Shell We Dance? Charming Bungalow with Fabulous Location and Private Pool!

Like so many homes on Anna Maria Island, our home was severely flooded. Professional photos are coming, but until they are in, we thought you may enjoy a sneak peek!
We made a few needed changes in the floor plan, and believe it is at its best ever! We cannot thank those who reached out to us and wished us well, and those understanding guests whose vacations were upended by the storm and its toll on our humble home. It is with much gratitude that we thank you for your kindness, understanding, prayers, and love. Shell We Dance is back and better than EVER!!
Sweet vintage 1950's bungalow/cottage with all the charm of the island! Beautifully decorated, fully fenced back yard with private pool, (second building is the original garage where bikes and beach gear are stored). Located on the island's much sought after north end, it is a short walk to Bean Point Beach, Bay Front Beach and Park. Crystal clear waters of the gulf, white sands, and island breezes await!

2 bedrooms, 2 baths. Cozy living room with queen sized foldout sofa, screened in lanai, kitchen, and laundry room. With full sized washer and dryer included in the home and complimentary bikes to explore the island. Other items at the home for your use during your stay are beach towels, pool toys, beach chairs, a cart to roll all your gear to the beach, and pack-n-play for baby. Many accoutrements included!

Adorable spot

Location was fantastic. Great pool, fenced yard, and all the things we needed for the beach. It’s a small cottage but the use of space is perfect and all the finishing touches were top notch!

Cute beach home close to Bean Pointe! This was our second time staying at this property. This home was perfect before, but has only gotten better with recent renovations after the hurricane in '24. The property is exceptionally clean and functional. You will love the pool and one of our favorite spots was the screened in lanai! The owners are incredibly responsive and they have a great team that manages their property!

A slice of paradise!

We had an amazing week at Don & Sally’s place. This is our 4th trip to AMI and Shell We Dance is by far the best place we have stayed. The decor is so chic & beachy, they thought of everything! Just a 5 min walk to beautiful Bean Point for a beach day or to catch the sunset. The backyard is a tropical oasis, the pool was perfect and the fenced yard is super private and allowed us to bring our pups. We would definitely stay here again.

The house was renovated very nicely. It has a warm farmhouse beachy vibe with all the amenities. My favorite of course was the backyard with a great pool. We all were very comfortable and enjoyed ourselves greatly. I could not have picked a better place than this cute bungalow with great hosts. Thank you!

Great location yard for dogs

The location was great - close enough to the action but far enough to be nice and quiet at night. The place if great for those with dogs too - completely fenced in and super friendly for my pack!

We have stayed on the Island a number of time and must say this is one of the best places we have stayed at, its a really well kept property and the pool / garden makes it one of the best, great location

Everything was great and we especially appreciated how nicely the place was stocked with utensils, etc., which were not the usual cheap junk property managers usually find but quality all the way around.One major suggestion: We sat outside or tried and we were eaten alive by mosquitos and other flying bugs. I mean, we were bitten all over and insect repellant didn't even work! What you need is a significant bug zapper. That would improve the experience exponentially. Thank you.

We were taken with Anna Maria Island the minute we visited. We knew this would be the place we would one day retire. Chicago area natives, we have transferred with Don's employer several times, including to the low country of South Carolina, the Indianapolis area of Indiana, and southeast Texas. With many family members and friends living in Florida, it has been a place we have come to enjoy and visit quite often. Nowhere has captivated us the way Anna Maria has! To us it is heaven on earth and a place we hope everyone will be able to visit at least once in their lifetime! It is the people that make it truly the warmest and most welcoming of islands we have visited. Now we own a small slice of the island and want to share it with as many people as we can. We hope your stay in our humble home fills you with relaxation, fond memories, and gratitude for the island and each other. Enjoy!

The northern tip of Anna Maria Island is a quiet, laid-back area, with the most amazing beaches! The white sands are created from crystal which stays cool even on the hottest of days, and if you shuffle your feet, the sand "sings". The waters are so clear you can see your feet while waist deep. The Rod and Reel Pier is literally down the street. Some shops, eateries and beaches are literally minutes walking distance, and you can bike to others on our complementary bikes!
