YOUR GUEST SUITE: Le Jardin
Welcome to Rendezvous by the Sea — an intimate, couples-only retreat where romance meets the rhythm of the sea. Our two beautifully appointed suites, La Mer and Le Jardin, are nestled in their own private building, separate from the main villa where your hosts live onsite. Each suite has its own entrance and patio. La Mer is the upper suite; Le Jardin is the lower. They can be rented together or separately.
Perched directly on the oceanfront, Rendezvous by the Sea offers breathtaking, unobstructed views of the water from virtually every corner of your stay. This is a place designed for two — where the only thing on the agenda is each other.
We have installed a full solar backup system, so you can relax completely — power outages are simply not something you'll need to think about here.
Our water is collected from rainfall and purified through a dual filtration and ultraviolet light system. Unlike most rentals, our water is perfectly safe to drink.

BEDROOM
Your suite gazes out over the bay with sweeping, panoramic ocean views of St. John — a stunning backdrop whether you're waking up with coffee or watching the sun melt into the sea. The room features a whisper-quiet split air conditioner, or, for those who prefer to fall asleep to the sound of the waves, two sliding glass doors with screens and a ceiling fan let the ocean breeze drift in. The king-size bed is dressed in a deluxe pillow-top mattress, 680-thread-count Pima cotton sheets, and four hypoallergenic down pillows — the kind of luxurious comfort that makes it hard to get up in the morning. Light-reducing curtains are provided for those who like to sleep in.
The suite is thoughtfully stocked with a mini fridge, microwave, Keurig coffee maker with a selection of coffees and teas, wine glasses and opener, Brita water pitcher and glasses, plates, bowls, cutlery, linen napkins, a cutting board and knife, and kitchen and paper towels. A yoga mat is also available for your morning practice.

BATHROOM
The spacious bathroom features a large walk-in shower. Complimentary Shikai Natural shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided, along with four sets of ultra-soft bath towels, hand towels, and washcloths.

MEDIA
A wall-mounted 34" flat-screen HD TV with Roku player lets you stream from your own Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu accounts. High-speed Wi-Fi is included — though something tells us you won't need much screen time here.

DECK
Step onto your private patio and breathe it all in. Cool ocean breezes, the sound of the waves, and sweeping water views set the scene for lazy mornings and romantic evenings. Sink into the cushioned bench seating or pull up to the bar-height bistro table for two and let the ocean do the rest.

POOL
Our deep octagonal pool is a perfect retreat for a refreshing dip together. Shared among all guests, it is surrounded by reclining lounge chairs with ottomans for sunbathing, and a lower sitting area where you can sip a cocktail and lose yourselves in the view.

BEACH & OUTDOOR GEAR
For St. John's spectacular beaches, we provide two beach chairs, a cooler, and two oversized plush beach towels.
Rendezvous by the Sea has its own private rocky beach, accessible via a path from the villa — sturdy walking sandals (not flip-flops) are recommended for the steep descent. Monte Bay offers wonderful snorkeling when the waters are calm, and the shoreline is ideal for beachcombing. Please admire any shells or coral but leave them in place — photographs are always welcome.
A blue tandem kayak is available for the two of you to share. Just let us know when you'd like to head out and we'll provide paddles and life vests. On calm days, Klein Bay Beach is a leisurely 30-minute paddle away — a perfect little adventure for two.

HOUSE RULES

No smoking anywhere on the property.
Check-in: 3:00 pm | Check-out: 10:00 am
Conserve water. All water on St. John comes from collected rainfall. Please use it mindfully.
Conserve electricity. Power costs significantly more in the Virgin Islands than on the mainland. Please turn off the A/C whenever you leave the suite. If you'd like to open the doors and windows to enjoy the ocean sounds and breezes, please switch the A/C off first.
During a power outage, our solar battery system will keep essentials running. To help extend battery life during prolonged outages, please conserve electricity until island power is restored — turn off lights, fans, and the A/C when not in use.
No food left out — on the deck or in the suite. Store open, non-refrigerated items in the ziplock bags provided and refrigerated items in the mini fridge.
Trash: Please tie up your trash bags daily and place them in the covered bin provided.
Beach gear: Rinse off all sandy items with the hose provided before returning to the suite. Sand is a precious natural resource and should stay on the beach.
Beach towels only at the beach. Please do not take bath towels outside.
Toilets: Toilet paper only — no feminine hygiene products, wet wipes, or any other items. St. John homes use self-contained sewage treatment systems that are eco-friendly but sensitive; anything other than toilet paper can cause a serious malfunction.
Bathroom sink: Same rule applies — nothing down the drain.
Noise: You'll enjoy full privacy on your deck, but as your hosts live onsite in the main villa, we ask that you be considerate with noise levels after hours. For a livelier evening, St. John has plenty of great nightspots!
