/dining room combination. All new appliances and furnishings.

Our home is taken care of by a dedicated team of individuals that are local to the area and will take care of just like you were family.

We hope to be chosen as your next vacation destination.

New in 2023 heated pool option is available for your stay. Charge for heating the pool is $300/week. Heating the pool is NOT recommended for winter months as the heater is only capable of heating the water so much. Refunds will NOT be given.

Golf cart is NOT included with the property! A golf cart is available on the property for a charge of $400/week. Golf cart rentals are also available through a local company called island carts golf cart rentals!

Cute place close to the ocean. Pictures of the rental need to be updated however. There is not a 1 minute walk to the beach. You do have to walk a little ways to get to there. Need to walk up the long driveway, on the main road for a minute then down the next street, straight to the beach. Less than 10 minutes. The beach was great. Not crowded and the sand was soft and free of things to step on. Pool is nice and did not need to be heated. Great way to relax after you get back from the beach. Beds were very confortable. We slept great. Kitchen has everything you need. Laundry is below but room holds all the beach toys and chairs you need. Bring some mosquito repelant for night time swims. We enjoyed our time here.

This place was amazing. My husband I stayed there with our 4 kids (17, 15, 14, 12), there was plenty of room. The days we were there, of course, was cooler than normal, but the heated pool was a life saver, we enjoyed it so much. It was just a short walk/drive to the amazing beach

Our stay was perfect for me and hubby and our dog. VERY clean, easy check in. The pool was amazing! The home is very private with a nice private yard and grass for my girl to play ball. We went to the beach and walked- approx 5 min walk. (Lessons learned: i will bring a wagon next time so not carrying all my beach bags, drinks, etc.) Also, we loved going to Tacky Jack's bc we could bring our dog. Very enjoyable!

Loved the pool. Great option to the beach that could be crowded at times. The house was very pet friendly and loved that we could take our pet with us to Tacky Jacks right down the road. Beach supplies at rental were a huge plus as well.
The umbrella was perfect for Trixi.

Wonderful Stay!

Loved this beach house! It had nice views. We enjoyed the decks and the pool. As a con, you do have to go on the main road for a little to get to the beach as other reviewers mention.

So glad you enjoyed your stay! I agree, before the houses were built the short trip though the yards was much easier but the road is short and sweet right to the beach access. We’ve got used to it now but i totally understand. Hope to have you again soon!

Great Stay

The house was very nice, loved the location and the pool. Rent the golf cart, it will make your beach trips effortless. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was stocked well, everything was very clean!

Summer Getaway

We took our first trip to gulf shores from Milwaukee and we loved it. The house was great, the kids loved the pool and it was a perfect distance to the beach.

Great location, beautiful house, awesome time!

My family had a great time in Alabama. The house was beautiful and very well equipped. Spent a lot of time at the beach, the fort or just exploring the area. Will definitively make this a yearly retreat for us!!

Beautiful Beach

This property is just as pictured. Very clean, private location, and just a short walk to the beautiful, uncrowded beach. The pool would be great for kids in warmer months.

Pat and Bonnie Murphy who already own and rent two homes in the Surf Side Shores Subdivision since 2004 decided in 2017 it was time to invest in another piece of property but wanted to find investors that would love the area just as they do. They pitched this idea to Ben and Holly Millman and together they bought the "Fish Camp" in March 2018.
