In order to ensure that the cottage is clean and as safe as possible we are spacing at least 2 days between guest visits. We have enhanced our cleaning routines and are taking extra care to disinfect the cottage due to COVID-19.

Looking for a beautiful retreat nestled in the mountains or a family vacation getaway - you've found it!
Whispering Creek Cottage located in historic Little Switzerland is just off the Blue Ridge Parkway with easy access to Asheville & Blowing Rock. A gently winding mountain road will guide your ascent to peace and tranquility as you approach this adorable 1915 cottage.
Whispering Creek Cottage is owned by two artists, who have added their own decorative flair to each room. This cozy two bedroom, one bath cottage has a large full kitchen/dining area, nice sizedliving room and sleeps four adults comfortably. The cottage offers all the amenities of home (Cable TV & WiFi Internet) with the feel of the past. You will love the heart-of-pine floors, the sound of rain on the tin roof, fireplaces in each bedroom, large front porch and original artwork throughout the cottage.
Whether sitting on the front porch or napping in the hammock you will be lulled by the babbling creek, which runs along side the cottage. The kids will have a grand time playing in the creek and with any luck will see a salamander or a crawfish hiding beneath the rocks. Summer nights bring promises of starlit skies, catching fire flies and roasting marshmallows in our outdoor fire pit.
The small towns of Marion at the bottom of the mountain and Spruce Pines on the other side of the Blue Ridge Parkway offer plenty of choices for grocery shopping or grabbing a bite to eat.
So whether spending your days relaxing at the cottage or enjoying a day of adventure in nature ... your stay at Whispering Creek Cottage will be one that you will long remember.

really cute little cottage that felt miles from anywhere, while only 20 minutes from Little Switzerland, Marion, & Spruce Pine. Brenda was an excellent and communicative host - would absolutely stay again!

Absolutely an amazing stay! We kept the windows open at night to hear the water from the creek. Sat on the porch and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Wonderful little cottage!

The house is definitely home away from home. The host checked in on us to make sure everything was good to go, and all of the comforts of home are at this property, plus a beautiful landscape with a river to visit right in the back yard! Beds were comfortable, the home was beautifully decorated, there were lots of things to keep my family and I entertained in the house if we wanted to stay in, and I wish I could take that front porch home with me because that was my favorite spot. This was my second time staying here, and I know I will be coming back for sure. We appreciate being able to visit here, and it’s our favorite house we have stayed at from any Vrbo property ever! I also appreciate all of the information about nearby locations to help with sight seeing. This property is close to the blue ridge parkway, and being located on 226A is perfect, because that is such a scenic and fun rd to drive on. Thank you Brenda for allowing us these lifelong memories we have made here at your property!

The house was perfect for us. There are well maintained trails that lead to the fire pit area as well as down by the creek and back up to the house. Inside was neat and clean. The house had everything we needed. We are looking forward to coming back one day.

Wonderful stay
We loved our stay at the cottage. Everything was perfect and the decor was so special. The location was great and central to the places we wanted to visit. This is now our go to place to stay when in Little Switzerland!

Another great trip!
This was our second stay at this wonderful property! We plan to stay again as it's the perfect getaway if you are looking for a quiet trip to the mountains. Great for our two kids under 6!

great cabin in the mountains
very comfortable accommodations with all you need for a quiet week. everything worked and we enjoyed having the solitude and quietness we expected

Wonderful stay in the mountains!
This is our third time staying at this house and we'll sure to be back again! Our children love to make a fire and walk along the stream. Great spot!

Loved this house!
We loved our stay in this house. We had such a good time and there were a lot of things to do on the property and surrounding areas. I’d give it 10 stars if I could!

Relaxing Getaway
This cottage is a hidden treasure! So charming and inviting. Truly home away from home!! The fire pit and creek were an added bonus we thoroughly enjoyed. Would love to stay here again!!

Beautiful Location and Welcoming Home
This cabin was so “homey” and easy to enjoy. Loved reading on the porch, walking by the creek, and sleeping in! Super quiet location with a grocery store close by… we hope to be back.

Sorry about that. Because we have a septic tank, we have to use a thinner and more disovable. Other than that was everthing to your satisfaction.

Whispering Creek cottage
Our stay was fantastic… us four sister age range is 60-75… we had a great time and the area was quiet..weather was great.. the creek running was so smoothing (just wish I could have gotten in it)
The cottage was very clean and maintained…

Awesome anniversary get away
The property was amazing. Just what we were looking for. A really nice quiet weekend getaway for my wife and me on our anniversary. We really enjoyed the creek and the surrounding woods fire pit. Everything was just great thank you very much.

Wonderful trip to the mountains!
We had a wonderful time! We have stayed at many cabins and this one is by far the best! We came with our two sons and they had a blast in the streams! We will definetly be back!

A Very Nice Getaway
It did us well, it's location was good, property was easy to find, and everything you needed was their. Will stay their again, my wife and I loved it.

charming retreat in Little Switzerland NC

I have enjoyed this area of the country for years. My husband and I are both artists and we love the fact that there are so many artist living and working in the area. We also enjoy camping, hiking and fishing and this area is great for those pursuits.
