Bask in the picturesque view of Oneida Lake in our gorgeous beachfront, Cuckoo Cottage. Liza Minnelli starred in the film, “The Sterile Cuckoo" here! Beautifully renovated, yet we kept Sterile Cuckoo’s memorabilia for that timeless touch.

It is Sandcastle #1. Located in the heart of Sylvan Beach, right next to Harpoon Eddie’s!

Perfectly sized with two bedrooms - One guest room has a full size bed and the other room has a bunk bed - with a full bed on the bottom and twin on top. (Please limit top bunk to150lbs.) The cozy living area has an oversized couch & loveseat, countertop dinette, and television for some inside entertainment. The kitchen is equipped with a stove top, microwave, Keurig, and refrigerator. All pots, pans, dishes, glasses, and silverware are provided. We offer free WiFi, cable TV, and AC!

Bring your own bed linens, pillows, blankets, towels, toiletries, and wash cloths as these are not provided.

A private (free) parking space that accommodates 2 cars. Located past the pavilion behind the bank. There is also on-street paid parking available.

No need to check-in as there is a coded entry. You will receive a message prior to check-in with your code.

If you need a late check-out, you need to let us know ahead of time & will be charged an extra fee. **

There is a charcoal grill available for use. You are responsible for charcoal & cleaning after use.

There is a large picnic table and Adirondack chairs for seating outside. Please close umbrella if winds pick up.

The Eastern Shore of Oneida Lake is shallow, sandy, and is great for kids and adults of all ages. Enjoy swimming, sunbathing, fishing, watch the kids play in the sand, do water sports, check out the boats along the canal, or rent a boat from a nearby marina! Be sure to check out an Events Calendar as there is much happening all summer long!


Become a kid again at Historic Sylvan Beach Amusement Park, just a short walk down the road! Enjoy dining and entertainment at Harpoon Eddie’s - right next door! Try your luck or see a show at Turning Stone Casino - It’s about a 20 minute drive. Bet on the horses at Vernon Downs Racing. Experience trendy shopping and dining at Destiny USA in Syracuse. Just a 2-minute walk down the beach to the Lake House! The prettiest sunsets right out the front door.
