Directly on the Ocean

Great adult family location. All bedrooms have views of the ocean and sliders to the deck. Plenty of family room to spread out. Home is just as pictured. Lynn is wonderful and quick to respond to any questions. Already talking about renting again. The home faces South so you get sunrises and sunsets!

A Weekend to Feed the Soul

We are making this an annual trip and will choose this house as long as it is available. It is perfect for us - five women who have known each other for many decades, and all love many of the same things: the ocean, walking on the beach, reconnecting with friends, talking about our children, our dogs, our grandchildren, reading good books, eating seafood, and nurturing our bodies, minds, and our souls. It is a beautiful home in a great part of Emerald Isle. We had a delightful time and are grateful to VRBO and our wonderful host!

Thanksgiving at the beach

Oh wow! What a wonderful property for our family! The home was well equipped to cook and enjoy anything you might imagine. Large size mixing bowls, extra cookie sheets, baking dishes, etc. For our non-traditional Thanksgiving dinner, we had everything we needed. The pool table was such a win and we spent many nights as a family around it. Lynn was incredibly easy to reach, proactive in her communication with us, and all-around set us up for a very memorable stay. The house is laid out well to accommodate space to gather as well as space to lounge separately. We took advantage of both decks and loved waking up to a view of the beach every morning. We’ve already booked another stay! Bonus points for being pet friendly.

Just what we needed....

We were all in need of some stress relief and this was the best medicine we could have asked for. After the long drive in from Indiana we arrived after dark. Turned on the lights and the place was gorgeous, smelled good and clean. We were greeted by a couple of spiders who had found their way in and were up on the cathedral ceiling but my husband and a broom took quick care of those and we didn't see any more the rest of the trip. Lynn contacted us when we arrived and I just had one question and she answered it. The day after we arrived the area was hit with a tropical depression. The ocean was very angry, but it was beautiful. We spent most of our time on the decks or on the very comfortable sectional upstairs watching the action. We found everything we needed in town. Went out to eat a couple of times but the rest of the time was spent relaxing. Once the weather cleared we spent time on the beach, walking the dogs and just enjoying the beauty. Lynn was so kind she offered us another day since we had had bad weather, but unfortunately we had to get back. If not, we would have stayed, we loved it there. Thank you Lynn for letting us enjoy your beautiful and comfortable home. It was just what we needed.

Pine Knoll Shores Stunner

My family, friends and dogs were welcomed to this oceanfront home. The house is huge, inviting, and comfortable. The house has spectacular views from all rooms. The owner was extremely generous with staples. It gets a 10/10 easily! We will absolutely love to go back next year

Beachfront Bliss

If memory serves me correctly, this was our fifth year staying at Wayne's World. Our family consists of 6 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs. We love this place because it is nice, but very livable. Everyone has an oceanfront bedroom. Host is most accomodating. I feel as if we are friends after all of these years!

Wonderful For Big Families

Loved the cottage. Everything we needed was supplied. Only issues we had was with the ice maker and freezer not wanted to open or close and the fire alarm upstairs not being hooked up. Other than than that it was wonderful. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful vacation

We had a great stay at a great house! We are repeat visitors and this house doesn’t disappoint. Beautiful views, dolphins were very active during our stay. Comfy beds and and well stocked house.

Family reunion

The space suited our group of 9 ranging in age from 7 months to 75 years very well. Lots of space to spread out. Nice that a crib, changing table and high chair were in-house. Basic essentials in the kitchen were a bit lacking. Too bad everyone has to buy all spices and condiments, only to have to remove them? Beds did not feel like queen, more like doubles ( tight). The early (10:00am) check out is tight and the required cleaning is much more than I have ever had to do before. It’s a Lot! That the ocean is right in front of you and all bedrooms have a view is awesome. Also nice that chairs, umbrellas and beach toys are in abundance. Overall a very nice stay. ps. Be prepared for Lots of stairs! Which reminds me. Gates at the stairs would be beneficial. When you rent a place with crib, changing table and high chair, a gate at the top of those many stairs would be safer.

Christmas getaway

This is a well-maintained and clean house. The owner is very organized and on top of the management of the house. She has thought of all the things you need, and everything is readily available should you run out of anything. We liked that all the bedrooms had a view of the ocean and easy exits to access the beach.

Great Vacation

We had a wonderful time at this property. The property manager was very communicative, responsive and kind. The views of the ocean are amazing on every floor. The house was spacious with 2 living rooms which was very nice. The beds were comfortable and the linens and towels were very soft. The location was perfect - very close to the grocery store and other shops if needed but yet far enough away you didn’t feel the hustle and bustle of town. We really enjoyed everything about this property and the area and look forward to visiting again!

Beach Ladies Getaway

We are five women who have been friends for many, many years and who love the ocean, especially Emerald Isle, NC. This house is perfect for us with a bedroom for each of us - and every bedroom has an ocean view! We love to walk and talk and laugh and read and write and eat seafood. The house is nicely decorated, the kitchen well suppled, and the rocking chairs just seal the deal. This was our second time staying at this house and we will be back!

October Get-away

Property offered everything we needed and more. We loved the ocean front decks, spacious living areas, well-equipped kitchen, and pool table. This was the second year we rented here and loved it.

Perfect for four generations!

This is easily the best beach home we have rented. We had four generations together, ages 1 to 87, and there was plenty of room for everyone. Two gathering areas allowed for playtime and quiet conversation. Beach front access was easy and access to chairs and beach toys much appreciated. Honestly though, the most positive comments were on the quality of the linens and paper products provided. Too many hosts scrimp on these basic items, so having higher quality sheets, etc was much appreciated!

Great property on Pine Knoll Shores

My friends, family and I had a great time at this property located in beautiful Pine Knoll Shores. The location is great - very close to Atlantic Beach and not too far from Emerald Isle. There is much to see and do around the area. The house was spacious - we especially enjoyed using the 2 decks - and had several amenities which we enjoyed using (pool table, washer/dryer, TVs.) We would return!

Great vacation with our family

We loved the house. Very large porch upstairs and down. Perfect location for sunrises and sunsets. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for our family to split up. Everything was included: paper products, laundry supplies, baby items, beach chairs, beach towels. We were close to restaurants and grocery stores. Had a wonderful time!

Quiet Beach Family Vacation

Emerald Isle 2023

This was our first time staying directly on the beach! The home has beautiful views, great beach access and plenty of room for everyone! Great bonus: all of the supplies were appreciated! (soaps, bath towels, beach towels, paper products). We had a wonderful week!
